Edit: Assuming they are using US date format.
I'm considering the Prime because I missed MP-10, but that gold has not grown on me enough yet.

Yeah, pretty sure it is US format, just to confuse my European self.
Fixed!

Absolutely correct on the original price and the refinement of the paint job does not bring it anywhere close to being worth more than $60.00 AT MOST in my opinion. Of course, I got my original version on clearance for $25.00 so my opinion may be a bit lopsided. I have to admit that this version does look way better (more G1 for those of us who are into that look) but the price they are asking is still obscene.
As for the gold apps on Optimus... ewwww.
(again, just my opinion. I know there are a few of you who may like it so by all means, have at it)

Magnus is cool, & so is Omega', but these two are really not, not to me they aren't.

...MP11 Starscream all the way.

It's Toys "R" Us; it's their specialty, raising the price on exclusive redecos.
jasonarnold wrote:Is the TRU version the same as the BBTS or TFsource pre-orders? BBTS has price at $159.
Yes, both Optimus and Starscream are the exact same thing BBTS and TFSource are offering.

I doubt TFsource will price match, they sourced their stock early from Asia, which is more costly for them hence their price. But you might as well try to cancel your preorder if you don't mind getting it at a later date.

Same. I'm at least getting him, since my local Toys "R" Us were dicks and never even stocked the original release once. Had plenty of Thundercrackers (which I unfortunately had to miss out as well), but no Optimus Primes.
I really like King Starscream here, but I already have the original Cybertron toy. Butchered, and crownless, but I already own it, so it's not quite a priority (THIS JUST IN: Mindmaster not making an upcoming Starscream toy a priority?! )

But Starscream?! Don't make me laugh. Oh, too late. That is so hideously overpriced it's pathetic. The original toy was pretty poor compared to others in the size class, and even more expensive now? I laugh once more.

They will not honor the lower price as most have suggested they sourced their stock early from overseas. Their response was that it was a mere coincidence that just hours after TRU and BBTS posted their pricing, a truck showed up with a bunch or primes for them to fill their pre-orders. What are the odds huh? "oh no, our competitors announced lower pricing, what do we do? Oh wait, is that a semi full of primes arriving early? Quick, let's process them"
I asked if TRU and BBTS did NOT post their price, would my order still have been processed, and they did not reply. I also asked them how many orders were cancelled before they were able to fill them and got no response, as who wouldn't for $50, just wait another month.
I still don't believe it. This prime better be the shi$$$ and show up in absolutely perfect packaging.

1. Trailer hitch is very secure and the pivot device is perfectly smooth.
2. Transformation is vastly improved, simply more elegant and intuitive.
3. Storage for the gun both in bot mode and in the trailer, as well as for the axe.
4. the poses I have gotten him in are limited mostly by the dip in the hips which doesn't appear to be that far due to the crotch piece molding… but this doesn't limit how heroic he can look. The posing is outstanding.
5. Matrix of Leadership is a gorgeous piece on it's own.
6. YOTH/Autobot symbol on the trailer back and on the shoulder of Prime looks great.
7. The red gems on the crotch piece. When I saw pictures and reviews I thought, "those should be yellow to really match Prime" but that wasn't true. A. that would clash with the Gold and B. the red simply looks badass. Emphasizes the bling look by making it look like he has gems embedded.
8. The darker red and blue of the figure helps to give prime a distinct look from MP Lambor and iGear Ironhide (weapons specialist).

Maybe if it was $60 or so. Prime, on the other hand, I wouldn't mind getting, but I would keep him in truck mode. I have MP-01, and the robot mode is much better looking.
Also, if Supreme Starscream ever got T-cracker and Skywarp repaints, would you get them?

So, if Starscream is around 50$ taxes included, I guess it would cost around 40/50$ of shipping. If it ever get at this price, please, some gentlemen middleman it to me. Please?

I picked up one of the year of the horse primes..meh I like so many others would have just like to have saw the 2012 MP10 come out again, I was lucky enough to get one but it was the only one I ever saw.
These year of the horse primes might make good bits for someone doing custom painting on optimus primes
