"2 Step Changers"? That's a misnomer, Optimus Prime has 4, according to the box. I think those are the "Knight Armor Turbo Changers", maybe even the Titan Changers

Transformers The Last Knight Turbo Changers Blind Bags are now available at Smyths. There will be 12 different figures in this set, each blind bag contains one figure that will convert in 1-3 steps. These mini figures should stand roughly 4cm tall. They are only available in store but if you wish to read about them you may do so on Smyth's website.

I have not heard anything, but I assume if they sell well there will be. I think the Kreo minifigs were a success so there might be a correlation here.

Ok so Megs was called Megatron in the first three movies and then he was called Galvatron in the fourth and now he's back to Megatron again. Is there a reason for this or is Micheal Bay that inconsistent. :-?

Technically Galvatron in Age of Extinction was not Megatron. He was engineered from the remains of Megatron, but was not supposed to be him.

Megatron's consciousness however re-emerged, and took over the new Galvatron body.

He was called Galvatron, because the humans that created him in the movie called him that. At the end of AOE Megatron's persona had completely returned and he was once again Megatron.

So there is an in story reason for why he was Galvatron, and is now again Megatron. Though how they will write away the Transformium from AOE, since he doesn't seem to be able to turn into a cloud of tiny cubes now, is yet to be seen. Or maybe I've missed that explanation somewhere.

We have some new info regarding the Transformers: The Last Knight toyline from TFW2005 regarding the case breakdown of each wave and the product SKUs. We also have some official images of one step Grimlock, Turbo Changer Megatron and the tiny Turbo Changers. All the product listings are still coe names but we will tell you who is in the wave for you to maybe piece it together. Let us know what you come up with.

All this info comes from the now taken down listings found on Southernhobby's website.

The case breakdown shows that no toy is shortpacked. All cases are evenly spread.

Transformers: The Last Knight Toyline Wave 1

Armor Up Turbo Changers* (SKU: HSBC0886AS00)

C1312AS00 TRA MV5 1 STEP FOUR MOONS x 2
C1313AS00 TRA MV5 1 STEP MARS x 2
C1314AS00 TRA MV5 1 STEP SUPERNOVA x 2

This includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Barricade, Hound

C1327AS00 TRA MV5 LEGION GAS GIANT x 2
C1328AS00 TRA MV5 LEGION LUNAR ECLIPSE x 2
C1329AS00 TRA MV5 LEGION MARS x 2

This includes Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Grimlock, Barricade

Voyager Class (SKU: HSBC0891AS00)

C1333AS00 TRA MV5 PRE VOYAGER LUNAR ECLIPSE x 1
C1334AS00 TRA MV5 PRE VOYAGER JUPITER x 1

This includes Optimus Prime and Grimlock

We also have these listings from Takara which show that in their line, deluxe Barricade has the Mars codename.

Image

It is unknown if the codenames for the Takara line line up with the Hasbro line and if the code name remains the same for the same character throughout all classes and toy lines. We know it is not the case with Optimus since he is both Four Moons and Jupiter (we assume). But if you assume that Mars for Takara is also Mars for Hasbro and that it is also Mars for the MPM line, then it could very well be that the MPM release we do not know about yet is Barricade. Let us know what you think.

He called himself "Galvatron" in the movie, though.

Well, we're never actually told how the humans came up with the name. Suppose that Megatron secretly fed them the name behind the scenes, without their knowing of his influence in crafting the name. After all, Joshua wanted to make Galvatron look like Optimus, but why would he give an Optimus lookalike a name that is vaguely reminiscent of Megatron? ;)

I'm just waiting for the voyager Optimus. I don't know about Megatron, we'll have to see how he is later on. This might be the first voyager Megatron/Galvatron I've skipped since the first film.

And I too am dissapointed in Galvatron going back to Megatron. As a Galvatron fanboy, I was expecting him to change bodies, but at least keep the name for this trilogy. Please let him still be voiced by Frank Welker though.

Economics, you're paying more for the packaging, especially since the Deluxe Class figures come in boxes too instead of on cards.

No, you can blame it on Hasbro and their endless quest for higher and higher profit margins- which means less product for more money.

