Update: TFCC has updated their website with Treadshot's full reveal and new details on TFSS 2.0. The molds will be coming from the Transformers Prime, Generations, and Henkei lines: 5 Deluxes, 1 Scout, plus a bonus 7th figure to be shipped out with the 6th figure. A total of 7 figures with three new head sculpts.
After the great success of the Transformers Figure Subscription Service (TFSS) 1.0, the Transformers Collectors' Club now brings you version 2.0! The TFSS is only available to active club members. This service is an optional feature and is not included in the cost of your annual Transformers Collectors’ Club (TCC) membership.
The TFSS 2.0 will consist of six different Transformers toys. You will receive six shipments starting in approximately February 2014, and then each month after that for a total of six months. Figures will be shipped in a surprise sequence (figure shipments will be the same for everyone each month) and it will also be a surprise each month as to which figure you receive! Your last shipment (6th shipment) will include a FREE mystery figure! That’s right, if you sign up for the TFSS 2.0 you will get a BONUS 7th figure! This 7th figure will never be sold in the club store. The only way to guarantee getting it is to sign up for the TFSS 2.0.
The limited edition TFSS 2.0 contains a variety of fan favorite characters from the Transformers mythos, all tied together by a great story to be told thru Transformers: Timelines. The assortment includes some very popular Generations, Henkei and Transformers: Prime molds. For 2.0 we will be offering 5 Deluxes and 1 Scout with THREE new head sculpts. You will definitely want these toys as part of your Transformers Collection. Stay tuned for more updates as the order period is scheduled to begin in mid-September of 2013.

- Fisitron from Generation Roadbuster
In other words, nothing new. It's worth noting Chromedome is getting one of the presumably two new heads, and "Ironfist" is out of Hasbro's reach it seems, so they're using the anagram "Fisitron" again.
And I derped in not realising that Treadshot is a straight redeco, not a retool.

One that could possibly lead to a Ruination repaint? All we need is candidate redecos for the rest of the Wreckers.

I don't think TFCC is going to repaint all five figures, do you? How would that work? One of the five is part of the SS and you have to buy the other four separately as store exclusives? I just don't see that happening. And don't we already have enough repaints of these figures? I believe there are already five different paint jobs for those figures.

I actually don't mind Roadbuster being redecoed into Ironfist/Fisitron. I want to repurpose the Wreckers as their Generation One incarnations, and with the Voyager Whirl coming down the pipe soon, I was going to skip on the Fall of Cybertron Deluxe. With Ironfist/Fisitron coming, I can skip on Deluxe Whirl and still have a full Ruination. It's a win-win for me!

Just because one guy does a repaint doesn't mean Hasbro or the club has to go all "hands off." I'd rather have an official toy than some paint-caked mess I tried to do.

Manterax Prime wrote:So, Chromedome from TFP Wheeljack. Hasn't someone on here done that already? If so, just goes to show that FunPub and Hasbro are running out of ideas.
That would be Blurrz. He's also done Hot Rod from the Prime Vehicons, and IDW Fortress Maximus from Armada Megatron.
I wouldn't say that they're running out of ideas. Rather, they're listening to fans who want popular characters made into toys. Chromedome hasn't recieved a single toy since his first back in his debut in the fourth season of Generation One and Headmasters. It's about time they did one, though I wish he was available to the general public.

I'm not sure what your response means. My questions were (A) Don't we have enough repaints of these molds already? and (B) How would a set of five figures work into TFCC's plans? Either all five figures would have to be part of the TFSS or the TFSS subscribers would have to buy the additional four figures as regular TFCC store exclusives. I don't see either happening, and saying "Nexus Prime" doesn't really address either of those questions.
Posted by Jelze Bunnycat on August 15th, 2013 @ 2:56pm CDT
- Axer: RiD, repaint of G2 Road Pig, and homaged with HftD Axor, retool of RotF Lockdown
- Jackpot: TFCC Subscription, retool of Animated Jazz
- Kick-Off: BotCon 2012 as Kick-Out/Kick-Over, retool of RtS Special Ops Jazz
- Banzai-Tron: BotCon 2007, repaint of Energon Mirage, as homaged with HftD Banzaitron, repaint of RotF Bludegon
- Treadshot: This guy
- Circuit: TFCC Subscription, repaint of HftD Axor (like the original is a repaint of Axer)
- Thundercracker: BotCon 2011 Souvenir
- Slicer: BotCon 2010, repaint of Energon Downshift
- Double Punch: BotCon 2010, repaint of Energon Scorponok
Let's not forget the homages:
- Rad: homaged with Cybertron Smokescreen
- Gutchruncher: homaged with RotF Sparkcrusher, repaint of Universe Warpath
And a 7th figure? Transmutate should not count, FunPub!

