Regardless, this had better sell well enough that they release Victory.

Oh, awesome! Good to know. Did you do the art for the other 2 sets too?

Shout! has not formally announced this title yet, so we don't have any other details at this time such as bonus material (we assume there will be some), package art and so forth. Nor do we know what the plan is for SF to release the other "Transformers Takara" productions on DVD (for instance: "will there also be a big box set now along with Headmasters, or will it come later after Master Force and Victory are available separately?").
Take it with a grain of salt, guys. Nothing's official until Shout! says it is.

I want the takara sets cause we never had them released here in the States as of yet but Madman had several of the sets done.
Also the same for RID been about 10 to 11 years since RID has been aired on the Fox Box but it has never ever been released on DVD here in the states while the UK has has a couple of sets of RID.
I have given up all hope of Animated Season 3 being released or done and will file that under RID of transformers they will never see the light of day.
But I dont know which to get now Headmasters or Beast Wars as my Beast Wars is the original Rhino sets and I need them replaced.
As is my Original Generation 1 sets they are also original Rhino ones not the Shout Factory ones.

I just bought the allstar almanacks yesterday, now I don't qualify for free shipping

Guess I'll just have to get something else too

I hope they're subtitled, not dubbed. I like to hear the actual Japanese words being spoken. It sounds cooler to me that way, plus that's how it was originally. I don't want some cheesy dub.

For the U.S., yes. For elsewhere, no. Both the UK and Australia have had their share of releases of the Japanese G1 series.Autobot General Grimlock wrote:Okay for fear of sounding like I have been living under a rock for a while I have to ask, is this the first release of Jap series or has there been other that I missed, subbed or dubbed?
UK company Metrodome released one or two individual DVDs of The Headmasters with the awful Omni Productions Malaysian English dub, and then finally released boxed sets of the Japanese language w/ English subs version (The Headmasters DVD box set also included the awful English dub as a secondary track). Metrodome then released Masterforce and Victory with Japanese audio only (and English subs), and then later compiled all three sets together and added an English subtitled version of the single Zone episode (which never received an English dub, awful or otherwise).
Australian company Madman released very similar DVD boxed sets as those of the UK sets of all three series, and then compiled them together as well. However, while the UK sets only had the bad English Omni dub for all of The Headmasters, the Australian sets had it for all of The Headmasters, four episodes of Masterforce, and all of Victory.
However, both releases of all three series have had their share of flaws (especially both releases of The Headmasters) and so hopefully these Shout! Factory ones will be an improvement.
Also, fansubbing group TV-Nihon has fansubbed all of The Headmasters, Masterforce, and Victory as well Plus Super Link, Galaxy Force, RobotMasters, episodes 1-8 of Car Robots, and some miscellaneous things from the Japanese Animated dub (i.e. - openings, endings, promos, etc.).
It's doubtful that they'll get all the old voice actor to come back for this (as they're all so expensive), so if there's going to be an English dub track, it'll likely be the old terrible Omni Productions dub.Rated X wrote:Will it be real G1 voices ??? Or the same crappy voices like the internet versions where the voices have no swag ???
But let's just hope for some quality English subs, as most anime dubs usually cannot top the original.

Now I really can't wait to see what Masterforce's and Victory's DVD set's artwork will be like. And hopefully what a complete boxed set will look like.
