But as usual, I'll probably be in the top 30k. My interest is starting to wither.

The card art is as always spectacular.
Printed cards would be awesome.
Triple changers with two alt mode cards to trans scan also should be appearing as should combined combiners.

I agree with you there. When you can't get a significant card, or significant rewards without spending money, well, I get better things to spend, or not spend my money on.
This is so true, and I personaly hate it.

Combiners would be EPIC.
But your idea of printed cards is more solid. I miss the days of good art in card form. Back before everything became CG and card games. I would buy a set of good TF cards by the team behind this game!
But I'm pretty done with this TF mobile game, so I'm not going to see much of the new stuff. Like everyone said, the rewards are few unless you pay.
This game feels like gambling to me. I understand funding the developers and paying for their work... but at this point, I feel a $60 game would be the better bargain. This game simply requires too much money to be invested to get anywhere at all.
The few level 4 cards I got are pretty worthless without the corresponding alt mode or robot mode. And the level 3 cards they give away like cheap candy are pretty weak.

Since I started to play I pulled about 10 lv 4 cards from my gold medals. I've cashed in about 10k gold medals if not more. Once ur team is strong enuf to defeat the first 2 cards in an episode it's easy to stack up on cubes and battle cubes. If u don't like an episode play till u have to use more than 1 cube a battle than wait till the next episode. I can usually stack over 100 battle cubes b4 I have to use more than one to beat a card. U really only have to spend money if ur team is weak or u want an episode card.
Too much grinding if u dont pay to win. It takes HOURS of repetitive battles if u have lvl3 cards like me. Even more hours to get free lvl4 cards randomly. I find doing almost anything else much more rewarding.

I got most of my lv 4 cards for episodes and when I cash in my gold medals I get lv3 cards like its my job lol. I've already collected all lv 1 2 and 3 cards but lv 4 cards are hard to get but I did just pull a lv 4 jet fire but he's not that good of a card.

I've been going after it pretty hard, spending cubes like they are going out of style. This is the earliest I've ever gotten into the top 1000 in all of the episodes that I've participated in.
My cube total peaked at 580. So I've been throwing 1 and 2 cubes around like nobody's business, trying to get MVP on every boss I encounter. I feel a bit like Oprah: "You get a cube and you get a cube and you get a cube! Everyone gets a cube!"
We'll see what happens when the big Bee starts showing up. It would be nice to go out in a blaze of glory and beat my top finish, which was somewhere in top 400, I think. Good luck to all of you who are all in.

And I mean for the point rewards cards, not ones that people are paying for. Or maybe if there was a way to give me a chance to get rank rewards cards I'm missing via random draw. Like I've got robot Cosmos, but not space ship Cosmos. I'm not asking for a randomly drawn event Omega Supreme, just the other half to this one that I did "earn" in the event.
That being said, all I wanted in the Galvatron event was Gnaw, and I got him, and this time out all I want is bug mode for Barrage.

I'm only logging in to build cubes every now and then in hopes for a better game future. Until they add trading or somehow make a way to complete the cyberdex that isn't horribly expensive, I'm done playing.
Hope everyone else has fun, I'll check the forum every now and then.

The game may be financially crippling (and downright annoying when it comes to crashing 99.9999% of the time), but the artwork is, as always, phenomenal!

budmaloney wrote:Very cool graphic and I like the one sided helmet. He's not a 100% copy of Prime. I don't know though, I never liked the concept of Scourge/Nemesis Prime. I know it's to boost repaints, just as Magnus. But Magnus had the armor. With Nemesis I feel it's just another Dark Samus, or Dark Sonic, with no real purpose other than to be a threat.Nemesis I don't fully get why he's popular.
Everyone likes a good redeco, especially if it's one that represents an evil version of a character.

Hard to say, really. But, based on the fact that all the art (with the exception of Slipstream) is based on Generations toys, themselves mostly Generation One characters, it's safe to assume that Legends is something of a micro-continuity of Generation One.

