Eyes (and camera) on the ground at SDCC, Boss-Bot Seibertron himself, has captured a full-length clip of the commercial being shown at San Diego Comic Con to advertise the new War for Cybertron: Siege toyline. We saw still images earlier on, but now the full thing is available for you to watch at your convenience!

The roughly 40-second video shows off the previously-revealed Optimus Prime, Sideswipe and Firedrive toys, as well as giving sneak peeks at other previously unseen figures. These include Hound and Ultra Magnus (as seen in the photos); a few Micromasters (confirming that they will be featured in the toyline, and that they can combine to form weapons); and "Deluxe Weaponizers", represented by what appears to be Fortress Maximus' partner drone Cog, which split into multiple weapons for other figures to wield. It's worth noting that the Micromasters and Cog were both observed as Amazon listings not long ago, along with Metroplex's Sixgun and a possible Leader Shockwave?

I think Six-Gun was indeed part of the same rumor that Cog originated from.

That has to be a new Leader Ultra Magnus. It looks too bulky & too big to be a Voyager. (I honestly only say this, as I would prefer a Leader, to compare with the Optimus also being released. Man, we love being picky!)

Overall, I can't even explain how excited I am about this line. Yeah, it may be more G1, but if the Mircomasters/Targetmasters/What they really are: Minicons, are any implication, we should be expecting this to truly be the best representation of the name Generations... Hopefully.

Now I need to pick up everything here... goodbye wallet, you shan't be missed honestly, I prefer the transformable robots.

So 'Weaponizer' are Deluxe which become weapons for others. Hmmm. I wonder if they're going to be a subline/sub-gimmick in the line itself. :-?

Wow...that early reveal certainly didn't do War for Cybertron: SIEGE any justice. This is a gimmick done VERY well. Weapon customization still promotes creative play and collectability without potentially "compromising" gimmicks like combiner pegs or Headmasters. The "blast" effects for muzzle flashes and the like are a nice touch.

The shame is that I'm still probably going to cherry pick this line instead of collect it in total like I have with Combiner Wars/Unite Warriors, Legends, Titans Return, and Power of the Primes. I do need a better Voyager G1 Optimus Prime, as I've said before, but I'm perfectly happy with the CW Ultra Magnus mold and the Universe 2008 Sideswipe and Hound molds. All of those "Battlemasters," Micromasters, and the "Deluxe Weaponmasters" will be mine, though, to round out the G1 ranks of my collection.

I'm hoping we get a few really nice reveals as the months go on, like Voyager Soundwave and Blaster, Voyager Starscream and co., Voyager Ironhide and Ratchet, Voyager Trailbreaker and Hoist...geez, I want quite a few Voyagers, don't I?

I'm starting to think that the name of this line is gonna end up being just "Transformers: Siege", with "War For Cybertron Trilogy" just being the umbrella term for the trilogy that will encompass Siege and its two successor lines, much line how "Prime Wars Trilogy" was the umbrella term for the trilogy made up of Transformers: Combiner Wars, Transformers: Titans Return, and Transformers: Power of the Primes.

And also like how "Unicron Trilogy" retroactively worked the same way for Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, and Transformers: Cybertron.

Ultra Magnus looks awesome, and so does Hound. I already have both bots in my collection, but if Ultra Magnus is good, I might just deal with that now :lol:

Hound looks great too, but if we get a Leader Shockwave, that means we can have a gun mode that fits in our hand perfectly like TR Sixshot. They just have to make his official mode an artillery cannon or something like that and with some rearranging of parts, voila, a gun. Yay! :DANCE:

Leader Shockwave should be able to wield his Combiner Wars Legends self as a gun. Anything else is just gravy.

Sold, so sold. Finally an epic voyager sized optimus prime.
Another Ultra Magnus, looks even better than the one that was already great enough.
Sideswipe looking G1 killer, a better hound (I presume, classics was already great besides the torso
being loose).

It's soooo awesome, the next Generations Trilogy. And I've been getting almost all since Combiner Wars which I freaking love. And all the follow up stuff.

I love the armor drones dudes who you can get. Love it all, here's a little hope for actual War For Cybertron / Fall of Cybertron cameo's. But no need, it's just pure magnificence anyway.

I need to collect my tongue now.

Wow this gimmick looks awesome, and the toy commercial as well as how blocky the toys look take me back to the old G1 commercials of the older days, it's a well done commercial for sure.

This is definately a line which suffered from a really underwhelming initial reveal, as I thought it would mostly be just 'Geewun Redux' with some targetmasters. Yet it seems this is a line focused on weapons and accessories too, which is really good.

But I do have a complain: show me some tank/heavy vehicle molds! Things which would look good bristling with heavy weaponry to make the NRA blush! SHOW ME THINGS TO PUT THE GUNS ON! :-D

Yeah I'm viewing these guys more as accessories rather then figures on their own, I did like Minicons back in the day (Although that was when I was a kid so that probably had part to do with it)

*sigh as usual I'm a bit miffed when one of my fave characters and toys that were recently done gets another new mould... in this case, Ultra Magnus. If he's as good as CW Magnus, It'll be a buy. Sideswipe looks very good too, and will probably get because he's even more G1-esque than the generations figures which are beginning to show their age.

The thing about the new figures I appreciate is that with the new engineering patterns introduced since the CW lines, the deluxe are less fiddly to transform and though there is a bit too much repetition, many are pretty ingenious and fun.

Hound's original generations figure was one of the best and the ravage he was packaged with was excellent. However, he was always a bit of a pain to transform in comparison. Hope this one makes it fun...

