I actually saw the 3 step Steel jaw at our TRU a few weeks ago and didn't realize it was news until it was front paged.
You ever have a doubt, take a pic and send it in. No one reported it so far.

A week late and $3 short; story of my life.
Cool find though. He actually caught me eye as looking pretty good.

This is usually a great indication that he would be hitting US shelves soon if not already. If you spot him, make sure to report him in your respective toy sightings threads.
Saw those guys in Toronto starting last week. I guess I give so few effs about these ugly things I failed to realize that it might be news.

I'll give it that, but that's the only thing that is good on that toy.

I can confirm he has hit the states as well. Saw him again at the TRU today. He is a pretty good looking 3 step changer to boot. They also restocked those gigantic 3 step Bees. Good grief that is one massive toy.

I knew I saw that somewhere. I couldn't find it on my phone. Anyways, I thought you were the first confirmed sighting on seibertron. hahaha
Now let's talk about them minicons. I feel an irrational need to own those.

Man me too! And I am dying to know what that secret figure looks like and how it works with the clear extra gear.
I have no clue why I am this excited for this. I like when a collect them all aspect is rewarding like this. I remember the podcast was talking about Hasbro adapting their build a figure model from the Marvel Legends line and this is kind of it in a small way.
And yeah, my sighting was the first at Canadian retail, probably wasn't necessary on second thought since so few care for these 3 steps that you'd imagine the amount of canadians caring would be even smaller.

I butchered your quote for a reason. Across the various threads I'm following; I have the hardest time reading what TF fans care about. It seems like such a split between love and hate with no in between.
I've said it before and I will say it again. If I find something fun and interesting, I will comment on it. If not, I ignore it. Why rain on someone else's parade?
I'm really enjoying the RID15 line. I didn't think so at first, but with each new figure I get, I like it more and more. They are fun, feel good in hand and have a real eye catching color scheme. I just picked up Bee when he was on sale at KMart and I'm really glad I did. Of course, now I've gotten myself in trouble and I want them all.

Here, let me help out:
Featuring single-step transformations, Mini-Cons transform into weapons (buzzsaws for the Autobots and torpedoes for the Decepticons), and can interact with larger figures. They include a number of clear-plastic accessories, packaged on the sprue, which can be pegged into various sockets on their bodies. Some of the figures' accessories can be combined with those from their wavemates to form an "energy animal": a big cat for Wave 1, and a shark for Wave 2.
There is no other info on this and it is driving me bonkers when it really shouldn't. I think it is super cool though.
Also, yes, it is hard to assess what fans want or like. I still dont know what the general opinion on Generations Whirl is since I hear so many different things. I think he is just ok but works surprisingly well as Shockwave.
Also, if we didnt have people raining on others' parade, these would be very quiet boards
I dont know much about this line yet since I am buying the takara versions only, because they are the same price as the Hasbro version now, and they come out a bit later than the Hasbro versions (and are part of another thread). I look forward to experiencing them, they remind me of the Galaxy Force line in terms of their blockyness and vehicle kibble integration.

I love the looks of the minicons and they are awesome in the show. To be honest, I am beginning to want that Warrior Drift. Originally all I wanted was Strongarm, Sideswipe and legion Fixit, but now that he's a regular, I kinda want that Drift and to get the 2 minicons too. Me Wants!

He is pretty neat. I would recommend him and he shouldn't be too hard to track down at retail. Pretty simple transformation, but fun and capable of some cool poses. His head reveal reminds me of PRID Vehicon.

I never intended on getting more than Sideswipe, then I liked Strongarm and Fixit as a legends is pretty sweet. I have several Bees, Primes and Grims so I was avoiding them since they didn't seem to be too interesting, but now that the show has progressed, I kinda want the whole Team Bee (including Drift and the Minis). They make a cool team and they appear to be one that is easily obtainable. The toys themselves looked cool; I was avoiding for sake of wanting only a few, but now I want the whole team!

My first foray into the new Robots In Disguise line, Strongarm!
I liked the previous incarnation of this line/series, that is the Prime cartoon and its mainline toys but the new cartoon doesn't catch me the way Prime did.
From all of the figures I have seen from this new RiD series only Warrior class Strongarm stands out, as a collector of the Classics/Generations, perhaps due to her similar aesthetics?
So with Classics in mind I picked up Strongarm looking to try and repurpose the figure at some point into my collection. I am hoping the head is on a handy ball joint so it can easily be removed or swapped?
Have any of you good folk done the same or considered it?
Does anyone have a photo of Warrior Strongarm alongside other Deluxe Classics/Generations figures?

Grims lack of sword bugs me too. Not so much on the green original, but a swordless G1 looking Grim is just wrong. I'm also toying with the idea of buying a second OG Yellow BB so I can do a tire switch with this new black repaint

Grimlock doesn't have a sword in the show he just uses his strength (since their not killing cons just capturing them)

At a Walmart in Omaha NE, I found all of wave 1 and 2 RID Legions in the clearance isle. They also had RID Titan (shampoo bottles). What I don't get is that these are current toys. The regular TF section was pretty bleak. A few Combiner Wars W1 Voyagers, A few W2 CW deluxes, 1 of each Leader Megs, 4 or 5 Warrior class RID and some 1 steps. A ton of AOE 1 steps, deluxes, and voyagers. But most of all, empty pegs!
Why are these legions on clearance? Why aren't the AOE toys on clearance? Was this a mistake? My mind is sufficiently boggled, and disappointed that I already bought all of these at full price.
If you're at Wally Town, might be worth a trip down the clearance isle. Who knows you might find Leader Ultra Magnus, or Devastator.

NuclearConvoy wrote:Well, this picture looks significantly less terrible than the last one. Still not as awesome as the app colour scheme made it seem to be, but I may get this. I'm now torn, because I have G1 Grimlock and the Animated Dinobots and that G1 colour palette, while classic, is not true to this character (unless he changes in the toon) and I'm trying to limit my purchases to characters not represented in my collection or that I am not satisfied with the toy I have of them. ...
Thoughts?
Wait for a heavy discount. If by then he sells out before, no worries you wont have an extra unecessary toy in your collection. If he doesnt, hurray you got him at a discount and thus you have more funds to buy figures that have a greater importance to your collection. That is how I handle my collection and it has never failed me.

While these are still in package images, the fact that these are not stock images gives us a better idea at the color the toys will have in hand, especially for Grimlock who's chest color was a point of contention so far.
Bronzy! Awww, and I was looking forward to some Marty McGrimlock time traveling antics.
Anyway, looking sharp there Grims. Hasbro is pulling my wallet in two directions and they need to stop

Okay, so it looks like the reason Black Bee's wheels are yellow is because they literally just switched which molds they poured the black and yellow plastics into. Since the black wheels were previously on the same sprue as Bee's other black parts, when you make those parts yellow, the wheels go with them.

Was going to say the same thing. I guess it's looking a little more bronze than usual, but I'd rather have this than cheap yellow chrome.
And that said, this is definitely the Robot Gojira I've been waiting for.