I have been playing Legends for about a month or so now. I have finished all of the missions, gotten all cards from all the missions, and I have a full collection of MTM Rares(the 3s). I now have no reason to play the campaign outside an event besides leveling myself up.
The first event I played was the Megatron prize. Up until this last event I refused to spend money on it. The best points reward I ever got without spending money was a character card and a weapon card. I usually end up just under the 5000 mark on the leaderboards this way, and in earlier events I think the rewards came at lower tiers.
This week I decided to spend some money to see how much it helped. I spend $30 or so on Battle Cube recharges and the event Space Bridge. I ended up with all 3 Airalbots, 1 of them Transcanned and 2 out of the 3 weapons, increasing my deck strength from about 8000 to 11000. I did much better against bosses solo in the first few days, and against bosses in general. And even with all that, I fell short of the rank I normally get without spending money! I have maybe 6 or so Super Rares (4s) with no weapon or Alt mode, rendering them mostly useless, even at max level. I pull a super rare out of the Space Bridge once every MAYBE 400 cards, and the events are they only way to get a lot of Space Bridge draws.
My point here is to give others a heads up. The guy who won this last event got 170 Million points. I think I capped out around 1.5Mil, and ended up in 6000th place. To do well in this game and get worthwhile prizes (At least a card, alt mode and weapon) you have to spend ALOT of money. If you consider I spent $30 and got 1.5Mil, that means the #1 guy must have spent almost $1000 easy!
This has been my experience with the game, and while I apologize if it is lengthy, I hope it helps for people who are considering starting to spend some money on the game.

Finally! I thought I was the only one.
For a while, mine only crashed every so often. Ever since the last update, I've also crashed in the boss battles, the missions, and, as you mentioned, the space bridge.

TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS will introduce the first Campaign in-game episode called Covert Operations and Evolution Cards beginning today, Wednesday, July 31. Please see details on the latest episode’s storyline and details on the Evolution Cards below.
Who:
DeNA and HASBRO are excited to bring Covert Operations and Evolution Cards and the new episode type Campaign to the popular card battle mobile game TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS.
When:
The TRANSFORMERS: LEGENDS Covert Operations campaign episode is available to play beginning today, July 31 through Tuesday, August 6.
What:
Autobot operations have seen a series of setbacks lately. Each incident in itself may seem harmless, but the Autobots Blaster and Prowl have seen a pattern emerging where every major Autobot operation is slowly hampered and brought to a slowdown. Too delicate for a regular Decepticon ploy, this Decepticon operation is all about stealth, infiltration and hit and run attacks. In a response the Autobots send their best operatives that are the perfect fit to counter this new threat…
New Features:
Evolution Cards – You can now get a new type of cards: Evolution Cards. By merging evolution cards together you create a new card. This new card is more powerful, has new art and inherits a portion of the stats of the previous cards. The card can be evolved 3 times and every max levelled card used gets the 10% stat bonus. Fully evolved cards not only get a special battle bonus, they also play short animations in which you can see them transforming from their alt mode into robot mode!
Campaign Episodes – In the new Campaign Episode you must bring you strongest deck of cards and fight you way through increasingly difficult waves of enemies and bosses!
There are 3 Episode Campaigns; Easy, Medium and Hard. Each Campaign consists of a series of battlefields and missions, each of which becomes tougher while you progress through the campaign. The tougher the enemies, the more points and rewards you earn. Defeated enemy cards can be captured using Energon Nets and Energon Chains. Use these captured cards to improve your deck, level up your cards and complete your Cyberdex. Capturing cards also grant you more points and give extra rewards!
Each Campaign has an unique boss that is an Evolution Card. Clear the battlefields to reach these bosses and defeat them. Then you can capture the card and evolve the card up. On the Hard campaign the battlefields from 5 and up each feature the Evolution Card boss, and the higher the battlefield the higher the capture chance!

The description of the episode made promise of new evolution cards. Do you ever get them? I got one for free for joining the episode and then I got the same exact card after completing one of the tiers, I think. Not quite sure what the point of making the same exact card available in the episode was if they give it to you for free anyway. Has anybody played long enough to actually get to a point that the cards that you "net" are actually worth having? Is it just battling and netting 2s and 3s the whole time?
I am going back to being retired. My first impression of this new format is that it isn't worth trudging through the doldrums of the early tiers to get through to the later ones.

I may be the only one, but I'm still playing. Not a fan of the evolution cards, but they could be cool if they go in the right direction. Like I could see this being the way they brought about combiners.
