Amazingly enough, Cheetor is still available even to this day.
If you guys really dug the G1 combiners, I bet you guys were happy when Car Robots and RiD came out with Baldigus and Ruination.
Hey man, "Sparkbots" were from Kiss Players. "Sparkabots" were the G1 dudes.
It's the Energon Weapon that came with Signal Flare done up in yellow, right?
Yeah, what happened to Pyro? And Skice? They were (are) cool.
Yay! Return of "Ask the Twincast"! There're a lot of questions that have gone unawnswered (hint hint).
Great show, guys, this was another winner.

I just wanted to weigh in on the collecting G1 debate. I got into transformers during the Beast Wars era. I remember coming home from grade/middle school and running to my tv to catch the newest episode. For me, collecting the G1 figures is something I'd like to do and plan to do but I am just not able to. Right now, I'm old enough to appreciate G1 but I have little means to collect it. Right now I'm finishing up school and my collection is split between 3 houses. But once I get settled in I do plan on completing a G1 collection. That is, once I have a house and the means to do so. I feel it is essential for the brand to keep moving forward but it is just as important to remember it's roots.

Its fun to see the g1 toys to see what they did back them,to see what could work with and some of the first concepts of Transformers.

quickmixed wrote:Another great podcast. Great to hear some love for G1's. And your thoughts on The TFCC Ramjet fig were interesting. Maybe I missed it, but did you guys ask whether or not TFCC would produce more Ramjets? I missed out on one and am kicking myself for it.
They've only done that for the Punch/Counterpunch figure after people were furious over the weekend unannounced release.
They did it for BotCon 2007 when they under estimated production too.
I would not expect more Ramjets though.

Fortress Rodimus wrote:great episod guys. Congrats tigertracks on the baby they are a grat thing, but they do put a dampner on the spending at least for me but i have 4 of them under 5. Great to hear about g1. what do you guys think of buying ko g1 combinders? Is it cheeper if you want them to just get the figuers for setting up. one last note the sound fx is just a little loud compaired to the volume of the voices. i am so glad that you guys are bringing back ask the twincast. so cool.
We'll fix that sound FX thing next time around. When Jon was editing, he was really sick, so we're just grateful he was able to do it at all.
I recommend against KO combiners of the holiday variety. They're utter garbage. I've had ones that won't even support their own weight with out breaking.
As for the high quality KOs...I'd avoid them unless the set you want begins approaching what you consider to be unreasonable prices. Personally, I think all the G1 (non-Japanese) combiners can be had quite reasonably to this day.

Also here is a link to a podcast that i also listen: http://screwattack.com/blogs/SideScrollers
Not saying that you guys should chance your format or try to be like them, nothing like that.
Just though it would be interesing.