Prime is great and will fill a massive hole in my collection (TR power master prime is my main prime ATM)

Micromasters got me really excited though, hope to see some bases in the next chapter...

Seems like a good line - I do hope they double up all the Micromasters and make a set B for every theme though as only getting half of a Patrol would be annoying (I don't mind them selling them in 2's though).

I'm quite frankly shocked one of the robots seems to be based on Fortress Maximus' robotic companion Cog though.

I'm still exited for PotP mini pretenders. They scale perfectly with city bots and it give dollies to my G1 originals to play with.

Not kidding, I need (well-done) gimmicks, I was a bit bored by the first pics of Optimus and Sideswipe who looked a bit...plain..

But these micromasters and weaponizer looks fun. Can't wait to see more.

I was wondering about this as well, and then wondered if the white truck would be just the voyager prime in white or a different mold (perhaps smaller to accommodate more parts in the armour).

A crazy and completely off the way idea would be to have the armour pieces form another bot that can be sold separately so op can wear the armour as well ;-)

.

I mean they already have a potential exclusive redco in the bag with um, in the guise of delta magnus

Prime, Sideswipe and Six Gun will all be bought. I don't need Hound since the previous one is still great.

That UltraMagnus does look bigger than your average Voyager but too small to be another Leader.

But because I'm still comfortable with the Leader class I don't need this one regardless. But I still hope it's a Voyager to warrant the $30 price hike. And since it's rumored to only be 3 Leaders in this line it would mean they're someone else.

Notice how Hasbro so far isn't showing us the altmodes of any of the Deluxe-and-up figures? We know that Optimus's is weird and Sideswipe's is, well, not as ugly as Prime's but still atypical. Wonder what they've got to hide about the altmodes of Hound and Ultra Magnus, if the former in particular won't be an Earth jeep.

Think about it, we have the mini-Pretenders. The Pretender monsters will all be retools of the Prime Masters, and the inner bot is a combiner. Then the Seacons will be retools of them, and the combined form can wield any of the Seacon Targetmaster shells. Lol.

Haven't even chimed in on this new line yet. I think I was trying to avoid it, to be honest. :lol:

I'm at a point where I am just straight up running out of space (and a little bit of steam), and the thought of collecting new versions of characters I already have multiple versions of seemed to be a good place to trim some fat.

That being said, so far there are some aspects to this line that are just gonna club me over the head and drag me back into the collecting cave! :lol:

This focus on small weaponizing toys is AWESOME! "Target Masters", and Micro Masters? COOL!

I actually think the designs look really good. I agree with the sentiment that the alt modes could be a little more "Cybertronian", but I even think Prime with his weird search lights looks cool.

I want to know more about that Ultra Magnus, and I'm looking forward to seeing the fan vote figs of Impactor and Mirage. I guess I'm just gonna have to be real choosey with this line. Definitily gonna try to not take a "Gotta Catch 'em All" approach. 8-}

I try to get out, but they PULL ME BACK IN! :-(

As in years past, I hope as the SDCC goes on, they have some of the actual toys on display. As of now, this just seems like a bunch of random toys without any rhyme or reason. No symmetry or system that drawing me in. If it is true that there are some Fort Max components (that actually connect to or interact with TR Fort Max)...I may get those, but other than that, I really don't see anything appealing so far.

Also, while Piranacon was *technically* a Targetmaster, he was first and foremost, a combiner. I don't see any room for animal modes in this Cybertronian vehicle line, and if the listings on Australia's Amazon site are to be believed, then there is no indication of Seacons.

The original Dinoking/Monstructors tiny size in the original series is an error that needs to be corrected at some point, NOT duplicated. I'll wait for an eventual proper re-release, perhaps in the 2020 line for both of these.

I wouldn't say monstructor was an error, it was obviously meant to fit in as pretenders and the micromasters that was released around the same time (give or take a year).

To be honest, I'm really just kind of meh on what we've seen so far. Sideswipe is a definite buy, as is Cog. Prime is a pass for me (too many already that I like that this won't displace any of them). I want to see more of Hound and Ultra Magnus, but I already have figures of them that I'm happy with.

I know I'm definitely in the minority, but I really don't care that much for the target masters and minicons, at least going on what we've seen so far. The transformation and puzzle aspect of the toyline is what really draws me in, and the little guys just aren't complex enough to make me go all in on the line. I'll still cherry pick the ones that look good to me, but I'll actually be happy to not go all completionist on this line.

For me the reall loss with this line is the Legends figures. I find them quite enjoyable and they were about the lower end of complexity on what I want from a transformer. They were also my hope of getting Flywheels to go with Battletrap, which I guess could still happen in some form.

Oh well, my wallet and wife will be more happy with this line that I am so far.

Just did some research on it, turns out it’s Chromia. No images of the robot mode yet.

Well that's interesting since that was not on any previous list, so maybe there is hope. Now if its she's a combiner limb...I'm going to be majorly disappointed though.

Just found a robot mode pic. Doesn’t look like she combines, and.... I’m not a fan of her face.

As I said in my post above, I hope so, but they could have easily retooled her to remove the combiner aspect. I hope not...hopefully bot mode pics will reveal more.

At this point, I would prefer her to be a Combiner component.

Really liked the Idea of Elita and her feminista combiner team.

Until we see the back of Chromia, we can't say for certain she is NOT a combiner. The peg is on the back on Moonracer and Novastar.

She does apear to share all the same parts as Moonracer, just retooled with new detailing.
