Speaking of Chun-Li, that is the only toy I would have deduced was street fighter themed if these pics were presented to me without context. I would not have thought of that for the rest.

The listings show both sets as originally reported on our previous newspost here, including the same price of around 115 USD for the Bison (Vega in Japan, as we first pointed out) and Ryu set, and 76 USD for the Chun Li vs Ken set, but also include a whole lot more images, from the Titan Masters in both head and tiny robot mode, the various alt modes for all four figures, and some new added fight positions, including the Hadouken, Shoryuken, and Chun-Li's Hyakuretsu Kyaku and Spinning Bird Kick, and if you squint with your imagination, Bison's Psycho Crusher, too.

i think they are cool but Chun-Li's legs would look better all blue though

I will say, though, that Arcee as Chun-Li works AMAZINGLY well.

Ditto on the pass. The idea is cute, and Arcee looks like Chun Li, but there's something really creepy about transformers using flesh tones the way they're doing it here. Like, the human colored faces and hands, combined with Technicolor everything else using a robot aesthetic gives it all a really uncanny valley effect.

Also, I'm surprised that they're using "Hot Rod" instead of "Hot Rodimus" since they are keeping "Convoy" over "Optimus Prime".

I know it would be hard to make it work, but it would be cool if they added a head master to go with Chun Li, even if it can't be used on her, just so we could have a full set of them as well.
I'm ordering these if they end up on TF Source.
They went for Sale on TF Source, and I ordered them.

I'm wondering about making my own Chun Li Headmaster though. It would take a Headmaster RC Head, and then a new head for that one though...

Probably early commitments. Based on the last one, it was only like a day after they hit the min for building the Grand Maximus that the ended the "early order" period and not allowing any real extra time to hit the Requirement for the Pretender shell.

This two pack features Chun-Li, who transforms from robot to cybertron car (Arcee) and Ken, who converts from robot to a sports cat (Hot Rod). The way they were labelled as still being Convoy/Megatron/Hot Rod/Arcee...

... it looks like it's some kind of partnership, presumably through the Titanmaster partnership, however, using the Gen Arcee mold rather than TR Arcee messes up that notion.

M.Bison/Vega looks a lot like Megatron in jet mode. They at least look different in tank and robot modes but they both share the same color scheme. I would've went with Galvatron instead. You'd still have the boots and have the shoulder pads now too. Plus Galvatron in those colors would be amazing.
Ryu looks a lot like a cross between Octane and an unpainted Optimus Prime prototype. Again, somewhat similar in colors but at least different enough. If he had to be the voyager, maybe Broadside or Alpha Trion instead. He'd look too similar to Astrotrain or Megatron if those molds were used. Any deluxe would've worked except Getaway.
Ken looks too close to Hot Rod. Way too similar. Both are red with yellow spoilers. Blurr could've worked just as well. Maybe he could've been the voyager instead. Alpha Trion, Megatron, Broadside all could've worked maybe even Sentinel Prime. Maybe switch Ken and Ryu? With that deco, he might be different enough from Optimus to not be so bad. A white Hot Rod would've looked good too.
Chun-Li makes so much sense being Generations Arcee but as others have pointed out, it ruins the theme. Titans Return Arcee wouldn't work other than the face though. Does Takara even have access to the TR Arcee parts? You'd think yes but who knows for sure. Maybe TR Windblade could've worked. She has the puffy shoulder pads and the thunder thighs with a feminine torso and arms. Plus the faceplate could kinda work even if Arcee's would be better. A blue Windblade would be amazing as well.
I'll get them all anyway though as they do look good, especially Chun-Li. It's just a shame that they're TTMall exclusives since that makes them a little more expensive than I'd like.

When I read the title I was like "OMG GREATEST THING TO EVER HAPPEN IN MY LIFE".
Then I saw the pics and said "oh".
Now though, after some thought and additional (and much nicer pics) I've warmed up. I'm a huge fan of SF so I'm in, but my two biggest problems are:
-Would it have killed them to give these guys some new faces?
-The price.
I don't usually complain about price, but for what they are they seem kinda exorbitant. Ultimately what sold me was the pics of them in their signature fighting poses

It's the 25th anniversary of the SNES port tho, and 2018 is the 25th anniversary of Super Street Fighter II.

That said, I don't think it's meant to celebrate anything.

I could totally see them doing:
Sagat from Astro Train,
Zangief from Broadside
Guile from Hardhead
Dhalsim from Triggerhappy
E. Honda from TopSpin
Vega / Balrog from Mindwipe
Blanka from Wolfwire
Balrog / M.Bison from Galvatron maybe?
The New Challengers:
Fei-Long from Blurr
Cammy from Windblade
D.J. from Chromedome
T. Hawk from Blaster

Below we can see Ken from Takara Tomy Legends Hot Rod paired with Chun-Li from generations Arcee and M.Bison (Vega) from Titans Return Megatron with Ryu from Titans Return Optimus Prime. These are Takara Tomy Mall exclusives set to be released in May 2018 and are priced at 8640 Yen for the pair of deluxe toys and 12960 Yen for the pair of voyager toys.
There is a pre-order campaign goal as well. If 3000 are ordered through Takara Tomy Mall, the figure stands (seen below on the show floor) will be included with the sets.
The lighting is always tricky in these conventions so if you want another look at these figures, we posted their official images here. If you are interested, you can see where you can preorder these figures here, and check out the official announcement trailer below.

I'm cool with the crossover concept. It's a wacky, ultimately fun crossover. But damn... the size class choices are way off for Ryu & M Bison (Vega), they should be in Deluxe class. Big guys likes of Honda, Blanka & Zangrief should be Voyagers if they decide to do it. If they don't need to stick to TR, Honda can use the Bulkhead mold from TF:Prime. Blanka can use Generations Rhinox's mold? TF: Prime's FE Starscream is almost perfect for Dhalsim.
So much possibilities... just thinking which mold through the ages best fits for which SFII character can be a ton of fun.
Too bad this crossover line probably won't last more than a year this it's an anniversary celebration special. Thus, not much more than these 4 characters.

That's not what the campaign was. The campaign was that the first 3,000 orders would get the stand if they could reach it by 11/27.

The campaign ended on 11/26 when they reached the goal. All orders placed after that don't come with the stand as it now states on the order pages. "This product "Dedicated display stand" is not included."

I'd have to disagree on Blanka. Screw the size classes, at least in this case, I can't help but feel like Quillfire's mold would be PERFECT for Blanka.

Never saw Blanka as a large character from the way he was always huddled/scrunched up but I figure beast wars Retrax/powerhug could work for his cannon ball attack o.O

& if not fatimus prime for E Honda, alternators/binaltech skids or blaster would work. My wallet is hoping this line is limited to the four figures.

I'm sticking with Quillfire because he also has a hunched posture, plus a beastly head with pointy teeth, and the quills sticking out of his back give a similar effect to Blanka's hair.

Am I crazy, or would this basically be perfect?

It would if either toy looked like his animation model. Unfortunately, Quillfire is less than accurate to his onscreen model.
Warrior Class

One-Step

I also doubt they'd dip into RID molds for this line.

Yeah, that's the part that I'll admit actually kills this idea. (that and the unlikeliness of them making more of these things in the first place.) Non-g1 stuff does generally seem to be regarded as disposable filler by the current powers-that-be.
