THIS ITEM IS LIMITED TO 5 PER MEMBERSHIP.
The first of the 2013 Transformers Figure Subscription Service Figures, Scourge. Very limited.
SCOURGE ®
“Vengeance is an excuse for failure. I do not seek vengeance.”
DECEPTICON ® CLONE COMMANDER
Cunning, dangerous, and cruel, SCOURGE is a no nonsense field commander charged with leading his army into battle. Although he shows little compassion for his troops, he shows even less for the enemy as he swings his signature “Sword of Fury” blade relentlessly towards the opposition, seeking to wreak as much bodily damage as possible. Should that fail to deliver the final blow, a barrage attack from his four shoulder-mounted missile launchers will end the fight with definitive results.
Formed when multiple personalities - including the heroic OPTIMUS PRIME’S ® - were simultaneously scanned, Scourge rarely speaks of his origins. He detests them. He seeks to one day rectify the “mix-up” during his creation by slicing through the AUTOBOT ® Commander’s armor plating and extinguishing the spark of life within.

I believe when they announced the service they did say that they'd put any extras up for sale on the site. This doesn't mean that every one will be put up. The service is a way to make sure you get what you want though.

Agreed
(off topic) Infact i just got the set, and it's not that bad, the colors are goofy on prime but they kinda work.

Ah, cool. I remember them saying they'd order the run based on the subscriptions received, but it would make sense for a factory to be like "We can't do 968 but 1,000 is fine".

Just enough to make them sell out within the day

Hehe, just kidding . This is awesome and I'm glad they did it, because (even though I did sign up for a subscription; gotta have my Ultra Mammoth ), I knew this figure would be quite desirable, so much so that it likely would have done well as a regular retail release (which we were all expecting before hearing about this thing being an exclusive) so it's good to know that collectors who wanted this but couldn't afford/weren't interested in the subscription service can now snag him.
He's up on BBTS too for $100 in case these run out and the ebay prices skyrocket.

Scalpers who wish to profit on the fandom through the secondary market do. They always do.Micronautsdeep wrote:Does anyone really want to buy more than 5 of these? Or more than 1 for that matter?

I bought 2, one to keep for myself and one to sell in the distant future.

With a decrease in value of at least 50% I hope? Reselling toys is no "get rich-quick" scheme

Not really. Just like with a magazine subscription, the point of the subscription is (a) you know that you'll get every "issue" automatically and (b) you save a little money off the price of buying each "issue" separately. I don't think there was ever any promise that subscribers would be the only people allowed to buy these figures.

Ugh. I love the mold and the colours, but I can't afford it, nor can I justify that price for a deluxe.
