My Blitzwing sadly doesn't have locking tabs in the shoulders (even tried the fix from Ps video) but it really doesn't hinder anything. I would even say I like him more then Springer, and I effn love this Springer!

I hit two Targets and a Wal Mart this morn with no luck... I am chomping at the bit to nab a Springer...

Sad to say, I regret paying the retail of 22.99 for Blitzwing. He is nowhere near worthit. Horrible all around. Hasbro needs to quit using that soft rubber bullshit. My nosecone won't even stay tabbed. Springer is going to a buddy of mine....
I shouldve went with my gut and left them on the shelf

It's the same number for all the Generations voyagers. Individual figures don't get unique numbers.

I will hit them up again Monday after I drop my kiddo off at school...I want that Springer... Blitzwing? Ehhh, I could take him or leave him...afterall the QC issues I read about I doubt I will get him. I never liked the G1 version, totally passed on the Animated version.
I would've like to seen Astrotrain as a Voyager...Passed on the deluxe Generations years ago. Although, if you went by the G1 cartoon you'd need a Titan class for all the Cons to cruise around in him lol

It's down in Olympia though and I'll be damned if I'm going to drive my 6 cylinder beast 80 miles one-way just to gamble on the figures being in stock by the time I get down there. There's close to 2 dozen Targets between here and Olympia and more if I want to start heading north towards the border so I'll try my luck closer to home. Those are darn nice looking figures and two that are on my "Must Have" list so I'm thinking tomorrow might be a good day to toss the kids in the car and do some local scouting around.
Call first. Give them the DPCI to see if they even have any Voyager Class figures in stock. If they do, have them direct you to toys. Once connected, have the person look for Blitzwing and Springer. If they say they have them, tell them you're on your way from wherever, and it's going to take awhile. They will hold it at the customer service desk for you. I've done this countless times.

Is it possible that they can do that for at least 24 hours? I'm about to call my local Target and ask if they have them in stock, but I can't stop by today, but I can probably stop by tomorrow.

All I can say is ask. I know they'll do it for a couple of hours, but I don't know if they'll do it overnight. EDIT: Call closer to closing time and see if they have it. Tell them you won't be able to make it in until tomorrow and see if they can hold it until tomorrow afternoon. They might just say yes. (I mean, since it's going to the CSD overnight when the store isn't open, I can't imagine it's that much trouble for them.)
If that doesn't work, call about 10:00 AM. They open at 8:00 but new stuff isn't stocked until about 10 or so.

Problem: After close examination I have concluded that my Blitzwing only has one face. Anyone else seen this?
Overall impressions:
Springer: Awesome design. The G1 sword always bugged me with its square cross-section. This sword on the other hand is really cool. Some of the pegs don't hold together really well in the vehicle modes, but overall it's great.
Blitzwing: Pretty good overall. The three faces were what pushed me over the edge and convinced me to buy, so I'm disappointed that wasn't there. The instructions are unclear and inconsistent. In particular, there's the issue of how the arms go in plane mode. Initially, it shows them curving down like in the photos, but the pegs don't fit. In later steps they're shown curving towards each other like in the tank mode.
With Masterpiece Thundercracker, the face-changing thing was also missing, but that was understandable because they made the head bigger to match the cartoon proportions, so the face-changing mechanism was replaced by a head-squishing mechanism so it could still be stowed in jet mode. I just wish someone had thought to update the instructions.
I don't know what happened with Blitzwing, though. The box and instructions advertise 3 faces, but they're not there.

Have you tried flipping the faces up instead of the sides?

Mindmaster wrote:Have you tried flipping the faces up instead of the sides?
Well yeah. I saw a video review that showed how it's done (the instructions are kind of vague). I even discovered that I can open the side panel on the head a little bit, and what I saw convinced me it was a non-changing face.

While his tank mode does not beat Animated's sweet look, the jet mode is really cool
Superglue trick?

Yeah. I put a little superglue around the shoulder tabs and it created a little more friction when slotted in to those small slots. It made the shoulders stay in a tad bit better. It's not perfect, but it's something quick that can help if the glue dries right.

The more dangerous variant of the Clear Nail Polish routine.

I returned it to Target today. They didn't have another one to do an exchange, but given the famous shoulder issues Blitzwing has, I wasn't that sad. Plus I still have my Springer, which again is awesome.

The face-changing gimmick is kinda uneccessary and obnoxious anyway.
Going to Target myself today to see if any of these are in stock, but my main objective is to pick up Eject and Ramhorn if they're still there from when I picked up Rewind and Sundor yesterday.

I actually had the opposite reaction. I wasn't going to get Blitzwing, but the faces thing was the tipping point.

There have been several Springers come out in recent years but none of them were Triple Changers, not anymore this latest version features all three unique modes: car, helicopter, and of robot. This incarnation of Springer is heavily influenced by his appearance in IDW's Transformers: Last Stand of the Wreckers as drawn by Nick Roche.
Our last Blitzwing figure was a Triple Changer, but came out in the highly stylized Transformers Animated line. This version will feel much more at home on a collector's neo-G1 shelf, but retains the Transformers Animated characters three face gimmick.

That's a season 2 episode, and Octane debuted in Season 3.
If it's from a comic, I honestly have no clue. Target 2006, Marvel UK issue #88?
