Wouldn't the UK be western Europe though? Not doubting the story mind, just that the UK is definitely not central or Eastern :)

Hmm, wait another 5 weeks for it to start airing on TV, or continue to watch Hasbro release the episodes on Youtube (up to episode 3 last I checked)?

Agreed, considering the only countries in europe more westerly than the UK are Ireland, Spain and Portugal.

Personally I had no problem hearing the dialogue on the Machinima series either, but I'm not going to ignore the fact that, that series had tons of audio issues.

As for Cyberverse, the dialogue is fine when there is no background noise, but Soundwaves effects and synth audio made it very difficult to understand, for me at least. Heck, Megatron even seemed to have an Aussie accent at times, and we know that can't be right ;)

Honestly, wasn't as bad as I thought it was goign to be. Windblade is far less annoying than usual, and Bumblebee isn't any worse than usual. Starscream was thoroughly amusing.

Was quite surprised to discover Optimus' isn't voiced by Mr. Cullen, but someone who is clearly trying to mimic him. With that said, he comes across as terribly stiff and not so approachable as the Prime of old.

It has potential. I'll give it that much.

Two pieces of news in one concerning the new animated series Transformers: Cyberverse! First up, the new episode - fourth in the series - is now available (as of Saturday morning, US times) on both on TV and on its Cartoon Network website and app.

Additionally, we also have titles as synopses for episodes 9 and 10 in the series, courtesy of the website TV passport, and it seems like the 'new' Decepticon character is due for her debut soon ! Check it out below, and join the conversation in the Energon Pub!

Shadowstriker Oct. 14, 2018
Bumblebee revisits memories of his arch-nemesis Shadowstriker and learns there's more to being a hero than just knowing how to fight.

MacCadam's Oct. 14, 2018
Bumblebee remembers MacCadam’s, his favorite hangout on Cybertron.

Episode 4 is also on Youtube, probably region free, thanks to a heads-up from user Sabrblade.

Ugh....It's funny how a fangeek mispronunciation addressed in a BW episode over 20 years ago, rears it's head again. Great research there on the part of Cyberverse writing staff.

Prime repeatedly saying TeleTRON, like nails on a chalkboard. :BANG_HEAD:

[Inset obligatory Star Trek parody joke] What did Bumblebee see when he went to use the toilet? ;)

Answer (the first two words spoken in this episode)

Watched a little of this, and I found Bumblebee hilarious. I liked that they at least attempted to do the whole Bayverse thing of "Bumblebee can't talk".

Windblade is a welcome modern "regular cast" Autobot. Like the Seekers, and one of them appears to be a female Decepticon? What's up with Grimlock?

A couple of news updates on the new animated series Transformers: Cyberverse, currently airing on Hasbro and Cartoon Network channels - and a warning that most of the clips below will probably be unavailable to viewers outside of the US, due to region locks - as the fifth episode in the series 'Whiteout' is now currently online, and watchable on the official Hasbro YouTube channel!

In Episode 5 of ‘Transformers Cyberverse,’ a mysterious clue from Bumblebee’s memory leads Windblade on a treacherous journey to the snowy Himalayas where The Ark crashed.

Additionally, we also have previews for the upcoming episodes 6, 7, and 8 - respectively 'Megatron is my Hero', 'Cube', and 'Terminal Velocity' - courtesy of the Cartoon Network channel instead. Check them out if you can, and make sure to head into the comments section for an inevitably helpful alternate link you cannot.

Albeit, offscreen and unseen, with only the sounds of its beginning heard before cutting away to another scene right as it was about to happen, which is probably how they were able to get away with it.

Still, the fact they went that route of a direct quote saying "he ripped out my voicebox" on TV and then it actually being shown in some offscreen manner but still present in the show is something generally not seen.

We're just ignoring the fact that Shockwave has a bunch of mini-mes for minions? That's instantly my favorite thing about this incarnation. Also, I LOVE the speakers on Soundwave's shoulders. And finally, was Bumblebee friends with everyone on Cybertron before the war? Because it seems like everybody knows him and likes hanging out with him.

Ok now after watching the episode...
- the chase scene gave me Beast Machines vibes (in a good way)
- I wish the episode was able to explore the Cybertronian government before Megatron a bit more
- the scene where Megatron does you know what was chilling

Overall, this is now my favorite episode so far!

I'm already getting tired of seeing the Decepticons doing the following in EVERY scene:

1) One and/or a gang of them land and clench their fists, gritting their teeth and looking threatening.

2) They brandish GUNS. LOTS of guns. Guns mounted on every arm and wrist module. Guns atop guns atop guns atop guns, popping out all over them.

3) Then they totally IGNORE all their guns and run forward to try and PUNCH the Autobots.

Come on you writers - what the bleep? I mean - what the bleepity-bleepity-bleep-bleep-BLEEP???

While I wasn't too impressed by this series at first (I went out of my way to finish up RID first because I incorrectly thought Cyberverse was a direct sequel, so confusion was a part of it), it just keeps getting better and better. The 11 minute format is problematic for telling stories that are neither too serialized nor self-contained, but the 'Bumblebee's mind-blowers' structure was actually a stroke of genius for adapting to the truncated format. Maybe they learned from the mistakes of Machinima?

And THIS episode was simply MARVELous! They actually homaged State Games! (Well, and IDW, but Megatron's rise to power there was also an homage to it) Bee regaining his earliest memories of Megs as his hero, then the memory of his hero ripping his voice box out several years later, all within 10 minutes, could not have been a better use of the available time for establishing who his enemies are, and why. (And it nicely homaged Orion Pax's character arc in War Dawn to boot!)

The only flaw, IMO, was that it still wasn't clear exactly what the war Megatron started was about, or what the Autobots initially thought he was going to do to make Cybertron a better place instead. Eliminating opposition before building a Decepticon army large enough to make a galactic empire is easy enough to understand, and they couldn't cram everything into one ep, so hopefully we'll get more details before too long.

And since using the allspark to crank out an unnatural amount of 'Cons carries shades of the G2 Cybertronian Empire's spawning process, again, things are looking marvelous all over. The only way this show could make me happier is if Jhiaxus actually showed up!

Now if the toyline could only give me a definitive scale for molds I'd want to collect all the male and female seekers in...

Ive been watching this series as the episodes drop and I feel it'd be a lot better if they spaced some things out more. This episode should have a been a two-parter, with the rise and fall of Megatron being better explained. The cliffhanger could have been bumblebee saying "Megatron is my Hero!" and then part two could have ended with the revelation that Megatron tore out his voicebox. Instead, it's all smashed into such a short timeframe that it isnt given enough time to set in. It just feels like Megatron decided to be bad out of nowhere and that suddenly a war was just happening with no buildup.

It really does feel like this show is a sort of "Take 2" on the lore that the previous brand team crafted for the Binder of Revelation, as a lot of the story elements that we've seen so far in this show (Bumblebee's damaged voice dealt by Megatron, the AllSpark being launched into space to keep it the out of Megatron's reach, the Ark being launched specifically to pursue the AllSpark, Megatron having been a gladiator who befriended Optimus and called for a political revolution before he and Optimus had a falling out and took opposing sides against each other, Optimus having once been a "file clerk", Shockwave being an eccentric yet creepy mad scientist, etc.) feel like they were lifted wholesale from the Aligned media (the novels, the Prime cartoon, the FOC game, and more).
