The Seibertron.com Twincast / Podcast returns with another week of wild predictions and irresponsible statements. The dynamic duo ScottyP and Megatronus are back, trying to avoid dead air like the floor is lava!
Episode #252 “Ratcheting Expectations” is available directly and in our RSS Feed, and should appear on Apple Podcasts, Google Play, and Stitcher Radio within 24 to 48 hours of when you see this news post.
Here's what we discuss in this episode:
- It was the shot heard around the world: the rumors that '86 The Transformers: The Movie toys would be included in Studio Series. ScottyP and Megatronus countenance this strange and exciting news with trademark speculation.
- Movie Masterpiece Ratchet images are here, and they are: acceptable. In line with expectations. Meet the bar. An all around we-will-buy-it-to-complete-the-2007-lineup-duh. Hopefully they fix the colors.
- Netflix toys have been acquired with the latest Wal-Mart reset, and they rock - get Best Megatron before he's gone!
- Time for some listener questions. Our very own D-Max asks: "The alternity figures, how worth it is it to pursue them? do you guys have any? What are your overall thoughts on them?"
- He follows up with: "Have you ever had a time where you went to a friends, and either saw or bought a figure from them that led to a whole new rabbit hole that you went down and enjoyed?"
- We close out this episode as we often do, with a round of bragging rights.

“30 minutes for the whole thing with 5-10 minutes for most of it with 20 minutes of panel massaging.”
Killing me.

Does it count as a Counterpunch if, you had NetFlixatron in your hand, and even though you thought the deco was the most awesome ultimate version of the mold, decided to pass, but then listened to you guys talk about how rad he is, then went out the next day and got him anyway?
If so, consider me PUNCHED!!!

86 stuff in SS........ I'll just leave that
MPM Ratchet looks good! Hasbro did confirm that the mismatched colors were the result of that figure being a prototype, they will be matched for the final product.
I am certain the final 3 Movie 1 cons are coming. There is no doubt in my mind that they plan to finish the full movie 1 cast. Though who Frenzy comes with, Blackout, Bonecrusher, or Brawl is yet to be determined. Maybe blackout will get both of the smaller movie 1 cons.
Also need a 70's era car mode Bee, I feel he will fill out the ranks. RotF Sideswipe will also be coming with them I think.
I really don't know when they will get to the 3 Bee movie Earth cons. Maybe after they complete the first movie cons.
I think it'll take time to get MPM Lockdown, probably will come after at least a 2nd or 3rd MPM Megatron. But I look forward to his accessories!
Megatron and Jazz both had very good transformations! Last year was an incredible year for MPMs. Both were absolutely killer.
if I got combat Megs, and have TR vanilla Megs, is it worth it to get the Netflix one too? I'm still not sure I want to jump on that one.
Franks Red Hot is my favorite hot sauce!
Ari, I feel ya with the stickers, I have such a hard time with them, so much time spent making sure they are straight!
Scotty, I didn't even know you were on an Alternity kick, my question about them was fueled by mine getting 1, no stalking honest!
Thanks for the Alternity summary! I did not know about the GT guys, and now I want all 4 of them too, they look so cool! Safety prime feels a bit random, maybe a someday-er. But I'm glad to hear they on the whole sound good and fun. not sure I want to get all 16/20/21, but I wouldn't mind picking up some good flavors.
So question: Silver Megs is G1 Megs, black is Megatron X, and purple is Galvatron. what the heck does the blue Megs represent?
I agree, the seeker mold roof is so goofy, it's the 1 main thing I don't like about Skywarp. Maybe the other 3 molds will be better in the roof/backpack regard.
And now I am getting your black megatron. So I will have 5 Alternity figures here soon including the 4 base molds, just minus any GT remold. I feel like this might be a fun journey, kinda like how the Powermasters happened. They took almost 2 years, but they were a super fun journey. Maybe Alternity will be a nice little collection journey just like they were.
I still need Overlord though, but I am not thinking about that, way too much money to invest in him.
Good show guys!

My NetFlix figures should arrive next week. I ordered all of them at the same time so they should ship all at once, arriving Wednesday. Problem is I only ordered one Scrapface, but with everyone saying they ordered three and not seeing any in stores I ordered two off of AmiAmi where they're just over $20 each (depending on current exchange rates) and probably fairly cheap shipping. If I happen to find them at Walmart before they ship in November I'll just cancel them since that's a thing you can do on AmiAmi now. This also finally completes Siege for me (until NetFlix part 2 is revealed) since I finally found a cheap Nemesis Prime on eBay and got an extra $10 off thanks to the recent eBay app coupon.
I have one Alternity figure (technically), the GT Convoy with the race queen waifu. I didn't pay for it, it was given to me for a review, and I didn't really care for it, especially the stubby arms.
Gotta love Scotty's random Fate reference. Fun fact (well it's fun for me) of the 40 Fate figma released to date, I'm only missing 3: SP-004 Saber Lily, SP-009 Saber Extra, and 011 Rin Tohsaka. The first two got remade later so I could get them pretty cheap from Mandarake when I feel like it, but getting Rin for cheap isn't looking likely since they chose to remake her in her school uniform instead of her trademark red and black outfit. I skipped her because I bought the Revoltech version instead and regret not getting both pretty regularly. I also have 8 more Fate figma on pre-order for the rest of the year...

Out of curiosity, do you still have that figure?

I recently bought a cheap secondhand Feral Rex off ebay and it also shipped from an auto parts dealer, even came inside a box for some model of Honda's front/rear bumper. Methinks someone sells in their spare time and does that for a livingEmerje wrote:Thundertron on eBay (from a auto parts dealer, no idea why they were selling him)
Also, how many of those Fate Figmas are a Saber? Honest question, my limited perspective on it is that non-Sabers like Lancer, Astolfo, etc are released much less often.

Used to be a lot, but Fate seems to have moved to a few other "it" girls these days.
Really should just be what it is and go back to its H Game roots.
