The official Instagram account of The Loyal Subjects has been quite busy recently, showing off some GameStop exclusive vinyl minifigures - and it's time for Slag and Red Alert to shine, next to a special repaint of Optimus Prime. Check out the mirrored images below.

No no the report is just misleading, TLS site has all the exclusives and Red alert and Sideswipe are both getting their own vinyls

So are these for sale at Gamestop or are part of some kind of pre-order or something?

They're set to ship out on Friday if ordered on their website. Not sure if they'll be in stores.

The Loyal Subjects have posted on their Facebook page, an official image of the entirety of wave 3 of their blind box Transformers Vinyl figures. Wave 3 includes Scrapper, Longhaul, Bonecrusher, Swoop, Sludge, Rumble, Frenzy, Lazerbeak, Buzzsaw, Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Hound and Blitzwing. That's 14 more characters to fill out your Autobot and Decepticon ranks.

I picked up Red Alert, Optimus Prime (nighttime edition), and Sideswipe (nighttime edition) from my local Gamestop this week. They look awesome! Excited for Wave 3 and hoping they will make an 8" Devastator to go along with the Constructicons.

Well technically in the Japanese version of the cartoon, Frenzy was the blue guy and Rumble was the red guy (thus resulting in Rumble barely showing up and Frenzy being the main humanoid cassette).

Honestly although the overwhelming evidence in canon points towards FIBRIR I prefer FIRRIB, simply because that was how I remember them (I only ever saw the cartoon on videotape in the early 2000s, long after G1 was a thing- and because I never saw the RID cartoon nor did I know it existed, I always thought it was weird how the cartoon Transformers had absolutely no relation to the toys- thus beginning my history of assigning "home grown" personalities to my TFs). Also, it just seems to suit them better.

Now if only someone would make a Frenzy, Rumble and Ravage for Cybertron Soundwave so I can have a Soundwave with decent, non-floppy minions that doesn't turn into a goddamn tape deck...

On topic, these look kinda cool. I'm worried about how well they'll age though- isn't vinyl very squishy and prone to drying out (and also the paint flaking)?

At The Loyal Subjects booth at Toy Fair 2015 we get to see a wide variety of current and past products including previous waves and the boxed Game Stop exclusives. On display is the latest wave 3 featuring Scrapper, Longhaul, Bonecrusher, Swoop, Sludge, Rumble (red), Frenzy (blue), Buzzsaw, Laserbeak, Trailbreaker, Sunstreaker, Wheeljack, Hound and Blitzwing. ScottyP informs us that the chase figures are Sunstreaker 1/24, Hound 1/48, Frenzy (the blue one for them) 1/96. Wheeljack has light up blinking ears with a demonstration video coming later. The large black figures are customs.

I wonder how they would do a Devastator in this line, since they're making the Constructicons. They could just reuse one of the larger-scale molds, although it would require tons of retooling to make it look Devastator-ish.

This wave has me hook, line and sinker. Hound and a light up wheeljack, yes please!

When these first came out, I managed to hold myself back from getting into them so I missed wave 1 but with wave 2, just like the kreos, something about these little guys just screamed "buy me!"

One of the key 1984 characters is a 1 out of 96 chase figure. Another is 1 out of 48.

I'm not buying damn master cases and selling them. That's work. I really, really don't like this business model when the chase figures aren't things like the Sunstorms and variants of other characters like they were in the past. Not that I'm uber completionist on these, quite the contrary, I only get a handful of them on impulse and the characters that I like. Were they not blind boxed/chase figure BS land residents, then maybe that'd be different. They also cost too much.

Basically, this weekend I learned that the vinyl figure collecting thing which has overlapped with Transformers on these and Hikari or whatever is just not a scene I enjoy in the slightest.

Though, I will still buy that Wheeljack because it's cool.

Is there a catch-all discussion thread for Loyal Subjects Transformers figures or is this the main one?

I caught a glimpse of these Loyal Subjects vinyl Transformers figures at the impressive Seattle Emerald City Comic Con Bluefin Distribution booth this weekend and it was love at first sight! They look great displayed alongside larger official Transformers toys. I can't wait to start collecting more of them!

The Loyal Subject have really upped their game since series one.

I randomly picked up a series two last week end (got Slag), and was really impressed with not only the new articulation but also the amount of accessories he came with.

Makes me want to track down a few more. I'm loving the look of the Lazerbeak/Buzzsaw mold.

Not surprising based on the grammar in the rest of their release, but this Scott Steiner math that they're running works out to Devastator being comprised of 4.5 robots. :-B

How do you figure? This is just a dude with a license repainting some figures he's already got out in green anyway. Hasbro does nothing but put a rubber stamp on it, if even that. May have carte blanche outside of character selection for all we know.

Bluefin says they're offering the Loyal Subjects stuff including a Transformers "Construction set" which I assume is an autocorrect of Constructicon. Bluefin has multiple booths for some reason, but it seems #5050 is the one specifically for the Loyal Subjects.

Bluefin press release wrote:The Loyal Subjects

Power Rangers, TMNT, Transformers Action Vinyl Exclusives

The TLS booth will feature a full array of their ever popular Action Vinyl Exclusives from top licenses. From the Black-and-White Battle Damaged 3” Ninja Turtles to the Special Edition Crystal Pink Ranger to the fan-favorite Construction set, all figures come equipped with multiple points of articulation and fun accessories -- as you may already know, the Power Rangers helmets are completely removable!
