JUST ANNOUNCED!!!

During the Transformers Collectors' Club panel today, it was announced that the Club will be rolling out a figure subscription service. Gallery can be found here.

Figure subscription service
No price points yet
Showed us all of the figures
Way this will work: sign-up period that will last 3 or 4 weeks
2 options can pay in full or 3 installments
Will be able to login and see every email pertaining to your subscription service
Will be able to update your address so it will go to your new address
Not sure if it will be 2 or 1 figure at a time

Figures shown:
Breakdown in G1 colors
Jackpot (Animated in Action Master style)
Scourge (Nemesis Prime colors, black Laser Optimus with upside down G2 Autobot symbol)
Slipstream (from TFP FE Starscream mold)
Circuit (from HFTD Axor mold, homages UK character)
Ultra Mammoth (Big Convoy mold done in Ultra Magnus colors)

Scourge, Slipstream, and those seemingly random Action Masters seems interesting. Maybe I'll sign up and sell any that I don't want on eBay. Or maybe just to users on these forums that really want them.

Ultra Mammoth for the Lulz!

If I do sell the figures here, I won't do it for crazy jacked up prices like on eBay. I'll probably just take the price of the subscription and divide it by the total amount of figures released (i.e. if Subscription were $500, and there were six figures, I'd sell each for $84).

All I see is crap besides scourge that's the only one I want even next years free figure sounds shitty but I like that mold so if the paint job is nice than maybe but seriously not impressed at all with these guys

Well, that's a good thing I believe. More of an adult TF collector club. I would suppose they are trying to compete for our monies now.

Breakdonw, Slipstream, Animated Jackpot, and SCourge are all nice.

Ultra Mammoth, Circuit, not so much. Don't like the Axor head, and well, Big Convoy is a good mold, but not my collection cup of tea.

Urgh, that Slipstream just does not cut it. It has no bustiness... just coz its slender and seems to have heels doesn't make it a worthy mould for Slipstream. Just looks... wrong #-o

I hope we eventually do get a new mould for her, because that mould is PRIME Starscream, and thats it.

So can someone please explain to be how this subscription service thing works?

Ultra Mammoth: Love, despite/because of the stupid name. This is one of those molds that I always very vaguely wanted but never found at a good price. Plus I love the ridiculousness of a cyan mammoth.

Also is anyone else super-excited that the club are still able to get ahold of Beast Era molds?

Jackpot/Circuit: While I love the idea of obscure characters getting their due I'm not a big fan of those molds, those colour schemes or the characters. A pass.

Slipstream: Not sure if want. I missed out on Starscream but I heard he's good. Don't think much of the character, Prime doesn't need another snarky, over-confident fembot.

Scourge: Bought on sight, obviously.

Breakdown: As much as I love the character I'm a little Breakdown fatigued what with the ROTF and all the Botcon figures. When are Botcon/TFCC gonna admit he's their mascot? Plus I hate that mold.

Ok cool I do we even know when these will be available and do we have to get every figure or just the ones we want I only want 3 of them and I'm sure we can buy more than 1 because I know someone who bought a couple of runabout but that's a little different I guess

Breakdown looks beautiful. It's both a blessing and a curse; this mold was DESTINED to be Breakdown, but cursed to be an exclusive.

I would have never thought of using Prime Starscream as Slipstream. Clever move, Hasbro. Clever move...

Scourge is just as I expected; complete badassness. Sad that, like Breakdown, he's an exclusive.

Ultra "Mammoth"? Really? Bad play on words...

The Club are gonna have a fun time trying to fit all of these guys into their little 6-page comics. Classics, Animated, Beast, possible Prime, Movie....

Ultra Mammoth is about the only one that interests me, simply for the Ultra Magnus thing. Though I do I need it? I have both Nemesis Prime and Big Convoy, and while it's a brilliant mold, paying who knows how much for UM may just not be worth it.

The only other interest would be Slipstream, that should be a general release so some of us can go wild with repaints.

The rest can go ... away.

They did say that there would be an opportunity to buy singles but at a higher price point than you get each figure for in the subscription.

I'd be a lot more excited about this subscription service if I was more interested in the figures they were offering. As it is, I only genuinely like one of them (Breakdown) and have interest in one or two others (Shitmold Scourge and maybe Slipstream.) Would be nice if there were different subscriptions that had more dedicated focuses. I don't want anything to do with Least Wars and while I appreciate Animated, I have no use for obscure repaints. Don't even know what to say about Circuit...half-assed mold with a terrible deco, and worst of all, has absolutely no purpose in my collection.

To be fair the figures are varied enough that it would probably be possible to find someone who wants the figures you don't and doesn't want the ones you do. Then split the cost for one subscription.

Given that Club deluxes usually go for $40-$50 I'm a little concerned about the price for Ultra Mammoth...

I personally also like Ultra Mammoth. It made me want to get the universe Nemesis Prime (but then I looked on eBay and that this is going at like $100-$150).

Some of those picture look very photoshoped and test-shotty. So he might very well look better down the line.

All those figures and only 2 that I want:

Mammoth (Big Convoy) as Ultra Magnus. I WILL buy this mold in any color scheme they can dream up. It's one of my favorite TF's of all time!
Breakdown. It's about f***ing time! I don't know how many times I've thought to myself 'Lamborgini Countache Transformer from G1, just like Sunstreaker and Sideswipe, most obvious repaint EVER and with all the repaints this figure has gotten they STILL haven't given us one!!!! (but now they are, so I am pleased, yesssss)

For all the rest, you guys can have em'. I've no interest in Animated or G2 and I've already got the Japanese RiD (Car Robots) Scourge, which IMO is far superior to the RTS Prime mold, so meh.
