Also, add Red Leader to the credits. He's the guy that owns kapow, and I do believe he's a member of our very own site right here.

I think Red Leader's user details got lost in the wipe, he signed up August/Sept and the wipe went back further, Jun/July time.
Creds to all of you though!

Joy.
Hasbro is not reissuing these figures. This is TakaraTomy reissuing them. As far as we know, Hasbro doesn't have the rights to the name, though they could opt to add the 'Autobot' to the from of the name to get around the copyright. Most likely Hasbro won't reissue Trailbreaker given the Reissue line has been dead the past few years.

The poor Encore 'cons are getting very outnumbered though.

ANY Headmaster.
Targetmaster Blurr.
Blitzwing.
Insecticons.
Decepticon/Autobot cassettes .
Oh well.

Trailbreaker was strangely my favorite Autobot growing up, yet I've never got around to doling out the cash for an original since I started collecting. Now my wallet can get a break :3
Now all we need is a Universe Trailbreaker and I'll be all set.

DMSL wrote:I already have the Hasbro re-issue of Hoist, but i will be getting Trailbreaker. Here's hoping they touch up his face so it's more accurate.
Ditto. I got an original a few months back but he's kinda decrepted. Definately want a new one.

If they'd only release Shockwave and Devastator I'd finish the Decepticons as well.

There's still so many great guys to be Encored... wish Takara would crank'em out alittle faster, my wallet be damned.

We've been waiting so long for them to be announced I wondered if they were going to continue the line.
There are others I would like to have seen released ahead of them but I'm still happy

Simply awesome news.
Agreed. Its probably more than about time to reissue Trailbreaker.
Hoist was a TRU reissue, was he released as part of the TFC series also?
Posted by Sid Burn on October 10th, 2008 @ 9:43pm CDT
I will have to see if there is any real difference between my TRU reissue hoist and the Encore hoist before layout out money for #14

I smiled when I read that. Trailbreaker was my first ever TF. I still have him, but he's seen better days. It'll be nice to have a display worthy one. I have an original Hoist too as well as the Hasbro reissue so I'll pass on him. I actually thought Trypticon was going to be one of these when I first saw the thread, but TB will be alot easier on the ol' wallet.

I was kinda hoping they'd do a Universe version of them instead.
Anyway, i will have a good time looking at these in the toy shops. Maybe make the trips more often.
(I'm not gonna buy Encore anymore. Classics will take its place.)

Trailbreaker is okay, but I find Hoist fail.

Ultra Prime wrote:Well, I'm excited to get a Trailbreaker reissue. It doesn't help me complete the 84' Autobot cars line-up but it does put me a step closer. Hopefully these are individual releases and not a two pack because I already have the TRU Hoist reissue.
If they are numbered separately (ie - 13&14) then they should be individual releases as the Thundercracker & Skywarp two pack was listed just as Encore 11.

Next on my list, TaTo would be G1 Skorponok. For the same reason, I have not gone after a fully complete version vintage version. Plus, I have Black Zarak, so that can help with the patience a bit.
Make it so.

I totally know what you mean. After passing on the original at a store in 1985, I have regretted that ever since. I since bought a vintage G1 Trailbreaker but he just wasn't minty enough for my liking.

If only I somehow could have known it would be worth hundreds, if not thousands MISB in 08'!
Stupid parents..always letting me open my toys and break them.

Ain't that the whole truth? The eHobby reissue is ex-pen-sive.
