Transformers Combiner Wars Fan Built Combiner Victorion In Hand Images and Videos

I like that head. The rest of it is just an unconscionably bad combination of colors and the overall aesthetic is horrendous. Wasted opportunity -- too bad.

Hmm, my feelings on her are complicated and long winded. I love her, everything works for me, but when it boils down to it, I just can't justify paying full price for a bunch of repaints, irregardless of how many new parts they have.

If I can score her while hts is still doing the springff code and snag her for ~$85, I'd seriously consider it. But at this point, I won't pay ~$120 (tax + shipping) for a bunch of molds that I already have 2 or 3 of

I just can't get into Victorion. I wanted to, but I can't. The sword is great, and I like what they did with the copter arms. I actually wish some of the prior molds made use of the winged arms rather than the missle arms but whatever.

I'm digging her and cannot wait to get her. And where did you get the $120 price point? I had seen $100 when she was announced, and considering that is what the G2 sets were going for, it makes sense that is her price too.

I don't mind G2 at all, I actually like a lot of the crazy color schemes, but I don't plan on getting any of the G2 CW releases(or Vicky). Gotta draw the line somewhere or I'll never get a house!

Why is she mistransformed? Everything up to now (and including the picture of the instructions) has shown that the helicopters are the legs.

I really want to like her. I really do. But I just keep feeling 'meh'. It's that color scheme. I'm not even opposed to those colors; it's just those particular shades. While I like the ingredients separately, I just don't want a mint icecream / orange soda float.

1. It's scramble city, they put the word 'scramble' in it for a reason.

2. It's stated that she gains the ability to fly - or something like that - if she uses the helicopters as arms, so, yeah... mistransformed, I'm sure

Not bad. Initially, I couldn't have cared less about this figure, but it's kinda growing on me. I kinda like the color scheme, it's out there, but at the same time represents the theme of rust very well. After all, they're from the Sea of Rust. Their names are pretty stupid, but if I do, I'm buying them to look good on a shelf. One thing, though, all this time I thought the cars were going to be mold mates as well, like the helicopters. I thought Dead End was gonna be used for both the cars. If I see this set on eBay loose, I'll probably pick it up.

Nope, that's never been the case, they were even shown off like this last year at sdcc or whatever, and seen too, in the official pics

Hasbro mixed up Stormclash and Skyburst's alt modes on the packaging. I shouldn't be surprised, they've consistently gotten that wrong ever since their debut at SDCC 2015. But is it too much to have expected that SOMEBODy, SOMEWHERE, noticed that the red on the helicopter roof was in the wrong spot on the robot foot?

The set itself looks nice, I look forward to finding these ladies.... but I also kind of want to see if Takara tackles them and does them better. Decisions, decisions.

I like what I see and I wants it. Dust Up and Jumpstream's car modes look awesome, so does Pyra Magnas'. The other three are more meh, but still cool.

I still think I'm on the buy side on this one. She looks pretty good in hand and I like the little touches of Cybertronian writing on them. I wish there was at least one more color just to break everything up but I'll live. Anyone else think that the combined modes eyes are slightly too far apart?

Personally, I cannot wait to get my hands on this one. I'm surprised U.S. Preorders haven't rolled out yet.

I'm with a bunch of other people here: I like everything I see, but the characters themsalves just aren't priorities right now against the other products coming up.

I assume there is, but can anyone confirm that there is some way (sliding head piece, flip-up panel, etc.) that prevents the fire truck from having an exposed giant face looking backward down the ladder?

Yup, you turn her head 180 degrees and the little, new flaps sticking up next to her head in combined mode will tab together in front of her face, hiding it (just not the rest of her head )

Dust Up's head sculpt is really cool and cute. The final color layouts are so much better than that slopped on sample we saw so long ago.

My interest has gone from .5 to 5.75 in this whole package. Just have to see how the year plays out.

Hopefully I'll be able to nab this, G2 Sups, and MP Shock at Botcon.

But if you wait like I do, you can find her at better prices. I never go BBTS or other sponsors that get the transformers first. I wait for other sites to pick them up where shipping is free or there are deals.

Actually, this is correct. The way the arms of Rust Dust attach to the chestplate means this is the official transformation. If she were on with the wheel facing down, she would only hold on by a single peg rather than 3 and she would rotate freely.

No, Defensor and victorion both require the motorcycle to be placed that way.




Pretty much all the official photography and images showed it the other way, but this is how the bike actually attaches. It is due to where the arm peg holes are placed on the chestplate

Unless Victorion's chest is resculpted, Rust Dust sitting wheel down is a mistransformation, albeit one propogated by official photography and fiction. Much like Stormclash and Skyburst's reversed alt modes.

So you're saying we chose the color lay-out, or the heads? That's pretty weak to go laying the blame on the fans, as the professionals pretty much left out the third color in the pallet that was chosen for it...

We got to vote on the following:

Her gender
Her name
The molds used (actual molds, not just air/ground)
Her color scheme
Her special power (Gravity control)
Her origin ("Rust Sea" won, so while the components are from Caminus, Victorion proper was "born" in the Rust Sea in-fiction.)
Her "rival" (Galvatronus won, and while that "character" doesn't exist in the IDW Generation 1 continuity, there is a current Galvatron for her to butt heads with!)
Her attitude ("doesn't take instruction well" won, and yeah, her first forming, she's kind of a loose cannon until Windblade talks her down.)

All the actual design work using these parameters was Hasbro

You can tell who follows the comic and who doesn't. She looks very spot on to the IDW character.

Hey, I'd love a "Power Suit" themed combiner. Not sure how they would work the design to be universal. The *nightmare* that ensued when you basically had to have a chart to see which Go-Bots could fit in which power-suits, is not something the industry would want to repeat...

I wasn't talking about *every* fan vote. Just this one. I just think that the gender and name and backstory had already been decided upon way before the voting was allowed. The prototype and now the finished product reached us very fast once the voting was concluded. Which means Hasbro had the figures ready to go, they just wanted to wait until the fans were placated. Victorion was always gonna be a female with the backstory she has for the sake of being politically correct and including more female characters. Which makes the voting a moot point. And Transformers are supposed to be gender-less? This is just my opinion, though, I speak for no one else, and I'm not trying to convince anyone else. Having said that, I do like the figure overall, and if I get a chance to pick it up at a decent price, I will.

Transformers have never been genderless, despite what official media would claim. They have always been written, stylized, coded, and portrayed as mostly male with a few female characters thrown in. Their stories have pretty much always been the stories of giant metal people allegorizing human problems in a unique way.

As for the rapidity of the Victorion sample, the voting ended at the end of February 2015, and she was unveiled at SDCC the first weekend in July. That's four months they had to concoct new parts for the chosen figures and churn out the first samples (which were hand-painted and quite possibly had 3D printed parts tacked onto available mold samples, just my speculation). It doesn't seem that farfetched to me that they were able to churn out a sample in that time, especially given that it still took the better part of a year to mass produce the figures and get it on shelves.
