To open, we interview special guest SEANxLONG, YouTube personality and creative mind behind Big Kids! Big News!, a celebration of all things toy.
Sean then joins your host Counterpunch and regular guests Seibertron, jON3.0, and Razorclaw0000 to discuss toys, toys, toys, and Dark of the Moon.
First, the crew discusses the brand-new forum changes, including our new Toy Review forum and Video forum!
Following that, we do what we do best: talk toys and discuss the immense Seibertron.com Galleries!
Razorclaw defends Voyager Sentinel Prime!
We then debate the merits of Voyager Fireburst Optimus Prime and his fragile axe.
Finally, we, in general, love Leader Ironhide and his knife.
Once done, everyone spends a few minutes teasing Razorclaw for not having the Target DOTM exclusives. (UPDATE: I found them the next day!)
We wrap up the toy talk with some thoughts on the somewhat weak offerings from SDCC as jON3.0 prepares for some expensive cosmetic surgery...
We wrap it all up with some follow up to our movie discussion from the last episode.
But that's not all!
We're featuring yet another Seibertron.com "Listen To Win" Contest. Somewhere in this episode is a keyword. When you hear it, go to the contest page for your chance to win a copy of the Shout!Factory Headmasters boxset!
Contest is only open to registered Seibertron.com members who have not won a Seibertron.com contest within the last 90 days.

Yeah, but you kind of cheated and got it all at once.
(Which is what I was going to do, but you beat me to it by a few months/few thousand dollars...)

Micron-wise, I need DVD Combusta, Falcia, Twirl, Freeboot, Bilge, Sunburn, Quench, Impulsor, Ito Yokado Crush, Hell Flame Graviton, White Hell Flame Team, and Dragoyell (I hates that guy).
I wouldn't mind an ML Starscream S (Thundercracker), ML Ironhide S, ML Hot Rod S and I'd be pretty done.
CP is missing Quench, Impulsor, Sunburn, and Twirl, as well as the Caliber Team, White Hell Flame Team, and Superlink Windcharger. EDIT: And Dragoyell (he hates that guy).

I could live without the White Hell Flame or Superlink Windcharger teams.
Dragoyell doesn't exist and I would very much like to have the others. The Linkage story is one of my favorite pieces of TF fiction.

That's OK guys ... I bet I have a version of Movie Optimus Prime that actually transforms that most of you don't have (and I'm not talking about Ultimate Optimus Prime which a lot of you will have soon)

Also, welcome Sean Long. Great reviews, BTW.
You were Megatron in that script reading?! Dude, my dad was one digit away from getting the winning ticket, and I was two digits away. You must have entered the room right in front us. Either way, that's awesome that you got to be Megs.
...
W-w-w-w-WHAT? Voltron Force is great! It's better than any and all of the previous Voltron cartoons.
Airachnid is AWESOME! I'm SO glad she wasn't named "Blackarachnia".
My Armada Optimus Prime trailer never autotransformed for me either.
What exactly is the origin of "Donkey Punch"?
Another great one, guys, but, man, these 2 & a half hour recording are killing me.

And yes, I have the Micron(s) actually named Prime.

In regards to IDW, I never looked it at the way you guys mentioned about the 6 issue story arcs being placed like that solely to sell TPB's. But now you have mentioned it I feel totally cheated!
But you cant argue the fact that the past few issues have been awesome. So it goes a little way to replacing the past 19 months we have all wasted. Not a long way.
But a little.

Razorclaw0000, Thanks for the shoutout! Hatchet is AWESOME! Thank you for the suggestion about the Cliffjumper upgrade kit. I really want that kit when I first saw it but the price kept me away.
SEANxLONG nice to meet you. I too am a hug person. I think I freaked a few people out at Botcon.
Counterpunch, you had to completely give up alcohol while training? When I first started my journey to my transformation the only alcohol I had was Pinot Noir red wine. It does have an acquired taste but the health benefits are well worth it!
Seibertron, Call of Hero? I love hearing about the technical upgrades to the website. Hearing you say such great things about the Kre-O Transformers is dangerous to my wallet. I thought they were neat at Botcon but decided they are not for me. Viewing your galleries and hearing you talk about how fun they are has really tempted me on getting a set. If you had to choose just one set which would you suggest?
Thanks again for the toy suggestions and warnings. I will keep away from Sonicron and since I just got paid I will go hunting for Leader Ironhide today afterwork.

