That just reminds me of the (I think ) 1985 annual where we see the dinobots in comas and dreaming.
Grimlock is first. Prime's dead, the Autobots routed and yet Grimlock lies in wait and ambushes Megatron, cutting him in two! Lengthways. Starscream grabs the fusion cannon, gets close to Grimlock, feigning injury. Grimlock gets too close and Starscream cores him through the middle with a pointblank Fusion Cannon blast.
The old comics could be surprisingly brutal.

That Annual story is a solid gold classic. The folly of ambition illustrated to the Dinobots, just without real consequences. Helped them have more credibility as good guys despite being so violent.Big Grim wrote:Sunstar wrote:Nice! Starscream has the fusion cannon - I need that card in my collection.

Maybe if I sell a few of my remaining MTG oldies I'll get into this game.

I thought it was great and a little eerie that with each death it closed out with
Darkness and voices.
And you hear Prime and Ratchet talking about the Dinos. Loved that so much. Still have the annual too.
