I wont be able to buy these until after my son gets them -unless I buy two of each. * nope, it would be getting expensive -he is already wanting tidal wave, unicron and black arachnia bishoujos.

Please correct me if I'm wrong, but these don't look as sexualised as I would have thought, so, if I'm right, kudos to the Kotobukiya.

I'm also happy they didn't go for the "Gundam-armour-onna-bikini-babe" look that so many other fan-artists, 3P and official model kit makers release. I'm still not sure if my Japanese girlfriend would be cool with me buying these though...

I wish they were smaller and cuter, because then she wouldn't mind, I think.

Not a statue guy but that's quite funny. Though I kinda wish the Prime was yellow instead of red for Yellow Splendid Convoy reference kudos.

Yeah, I was looking at the MLP ones when comparing.

I would be more interested if they used similar styles to the "Borderlands" game. I'm not showing necessarily about the cell-shaded look, but rather the proportions of the physiques. Even with Moxxi and her sister aside (or not, if you take into account their rather well-done storylines), I think they would look cool done up like that. That or the women in "The Outer Worlds"? None of those females were "sexy" but they were "sexual" (ie., Had sex lives) and still looked like cool science fiction females, which didn't pander too the male gaze. I'm sure there is anime that depicts women in a similar way but still retains that certain "anime" aesthetic, right? Anyone here know what I'm trying to say and/or have any examples?

Seems to be a Hasbro mandate. The G.I.Joe Bishoujos are sexy without being hyper sexualized like the game, movie and comic figures while the MLP figs are more of a cute-sexy than anything. The Transformers seem to go both ways with Prime being closer to the MLP side and Megatron going the Joe way.

Oh, and these Bishoujos often get at least two repaints so Prime in Black or White and Megatron with black hair or even a Galvatron variant are entirely possible. Lady Jaye's repaint was of an obscure Indian figure and Scarlett's repaint was an obscure Argentinian figure. Meanwhile Baroness got her original cartoon/comic colors and later Crimson Guard uniform as a figure.





All of the MLP figures got their regular pony colors and clear hair. No repaint is too obscure here. Let's see some Bathing Ape camo Primes.

Based on these designs, I think Megatron needs to be at least 2 cup sizes larger than Optimus. I really look forward to seeing more of these done. Hot Rod and Arcee top of my list. I do hope they don't just repaint Optimus to Make Madnus though, but they probably will.
I also expect to hear in the future more complaints about them doing an Arcee or Wingblade then any of the "male" transformers.
As far as the seekers go, so many possible repaints there, but I really hope they come up with some way to make them physically different as well as color wise.

Optimus is a big "meh" for me. The truck kibble are daf and the mechanic theme makes no sense.

But thay Megatron... holy mamma! Everything works superbly!
She will be mine.

Now, I expect a Winblade in full sexy geisha get-up with a katana.

Also, why not a pretty expensive Soundwave set? She would be a nice MILF surrounded by her minions who would be her young and cute children.

Also, why not Arcee in full Evrest mountain climbing gear?
The boots, coat, beanie, earmuffs, blue shades, and to top it off, a GINORMOUS backpack!

Finally, G2 Megatron. Military fatigues, paintball gun in hand and purple paintball stains all over... and a HUGE set of BADONKADONKS.

If anyone wants a word of approval for this line, I can't think of anything better than this picture.

Hahaha that Freddy pic is awesome. Still waiting for a Scream Bishoujo though (& Toxic Avenger) and the Ghostbusters one could do with a reissue/V2. Weirdly enough they couldnt make Leather face cute at all, even with two different statues -maybe they could make a cute version of fused Ratchet/Megatron some how

I thought the second Leatherface design was really egregious, but Bishoujo's aesthetic has always been ... not for everyone, let's say.

Kotobukiya: turning a big dial taht says "Horny" on it and constantly looking back at the audience for approval like a contestant on the price is right
