I have some interest in the Autobots United set, because of the repainting (and the face plate on Evasion Optimus), but not quite enough to drop $125 and tax.

well, if i can attest (having just got the AU set yesterday), its worth it, especially if you dont have the molds yet.Henry921 wrote:Awfully convenient these listings go up the day after Hasbrotoyshop's promotional discount comes to an end...

i have 7 versions of EMOP now, and the AU one is probably the best one (not to mention one of the few with the faceplate).

Woah, 7 versions? (I am trying to come up with them all in my head). What do you do with all of them?

But now they got an even better code!
CYBERWEEK -- free shipping + 20% off

Also, I could be wrong, but usually coupon codes don't work on HTS exclusives, so they might not work on these sets. Has anyone tried?

uhh... nothing at the momentwilliam-james88 wrote:Woah, 7 versions? (I am trying to come up with them all in my head). What do you do with all of them?
all the EMOP's in question are:
-hasbro retail
-takara retail
-evolutions
-voyager grimlock 2-pack (asia?)
-breakout battle (hasbro rusty version)
-takara TRU rusty version
-autobots united
ones i still need are the expo nemesis/black version, and the "milk" version. and ill be getting a bape MP10 before that milk one (if at all).

That's the "7th" one I couldnt think of. I must say, it is an amazing mold to own many of, probably my second favourite to come out this year (#1 is MP Wheeljack).

yeah. i kind of became an EMOP completist by accident....william-james88 wrote:shajaki wrote:-voyager grimlock 2-pack (asia?)

- bought the takara version first thinking itd be my only one and it was slightly better than the hasbro one.
- next was takaras rusty version, liked it even though it wasnt the "truest" representation
- went for breakout battle cause it WAS the truest version of rusty
- got evolutions for the classics OP
- ebay'd the asia voyager grim 2 pack for grim actually
- grabbed the AU set for the other 4 bots
- and eventually got the hasbro retail one for completions sake (and on sale)
its funny cause i only really wanted... what? less than half of them

ahhhh. thanks for clarifying. i assumed asia because all the ebay sellers i recall with the set were located in asia.Sabrblade wrote:The two-pack Platinum Edition one with Grimlock wasn't Asia-only. It was a Kmart exclusive.

I just pre-ordered the Dinobots set, and the code worked fine. $102.23 with tax out the door.

About this item
One Decepticon is bad enough, but two is a nightmare! These Decepticon Stinger and Dinobot Slug figures are a scary alliance against the Autobots! Your Decepticon Stinger figure is a fearsome foe whether he's in robot or sports car mode, but he's even stronger when Dinobot Slug fights at his side as a robot or dino. Autobots might as well run for cover when Dinobot Slug fires his mighty cannon! Keep changing them both from one mode to the other as the battle rages on! Transformers and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro.
What are these people smoking????? In reality, I say this is corporate broken telephone and aside from checking for spelling mistakes, it wasnt proofread more than that.

Where did you get those bios from? I'm pretty sure that none of the Walmart Exclusive two or combo packs, not to mention the Legion Class figures, had bios of any kind.

Looks like it came from here - http://www.walmart.com/ip/Transformers- ... s/37555637?wmlspartner=FYAGeMjDX6c&=&affs=p&wid=5b6b4213e4b0bcb699adeb9f&u1=&oid=223073.10006940&sourceid=37141976172661509211&affillinktype=3&veh=affBounti76 wrote:Where did you get those bios from? Which means it's not a bio, but a product description, which was evidently written by someone who works on Walmart's website but wasn't aware that Slug is a good guy.
Another goof is in this one for Bumblebee and Strafe, which calls Bee a semi truck in a lazy copy/paste from the Optimus/Grimlock set - http://www.walmart.com/ip/Transformers- ... s/37555640?wmlspartner=FYAGeMjDX6c&=&affs=p&wid=5b6b4213e4b0bcb699adeb9f&u1=&oid=223073.10006940&sourceid=37141976172661509211&affillinktype=3&veh=aff

Also, that art on the side of the box is pretty nice, very TFP looking in its simpler CG.

That was my exact thought, his big head looks like Ironhide's and the body is a little on the skinny side. It's affordable though. The definitive version of the new Optimus Prime's robot mode would be the model coming out late December.

i skipped the general releases of hound, drift, and crosshairs, and boy am i glad i did. hound is a really great figure with PILES of weapons, only drawback being his feet. drift and crosshairs have their drawbacks, but are still some really nice figures. bee is bee, and prime is prime. and some of these figures biggest flaws were the paint apps, which were completely rectified with this set. they are stunning.
and take it from someone who knows EMOP's (ive got 7 and counting), AU prime is probably the best one. one of the few with a faceplate, perfectly placed and crisp paint apps. only thing missing is the wheel rims... *sigh*

I got an email from Amazon a while back that they were shipping part of an order I'd placed. When the order was first placed, they expected a release date of mid-December for their exclusive G1 redeco of AOE Voyager Class Slog, but it had subsequently been changed to an undetermined release date.
Well, I finally got a follow-up email with them stating that they now have a release date! Attached is the email I got. Looks like he'll be arriving the first week of January!

I thought that would be the same with me but as it turns out, I take the voyager out more simple because it is more in scale with the others.

Rated X wrote:I cancelled this figure a long time ago. Hasbro toy shop sold me an SDCC set with a grimlock that had chipped chrome. They refused to exchange just the grimlock. When I got the set exchanged, the figures were perfect but the playset was all torn and damaged. I returned that crap for good and stuck with the colored retail versions. I really never needed these anyways, it was just an impulse buy. Fansproject has the G1 dinobots covered.
You sure, I heard their Slag wasn't as expected.

They already have them but not in big amounts and are not prone to reorder them sicne they are quite expensive, take a lot of shelf space, and might not sell right away. The only place you would not find them is in the province of Quebec in Canada due to language laws.

and TRU.ca has the dinobot 5-pack up for preorder, so i assume theyll eventually have it in store.

As I said, they should already be there. Only the Dinobot 5 pack has not been released yet. If you do not find them in your store, then it's because your store has not ordered or reordered it. These are not known to stay in stores for long. So if they are not there right now, then I would not count on them showing up again, except for the dinobot pack that hasnt come out yet.
But why not try online at Toysrus.com. Most are expensive enough to warrant the free shipping. I always shop at online retail stores now, they are more likely to have your figure in stock.

(Oh wait, that's made of diecast. Never mind.)
I must admit that I quite like the orange sword (it actually looks like it's glowing with heat as opposed to just being made of orange plastic) but this would definitely be a nice-to-have. In any case, I'm really softening towards this figure- the paintjob and sculpting are so nice I can actually ignore the backpack, or even pass it off as part of the design. I...I kinda want one.