Yea dude, I only have one speed with this kind of stuff: Brutal.
Calories cut a minimum of 25%, running 4-5 days a week, very little extras. Summer is weight loss time, Winter will be muscle building and strength training. Assuming I don't die or something in the mean time.

He looks really good. And the new eye paint is a shiny light blue. It almost looks like he has a gleam in his eyes as he barbecues a bunch of Decepticons.

Hmm ... tough one. Sideswipe and Starscream are probably my favorites. Haven't done robot mode Sentinel Prime yet or either mode for Ultimate Optimus Prime. As far as Kreons go, I think the Megatron set is a must because you get Megatron and Shockwave Kreons. Sideswipe is probably the one I'd recommend. Just wish they had given the Kre-o set a black head instead of red. Hopefully we get a Red Alert with a black head later down the road so that we can swap them if desired.

But not main characters, and the main characters that once turned into objects no longer do. I believe, if done right, it would be popular for both kids and collectors. I was a kid once, and object-formers were amongst my favorite Transformers toys because I felt like I could really identify with them rather than it being a miniature car or plane.

As a very avid comic collector back in the day who amassed around 1,500 comics between 1989 to 1996 (excluding my TF comics from 84 to 91), what comics would you recommend? I feel that all comics are horribly drawn out these days, are way over priced, and focus more on coming out with a packaged graphic novel than actually telling a story. Not every story is or should be a 6 issue mini-series. Some stories just need to be told in one book (which is why I guess I really liked the TF spotlight books).
If adapting Soundwave isn't difficult, then why hasn't he been given a proper update yet? I wouldn't consider his Animated or DOTM updates great updates, though I did like him as a giant satellite in ROTF. I will admit that he served one of his primary functions as espionage or a spy in DOTM very well, just thought his sole form as a car wasn't proper. But I also grew up with him as a cassette player. He's going to be a tough one to do properly.

I read mainly Marvel comics,i enjoy their stories.
Thor has a great story telling.
Hulk comics,are great.
X-men show really good care for it characters.
Wolverine stories are well written.
Spider-Man comics are awesome, and they get even better if know some events that occurred.
They also make some great single stories.

What about Cybertron Soundwave?

When I casually picked up the hobby again recently, I was surprised by the format change, too. It took me some time to adjust, but I realize it's not a bad thing. It's just different. You're not going to get arguments from me that comics are far too expensive, especially when I'm not seeing a huge difference in quality from what I was reading in the late 90s. The only non-TF books I'm buying at the moment are the Essentials black-and-white reprints, which give me the most bang for my buck.
Though, I do actively borrow trades from from friends, so I think I can suggest something worth reading (sorry if you've read these before )
- Planet Hulk - This one feels like one meaty story arc, versus something built for a trade. I recommend this one the most.
- Spider-man by J. Michael Straczynski (JMS) - As good as Stan Lee's original run. There are some six issues story arcs, but there are some individual one-issue stories as well.
- Green Lantern Rebirth, Green Lantern Vol. 1 - For someone like me who's not a big DC Universe fan, the Rebirth arc was confusing, but once I got past the first trade and into Vol. 1 etc. (#1-6, etc.), I discovered a dense story with a fun universe and great action.

My favorites from recent are:
(Marvel) The New Avengers #1-current
(DC) Red Robin #1-current
I read a whole lot more but as far as story and art go, these two have been my favorite. I agree with It is Him as well on Planet Hulk,World War Hulk. They were great stories and made the Hulk more than just a strong, retarded monster.