Sorry about the vagueness. My iPod had almost died when I posted it.
I was aiming my response toward possible redeco of the other Wreckers/Combaticons as future TFSS figures, or maybe even subscription freebies.

JelZe GoldRabbit wrote:And a 7th figure? Transmutate should not count, FunPub!
It doesn't, Transmutate is a 2014 TFCC exclusive outside of TFSS. According to their update the only way to get the 7th figure is to be part of the TFSS, won't be available anywhere else.

That's good to hear. Awaiting further details so I can torment myself with the fact I'll never get them anyway

Basically TFCC is pumping out nine exclusives in 2014:
The membership incentive figure - Protoform X/Rampage
2014 exclusive Transmutate to pair with Rampage
Six TFSS figures (Treadshot, Fisitron, Chromedome, and three yet to revealed figures, plus the seventh bonus figure)

No, it's part of the announced line-up of 6 ("For 2.0 we will be offering 5 Deluxes and 1 Scout with THREE new head sculpts"), the 7th is a total mystery.

Well, that proved I can't read.
I never was one for Scouts, but if it's an homage to a popular character, or a previous character that has yet to see an update, then I'll probably be over it!

Seriously though... Treadshot was a gun (look at his legs)... Looks cool, but still..
Gunn not Taank!
Also... a scout? Really... They finally gonna make a decent (Armada)Dualor from Cybertron Scattorshot? (probably not, it'll be Rook from Windcharger!?) <- I'd like that...

You could repurpose FoC Whirl as updates of Rotorstorm or Rotorbolt...just with Whirls head. That's what I'm gonna do if I ever get my hands on the FoC Wreckers and Generations Whirl. I might even try to change the head as I have about 30 extras sitting around from those CHMS Lambor kits.

Megatron should be a gun too, but you don't see many gun Megatrons on store shelves these days. Also, there aren't many gun Transformers that match Treadshot's body. The only character that shares Treadshot's distinctive cannon-chest is Warpath. Pretty smart move, if you ask me.

If the orange had been replaced by light blue, that would be a passable idea in my mind. Also, I don't have spare heads lying around, so having Rotorstorm with a camera face kills it for me. I would be happy with having a gestalt having two components being made from the same mold.

I think Generations Deluxe Bumblebee would make a better Chromedome though.
And I'm still calling the Animated Arcee mold for Nightracer. Her look in the TFCC comic was pretty much a straight copy with a new head.
Other figures I would like to see.
Mainframe from Generations WFC Soundwave
Enemy from 2010 Rumble
Hubcap from either classics Bumblebee or WFC Bumblebee. Hubcap needs some love
Snapdragon from FOC Grimlock
Over-Run from FOC Vortex
Krok from Generations Megatron (stealth fighter version)
Reflector from Generations Perceptor. Why hasn't this happened yet?

That sounds about right. They probably feel it's easier to use a single term to collectively refer to both lines at once instead of saying both names.Wolfman Jake wrote:Any idea what TFCC means exactly by "Henkei" molds? Is that their way of covering all of Classics and Universe 2008?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but the Club has stated they will no longer use Unicron Trilogy molds because they are becoming old and decrepit. They've also said this next round of TFSS would consist of popular molds from Classics, Henkei, and Prime.

Nightracer from Animated Arcee
Mainframe from Generations WFC Soundwave
Enemy from 2010 Rumble
Hubcap from either classics Bumblebee or WFC Bumblebee. **(I'd throw in Bumper as well)
Snapdragon from FOC Grimlock
Over-Run from FOC Vortex
Krok from Generations Megatron (stealth fighter version)
Reflector from Generations Perceptor.
Scrounge from a data disc also a great idea. Fun.
Agree with all the chatter above about the delay being a problem, but there are a LOT of factors to the set being a success — fan response, breaking even (and being able to do it again), relations with the factory in China, relations with Hasbro, being able to get the molds and characters desired, new head sculpts being up to par... While the delay does suck, it's not that big a deal. We're still getting the figures.

Actually there's nothing to say that will be the case. Not only is Chromedome a first tier character in the IDW universe, but as characters like Thundercracker are a testament to, club exclusive releases in no way automatically discount mainstream releases.
