Fellow Seibertronian Big Grim got Transformers Selects Armada Cyclonus from Kapow Toys, and has taken images to show us how different the colours are. You can check them all below. YoU'll also see some pictures from Strafe28066 who posted on TFW2005. Purple looks very different on images depending on the lighting so we wanted to add some more.

Looks neat! I'm pre-ordering this since I never got a chance for Kingdom.

I may need to get this one as I did have both the Universe and Henkei figures simply because of the image from the good old '86 movie.

But what are the people who have the original g1 and bought the Kingdom version supposed to do now? We thought just getting kingdom with our g1 would be enough to match the movie image of the two Cyclonus' in the "And his armada" scene. 2+1=3 figures NOT 2. This Selects one is the best out of the 3 and the colors match perfectly with the g1. Had I known this was going to come out, I WOULD NOT HAVE BOUGHT KINGDOM. If I get this (which I really want to because it's THE best looking and best packed accessories set) I'LL BE STUCK WITH AN ODDBALL OUT. WHAT DO WE DO? I really don't want the hastle of trying to sell my still sealed Kingdom Cyclonus on Ebay. I've never sold anything before and don't want to learn all the details on how to without getting burned by some buyer who might want to try to return it later for some dumb/weird reason and I'd have to figure out how much to sell it for to break even from buying at in store retail and not loose money in shipping or ebay fees or sales tax on ebay, and then worry about ebay sending me some kind of 1099 tax form next year to report the income and have extra work to file my dam taxes. What a hastle. Thanks.

The green one, no. But a purple one based on the G2 Hero figure was released in Legends:

... or was he based on G2 Archforce?

Anyway, technically that's Beast Wars Megatron as the head, but still counts

I feel sorry for you now, I guess it was a blessing in disguise that I missed out on kingdom Cyclonus. God bless you, hope you can figure something out. I believe there is a setting in Ebay for "no returns."

yes, when I first saw this, I realized there was a good reason Has-Tak made the TR Megatron. But why would we need the green camo Megatron from the TR mold if we can get it off the Earthrise instead?

I finally got around to open, play, and upgrade my Black Zarak with the DNA Designs upgrade kit.

Seriously, that kit is pretty much essential to have a "perfect" Black Zarak. However, because the kit is so massive, it's almost as expensive as Black Zarak himself. The overall package is well worth it.
Ironically, the DNA Designs kit wasn't enough so I added a 3D custom printed hubcaps for Black Rorrichi and a headmaster stats panel for Zarak. The overall results are perfection!

And those are the leftover pieces once the upgrades were done. I'll keep them in storage inside Zarack's box.

As you saw, I added the Centurion guy in the team to represent the base mode rada dishes and such. It works well! Then, a population of Micromasters.

BTW, that Grendizer picture is a digital color print from an artist at the Montreal Comiccon in 2018 or 2019. I also bought the his original black and white drawing. Then I framed them both in a custom frame. The total price was expensive as fok but well worth it!

It does work, it's an impressive display and shows why it was better waiting for BZ over normal scorpy.

The upgrades look great Karabat. I've just never been able to pull the trigger on any of the sets. I mean if something seamlessly adds to or makes something complete I get it, but to replace current parts by taking the toy apart is something I'm just not confident in doing. But I'm glad it worked for you.

Speaking of Grenadier, did you watch Golodorak which was popular in Canada back in the day? We got a watered down Version called "Grandizer" in the U.S., only 26 episodes. Discotek released Mazinger Z and Great Mazinger on DVD a while back. I hope they get Grenadier eventually, even though I have the whole series fansubbed.

Goldorak is my childhood. Saw them live on TV in the late 1970's early 1980's. But only as an adult and thanks to the internet that I was able to watch the full series. Dubbed in French of course! It's one of those rare anime that I prefer the dub for nostalgia.

Oh, and for the upgrades, changing the scorpion legs was easy but the bot legs were lots of work. If you only have Scorponok, you can skip the legs upgrades. But for Zarak, they are included in the box. You're not obliged to do them. The set is worth it for the guns and accessories alone that truly complete the bot like the original.

Discotek Media has released several of Go Nagai super robot series on DVD or SD on BRD. ( Most Mazinger stuff etc). Sadly still no Grendizer or original Getter Robo/G/Go. Quality fan subs exist, but nothing official in the west...yet.

That's a shame, though I guess they must think it'd diminishing returns the further away from Mazinger they go.

Nah, I'm sure its just a matter of time, they've released some pretty obscure stuff I'd never even heard of:

Google Astroganger or Acrobunch if you have spare time. Just two of dozens of great releases form Discotek.

I wish there was a manga publisher equivalent to what Discotek does. Seven Seas has published Go Nagai's Getter Robo series, but it looks like most of them are out of print. Their Devilman and Cutie Honey hardcovers are really nice, I don't know if it's licensing or another reason they haven't given his mech series the same attention.

Thanks to a heads up from Nemesis Primal, we have news that the next Transformers Generations Selects figure may have just been revealed to us. This news comes courtesy of Entertainment Earth, who is preparing for San Diego Comic Con and is teasing many of the exclusives for the convention. Among them is the transformers exclusive, who, while in a small and grainy look, appears to be the rumored blue Trailbreaker repaint AKA DK3, another member of the Diaclone repaint club. While we don't get a good look, it is enough of a tease to get our appetites up, and we imagine a full reveal will be happening very soon.

This figure will likely begin as a SDCC exclusive before ending up on other fan channels, as other SDCC Selects figure have in the past.

Check out the images below, and let us know what you think in the comments section below!

I have some saved up for a selects Cyclonus, but I've never used Hasbro Pulse. Do they have shipping for U.S.? I can't seem to find him on any website other than the not sure are trustworthy ones, and TF sites like TF Source. Where do you think I should get my Cyclonus? I don't even want to pay $3 of shipping because I'm a spoiled child.

If I remember correctly, if you want free shipping on Pulse as an American citizen you'll have to pay for a yearly membership. If not, you pay for shipping.

If you're Canadian, order a paperclip or a titan and it's 30$US for shipping either way.

Anyway, if you really want a thing, you'll pay for it with all the fees. If not, skip the thing and use your money for something else. It's that simple.

I though of that. If I skip, I'm picking up a Sweep to satisfy my figure lust and fill the Scourge spot.
The real question is: Is there another site or store I can get a Selects Cyclonus for without charging shipping?

Not without Prime or paying for Premium membership with Hasbro Pulse. Even TF Source has flat rate shipping now, if I recall. That or you have to spend 100 bucks.

Not without Prime or paying for Premium membership with Hasbro Pulse. Even TF Source has flat rate shipping now, if I recall. That or you have to spend 100 bucks.

:-( Than I'll have to get the old chug one. It's fine, I just wish it had two hands....Can I fix that somehow?

Better for what?

Because comparing a standard deluxe figure against a big voyager that is also a combiner torso is like comparing apples and tennis balls.

Good point. As a Cyclonus in general.

I'd say Universe, but he's tiny compared to now on the strength of him only ever having to be Cyclonus and not merge into Grand Guignol or WTF.

CW would be Galvatronus, UW would be Grand Galvatron.

Is there a way to give him a second hand? Cause that's almost a dealbreaker for me.

You mean on the deluxe, making for the left hand to be able to hold something, right?

Image

Simple. DRILL THE HOLE. Start with a very small hole in the center of the hand. Go in a second time with a slightly bigger drill. Then finish with the 11/64 drill.

If you want your "perfect" Transformers, you do the work.

Is just drilling a hole insane enough to work and not make it worse? If it is I have no issues!
