I'll just have to wait for the innevitable clearance sale and hope I will be able to grab one before the scalpers grab them all.

That depends. Do these fly off the shelves? Because if yes, then they should be on shelves. Quebec only had exposure to exclusives this year so all I have seen so far are the insecticons and YOTG soundwave and Prime. And as Kanrabat can attest, they are not budging. They are also sold online and collectors can get them there. I am sure TRU would rather have that nice space to put more hyperchange figures or voyagers and other low budget fast selling products instead of those. Thats how I reason this decision financially speaking.

It's true that for the high end collector items, it's better for them to be online exclusive. You will never see Mom take one on a whim for Little Timmy.
And I'll sound like a broken record, but man, these TrU prices... WTF, TRU?
Why the hell selling these for DOUBLE the price they are supposed to? Sure, it's anti-scalper, but goddamn, who is crazy enough to buy them at such outrageous prices when cheaper options are readily available? Why not make them online exclusive, 50% off, and limit ONE per customers? That way, the stock will MOVE.

I read on another thread that you didn't have internet, but now you can easily score these MP's from TRU.com and with free shipping there's really no downside.Z3ROhour wrote:Ive checked every Sunday or monday for 2 years. never a single one. not even acidstorm.
It depends. Prime, Grim, Soundwave, Thundercracker flew off of shelves. The Storm's sat around for a bit, and Prowl was probably the biggest shelf warmer, but everything sells eventually. At my TRU's the longest MP to hang around is YOTG Soundwave, but the price hike coupled with the odd deco is probably why.william-james88 wrote:That depends. Do these fly off the shelves? Only Prime and Soundwave really flew - it's easy to think Grimlock sold quickly because of how expensive it goes for now, but in fact they shelf warmed. For some time, actually. Thundercracker also stuck around for a good amount of time.
I 100% understand why Bluestreak would be an online exclusive. It just bums me out I won't be able to pick one out at retail. Almost everything I get from TRU's site is banged up a bit, and I like my boxes minty fresh. Hopefully they get some stock at Times Square.

AHAHAHA! I don't think my TRU ever gave them a shelf TO warm!

I'm pretty annoyed by the fact that YOTH Optimus is priced 100$ while the G2 butterscotch Optimus is priced 200$.
Yes, very annoying. In. Deed.

But more likely this is where Hasbro is doing their US launch, they've done that previous years with MPs launching at SDCC.

Holy crap Will! You're right! Those totally WERE the droids they were looking for. Tisk tisk, Sneaky Jedi.
So I'm confused. In the States, they are online only, but the rest of the world not. Is that what yer laying down jaki?

Honestly, you're not missing much. I mean, if they're not out in the USA at all for some reasons, that's odd. If it's just some stores that don't have them, you should be able to get your overpriced butterscotch fix online with free shipping.

shajaki wrote:The saying is true: never trust a Jedi. Yesterday we reported that ToysRus Exclusive Transformers Masterpiece MP-06 Bluestreak might not see store shelves. But not only will he see the shelves, he's currently sitting on some right now! Seibertrons own Down_Shift spotted the Masterpiece at a local ToysRus in Berlington Ontario (Canada) with the price tag of $89.99 CAD and snapped a pic for proof. How widespread his release will be is yet unknown, but Seibertron.com will keep you up to date!
The best thing about this picture is YOTH Prime. Love it!

Random thought.
Anybody find it interesting that they are releasing Bluestreak before Smokescreen? Ol' Blue usually suffers from a severe case of Skywarpitus.

Just in NYC at the flagship store, so of course they got them... there is more to the U.S. than New York. Nashville and St. Louis never got them.
Also, online ordering is irrelevant to those wanting to shop at brick and moter stores.

And it's still available for ALL canadians for just 100$!
"All?"
Well, not really. A small group of rebels still struggle against the Invader. No way an English only box will come within the borders of that territory!
"There must be a secret weapon we can use against these savages."
"May I suggest a tri-lingual packaging, sir?"
"IDIOT! THAT WOULD BE LIKE ADMITING DEFEAT!"
"Unless..."
"Oh that's genius! But we will see if they like OVERPRICED BUTTERSCOTCH! HAH HAH HAH HAH!"
"Houraaaaaahhhhhhhhh............"

First off, it's not just NYC. I'm from NJ, and there are plenty to be found there, too.
Second, it's one thing to prefer brick & mortar retail, which I do as well. It's another to shun online entirely. If something doesn't show up in store, you're just going to pass on it entirely instead of buying online?

Yeah Kanrabat, thats awesome!!!!!!!!!!!
And is it just me or is Canada killing it this year. We got the generations wave 2 deluxes and wave 3 voyagers early at walmart, MP Bluestreak is already on shelves and we have the cheapest platinum seeker set in both the north and west hemisphere. I still dont think that makes up for Arcee being so late coming out if ever (then again, I didnt think I would ever see one step stinger in stores).

It would seem so. You've got the Google doodle today and apparently the Women's World Cup (also from the google doodle).

Canadian shelves. It still might be a SDCC and TRU.com exclusive here in the states. I hope not but it's possible.

TRANSFORMERS Masterpiece Bluestreak from Hasbro®
What’s the most unstoppable thing on the battlefield? The mouth of Bluestreak. He never stops talking and he’s not a fan of silence. He likes the Decepticons even less. If words were fireblasts, Bluestreak would have wiped out the Decepticons long ago. This highly detailed figure easily converts from robot mode to sports car mode for added play, and comes with a blaster that jumps out whenever he sets his sights on Decepticons. This item will become available at Toys”R”Us stores later this year.
Remember keep your optics tuned to Seibertron.com for the latest in news and updates, plus the best galleries around!

Be careful what you wish for. While my roots are french (the canadian ones anyway), the very first english speaking canadians were americans who still felt loyal to england after all the founding fathers (except george washington) declared independence). So people like Editor, Shajaki and Downshift would move back to your neck of the woods!
Also, do you know what the CW Wave 2 deluxes and the Reissued Coneheads have in common? They were both in Canada before the US

I think they are just trying to cash in on the "Gotta Get It First" factor.william-james88 wrote:Also, just wondering, does this still count as an SDCC exclusive if they explicitly say its coming to stores too? What is the point of buying the hasbro version then and there (when there are surely other exclusive items you can only buy there) when you could wait for it to be in stores and maybe eventually discounted. Especially with the fact that the hardcore collectors already have the Takara version.

The availability of this item was quite a mystery with the different evidence at play. First, it was said that MP Bluestreak would be an SDCC exclusive and a web exclusive later. Then it was found on store shelves in Canada so we figured that previous message may have been the the US only. Then it was officially announced that Bluestreak would see a release on Toysrus shelves after SDCC.
And now well... here's MP Bluestreak, found in New York in the Times Square Toysrus for 76.20$ US after tax. It comes from a travelling Spanish TF fan, Technovik who found time in his honeymoon to shop for Transformers. I am guessing he married quite the understanding woman so congrats Tecnovik, on all accounts!
