DAT SOUNDWAVE'S VOICE
DAT ENDING
Wonder if Bumblebee will get his voice back in this game.

This game seems to flow MUCH more fluidly then the last game did. Also loving all the canonical characters making cameos right off in the begining level. I hope I can play as Soundwave at sometime in the campaign...Did I mention I really want this game?

Its like a more Hardcore G1!!! (Shut up. Don't say that this is a Prime Prequel.)
I want to preorder this thing so badly.

Doubtful, since his official game bio refers to him pressing on despite having lost his voice.orangeitis wrote:Wonder if Bumblebee will get his voice back in this game.
It's not. It's a WFC sequel. Prime just happens to take place much later.#Sideways# wrote:Its like a more Hardcore G1!!! (Shut up. Don't say that this is a Prime Prequel.)
Though, Matt Tieger did confirm a connection, with saying that Optimus' gun in this game is meant to become the gun he wields in the cartoon. Not to menion Cliffjumper's head and the overall design of the Nemesis.

I cannot describe it in words.
Two months? I'm sorry, but I cant wait that long...

Of course it's not a Prime prequal. Don't be silly.#Sideways# wrote:Shut up. Don't say that this is a Prime Prequel.
Bumblebee looses his voice in an entirely different way. In Exodus, he loses it against Megatron at Tyger Pax. In FoC, as seen in the clip, he loses it on the Arc.
Pressing on after the game is over, or till it's over?Sabrblade wrote:Doubtful, since his official game bio refers to him pressing on despite having lost his voice.orangeitis wrote:Wonder if Bumblebee will get his voice back in this game.

Since he was still able to speak a few things at certain points after the Tygar Pax incident, there's a little wiggle room to have this point be the moment at which his voice was gone for good.orangeitis wrote:Of course it's not a Prime prequal. I thought Ratchet said something like his voice box was "still" out or something. Meaning he lost it prior to that.
Loved that clip. Man they have such a cinematic flair. Better graphics, gripping action and a boss soundtrack. I am stoked to play this now

Thank you so much for letting High Moon Studios take reign over the production of Transformer games over the past few years. Many a wallet you have taken. May it stay that way for a long time!

Hasbro originally was going to retire the Dinobots for good, if it wasn't for the perseverance of Mr. Tieger and High Moon Studios. The way we're getting Bumblebee, they should retire HIM and let us have boocoodles of other characters instead of an army of kid-appeal characters (no offense Cheetor, RID Side Burn, Armada Hot Shot, Cybertron Jolt, etc.). We're getting way too much Bumblebee than the doctor ordered in my perspective.

That said, though, his new double barreled rotary cannons are pretty bitchin', and the upgraded gameplay mechanics look to be quite the improvements in the user friendly department. Looking forward to playing this one.

There's not any "wiggle room" for how Starscream meets Megatron in Exodus/WFC though.Sabrblade wrote:Since he was still able to speak a few things at certain points after the Tygar Pax incident, there's a little wiggle room to have this point be the moment at which his voice was gone for good.orangeitis wrote:Of course it's not a Prime prequal. I'm not happy that Bumblebee's gone mute again. The fact we haven't had confirmation of a FoC figure for him yet and the rather ominous first trailer makes me wonder if 'Bee will be spending a lot of this game on the bench.
The voice work doesn't convince me. The actors have done a great job but the sound guys have just copied 'n' pasted them into the game. There's no sense of atmosphere or spacial positioning apart from that moment when Bumblebee's been knocked on his ass.
The way I view any continuity issues is the novels are the novels; the games are the games; the PRIME animation is the PRIME animation. They're all telling the same story (with PRIME many millennia ahead) but they're in alternate realities where minor event has played out differently.
But then that doesn't explain 'Bee's lack of voice.

That would instantly solve any continuity issue. Except, you know, when Exodus contradicts even itself...Sodan-1 wrote:The way I view any continuity issues is the novels are the novels; the games are the games; the PRIME animation is the PRIME animation. Ask Michael Bay that, IJS.Sodan-1 wrote:But then that doesn't explain 'Bee's lack of voice.

Do you mean the shoulder swapping? Yeah, big woop.

I'd imagine Bruticus is able to do that too. Considering that it's confirmed that his toy can, that's not too far fetched.Sodan-1 wrote:Samsonator wrote:...the upgraded gameplay mechanics look to be quite the improvements in the user friendly department.

Shoulder Swapping, Interactive cutscens, Sprinting, stealth action, and different gameplay for each character.
Yeas, it IS a big whoop.

the best part of WFC for me, was getting together on XBox Live with a couple of mates and running through the whole thing as my favourite characters. Since that's been taken from me, I'm really hoping the MP is a whole lot of fun, and that the single player story is good.

If you've played Escelation a lot you know the shoulder swapping is a BIG deal. It doesn't have a cover system but any non-noob players do use cover. It's actually a better cover system because your character isn't "stuck" to an object. You can easily jump over, dash away or transform out of the position.
The sprinting looks cool, stealth also. But which buttons are going to do the sprinting and the swapping? On the ps3 controller all buttons are used clean and efficient.
Graphics+ is nice to see.
For the sound, this is the Bumblebee that I like the most out of all versions. He's very funny in Escelation so I'm a bit sad they mute him.
This is going to be awesome!

My bad. I didn't know you already posted that. But 'till today, I thought the mission was was only attempt #1 to leave Cybertron 'till I heard this news

After the first mission, the story likely flashes back to right where WFC left off. The rest of this game should lead right back up to after the Ark launch, with the two ships entering the space bridge.Stormrider wrote:So how does this first mission fit into the storyline? I would think the Ark would be at the end of the story.
