Good review guys I skipped past articulation waste of my time to see,.

Not fan of beast wars figures like to see Takara make megatron master piece figure

So Cheetor is pretty freaking awesome. Quality is on par with the bigger 3rd party companies, not the cheap laziness I've come to half expect from Takara. They really did an excellent job.

Just a little warning to be careful with him.

Baltmatrix screwed up the hip transformation

This was probably metioned but I just realized that the eye are NOT articulated. Instead, you have different pair of eyes to combine wit the different head expressions

So has anyone figured out how the beast mode's mid-back (where the robot elbows are) locks together, or is it not locking just A Thing for this figure?

As far as I can tell it doesn't lock. There's a little bit of wiggle at the joint used for transformation.

It doesnt lock. But I think thats wanted since it adds poseability in beast mode. Plus the standard pose has gravity bring it down so that it doesnt need locking.

Having played around with him for a while, turning him back into Cheetah mode is really awkward and fiddly.

I still can't get it to look right.

Robot mode is fantastic though. Seems he was meant to have extra hands at some point. His hands just pop off too easily otherwise.

Unproduced accessories for MP Cheetus found!

They're clip on versions of the long-range comm link that Rhinox made in Episode 3, "The Web". The smaller one is for Cheetor's robot mode arm, and the fatter one is for Cheetor's Beast Mode foreleg.

Shots of a Masterpiece Cheetor prototype have emerged online showing an accessory that was absent from his release. In the shots below, you will see a comm link that was originally made for the toy. It calls back to the long-range comm link that Rhinox made in Episode 3, "The Web". The smaller one is for Cheetor's robot mode arm, and the fatter one is for Cheetor's Beast Mode foreleg. new thats what that slot in his arm was for. optimus has a similar slot in his forearm, which im sure is for the scanner he had when megatron asked for a truce near the end of season 1. probably cancelled for similar reasons.

How confident are you that that is real? I really want to news it, but the non-authentic bug has bitten me and I am a bit bitter and hesitant right now. I know the figure came with a diecast Optimus Primal option in place of a coin, but I can't find a single peep about a coin anywhere else either

Would love to see the packaging that the coin came in! Any chance you can share pictures of that so we can news this?

The coin would come from Hasbro Asia though, no? Takra Tomy doesnt issue coins.

That is correct. All of the coins come from Hasbro Asia, not Takara Tomy.

Good news for those that missed it last time – MP 34 Cheetor is back up for pre-orders at Big Bad Toy Store, due in stock in April 2019. Which gives a release date at a similar time as the now delayed Beast Wars Megatron. Cheetor sold out quickly before, so this is an excellent opportunity to catch up with the Masterpiece Beast Wars line.

Specifically the hip twist is easily missed.

Yes, most people reported backwards feet at first (me too) but thats because many missed a crucial step in the transformation.

Lol thank you so much that’s why I love this community I’m so glad my first my beast wars wasn’t a mistake. Everything’s perfect just a heads up I don’t think his shoulders are different like shadow panther I think they’re the same as the initial run but everything is tight and locks in pretty good

Quick update has anyone noticed the black spots rub off after handling?? I’ve had him just a few weeks and I’m seeing spots disappear one after another one leaving the yellow underneath. I’m thinking maybe there should be a clear coat on top? I pre ordered mine from Amazon btw
