His G1 roots give us little reason to doubt that in down time he wouldn't be.
So to be honest, this may not be the way I'd tell the story, but I like the idea of SoundWave having nobler roots. Maybe even just using the Decepticons as an ends to some unknown means as is often hinted.

This is without a doubt the worst Mosaic ever. A rudimentery understanding of the Transformers you're writing about and drawing should be a requirement to do these. It's like these two Jokers had no idea who the 3 characters were or their connection. Which in the case of Soundwave is absolutely nothing.
Here's another nice tidbit for you. Soundwave was created before Optimus Prime left Earth in every form of the G1 fictions since G1. If this didn't have a Mosaic on it I'd swear it was a troll.
And I RRRRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEDDDDDDD!!!!!!!

I don't want to sound harsh or anything, but that's the single worst piece of shit ever commited to a visual medium.

Did it ever occur to you that they weren't trying to fit it into any particular canon? And exploring other fictional possibilities would make them trolls? Wow.

Then maybe you should have kept quiet. Nobody charges you a dime to read these. If it's not to your taste, then the "back" button on your browser can make everything right again-- without you having to shit all over someone who didn't do anything to offend you personally.
Nobody expects everyone to love every Mosaic produced, but there's no bloody reason to respond like an arsehole just because you didn't like it.

I think it's SW fixing Buzzsaw.
Interesting, but i found it a bit far of a stretch.

The art seems to be a hybrid of Pat Lee's "style" and something a 5 year old can do. Opus looks to much like a blue Prime with a lot of hip. The different colours of the dialouge is a good idea, but it gets in ther way of the panels, and with brighter colours than the panels themselves, attract more attention to thjemselves rather than the panels, which should be able to tell the story through the art.
The idea of Soundwave being Prime's brothers is shaky. Personal Canon it may be, but it's very unlikely, as there's no root or even a slight hint within the show to render it as a possible relationship.

i agree with this,
it was good to see soundwave caring for the 'minibots'
but consider the reverse, soundwave/opus is evil from the start and 'infiltrates' the autobots capturing and converting these minibots to cassettacons
i also think its totaly unnecessary for people to bash this piece so much, im sure constuctive criticism would be far more appreciated
that said opus is a stupid name

It's an interesting idea and tie in to how Soundwave takes care of the casseticons and his loyalty. The art is done well enough to convey the story.
At least they showed some effort and tried something, which is more than some of us have done.

Foallen wrote:I think you guys might be being harsh on this one... It's just a one-off type thing, it doesn't have to be cannon; it can just be some sort of what-if/alternative type thing.
If this was directed toward me, then, eh, maybe you're right. I'd say I'd be the last to shut someone's creativity down like this, but then again, I'm not always what I'd say. It was a cool idea, but I don't think I buy into the fact that they didn't recognize him.

At least somebody went to the effort of providing us with a FREE mosaic. It's not like you guys are out any money on it. At the point that you no longer had interest in the story you should have moved on instead of sticking it out just to crap all over someone else's effort. Way to represent our fandom A***oles! You guys really make me proud to be a TF fan. I hope none of you have procreated cause I know that at least I have raised my own kids to show more fairness and open-mindedness than a lot of you folks have displayed. I would hate to think that such derision is being handed down to another generation.
I'm not even going to answer this holier-than-thou response.

Yeah, you've sorta gone ahead and been worse than that which you're criticising. Way to prove a point. Or, actually, you know, way to not prove anything. If you, or anyone else, lacks the ability to handle honest opinions, then perhaps I should be the one hoping you haven't procreated, not the other way round. You can't put some creation out there and expect it to be venerated by everyone, espeically if it's hugely sub-par. That's how things like the Turner Prize come about, and that's the last direction the Transformers fandom needs to go. Especially since the G1 fandom is made up almost entirely of people over the age of 18, who should by this stage have developed some sense of standards, and some ability to take the occasional knock. So, please do get back under your bridge.

To those I offended I once again say, I'm sorry. I would also like to extend this challenge to those same people...Let's help keep each other in check. I need the help too, and above all else, especially my own thoughts and opinions, I would not wish to cheapen or discredit
Ryans sites by my words or deeds and I'm sure none of the rest of you would either.
...and no, I'm not getting "soft" in my old age and no matter what, I'm not going to "group hug". Just so we are all clear.

Oh, and note that it doesn't say Prime, Magnus and Soundwave ARE brothers. It says that if they were human, they would be considered brothers. Bit of a difference.