Seriously, at this rate 3P stuff isn't just going to be better than HasTak, it'll be cheaper too.

Some early pictureless listings have appeared on Amazon Spain for new Transformers: The Last Knight toys that were previously unknown. So far, there has only been confirmation of 3 waves of Transformers: The Last Knight toys and one voyager was left to be revealed. People thought it could be Onslaught or another new character, but it is now confirmed to be a Voyager Bumblebee.

Also, there is a listing for a new Leader figure: Dragonstorm (which is called Leader Dragon in the listing). This is great news since so far we only had him as a giant One Step and a tiny Legion toy.

There are other new listings as well, all can be found below:

Transformers: The Last Knight Voyager Class Bumblebee
Transformers: The Last Knight Leader Class Dragonstorm
Transformers: The Last Knight 1-Step Turbo Changer Sqweeks
Transformers: The Last Knight Armor Up Turbo Changer Hound

Um are you looking at them the right way round? The voyager is great and the turbo charger is simplified and a bit out of proportion.

At least the dino arms on the turbo charger look more secure though i suppose.

Wait, Voyager Bumblebee?

Unless he's got a new non-car altmode, this could be the first time we've ever gotten a normal-looking non-truck/non-buggy car Transformer in the proper Voyager class of a regular multi-size class toyline (Alternators and MP are not normal lines, Human Alliance was a separate size class from Voyager, and Cybertron Crumplezone and Thirlling 30 Springer were sci-fi cars).

I kinda hope it isn't a car though not sure what else it could possibly be. For my tastes Deluxe is the right size for the cars since they scale well with the majority and since cars are so used so much in the entire franchise it's best they're in the easily affordable range. I did like the HA line but in the end I sold them all off cos I just found them too big and awkward to go with much else.

The Lost age (voaygerish size) Optimus (the one with a trailer) has a nicer looking truck mode than the new voyager does - I think the Takara one might be slightly (very slightly) better coloured too.

I'm not bothered by the prices as ARGOS often has "Half Price Sales" so the stupid prices won't catch out only the desperate.

They usually have a Half Price sale in November for example and possibly other times. so that would put a Voyager down to £17.50

I wouldn't be surprised if Smyths, Very and even TRU will be cheaper and The Entertainer flip flops from expensive to dirt cheap too.

But yes £23.00 for a reissued Bumblebee in a different shade of yellow that TRU couldn't hardly give away even when it came with a free Generations Bumblebee is sort of delusionally amusing.

Especially if these end up sharing shelves with other DISCOUNTED Transformers - I know i'd rather have an RID Blurr for £8.99 than a Reissued Slash (in baby blue) for £23.00 when I could buy a Titans Return Voyager for that and have several pounds change.

I do kinda like the new Hound though... which is odd as I never even bothered to buy the previous one at all.

To be fair, that was a massive shellformer. The entire front of the cab is a solid piece that just flipped over to be a giant solid backpack (reason I didn't get it). And I believe the legs are also fused together, though I may be wrong on that one.

So what, it has a garbage robot mode with crap articulation.

I mean if the robot mode doesnt count for anything and we are only looking at the truck mode, then this one has all the rest beat.

Anyways, RAR, can you please show me what the slight colour changes are between the hasbro and takara voyager First Edition Prime? Because no one has found any yet. If there is an actual change you can spot, show it to us and we can news it.

Grimlock doesn't like to talk about that, okay? He's sensitive about it.

:o)

Man, is it just me, or did has/tak really nail each version of megs (both voyager and leader) they both look equally great on their own merit, and I really wouldn't mind double-dipping (especially as all the other offerings look fairly paltry)

Na, that voyager looks less and less great. He's pretty much a robot under a jet, you can even see his feet right under his wings. It ends up having a similar transformation (for the legs) to Prime Megatron. Also, unlike the Leader, the weings fold up around his legs in robot mode so you also get some random wing parts there instead of a uniform robot mode. He's also more kibbly in robot mode than I would have thought, with those pieces of kibble dangling at his waist.

I think I will still get him but he is definitely losing some of that magic I first saw.
