Without further ado, the big news of the podcast is the reveal of new United figures. Hear what the crew has to say and which repaints we think you should pay attention to.
We also jump on (and beat up) the newly announced MP-11 Coronation Starscream.
Next, we discuss "Fall of Cybertron", give you some background on "War for Cybertron", and try to figure out where the upcoming Transformers MMO from Jagex fits.
Following that, we discuss the oddity that is CM Corp's Minerva, giving you some background on the character, as well.
We also go deep with the news out of last week's New York Comic Con, discussing Prime and the Movie toyline.
Finally, we discuss Blurrz's comprehensive coverage of the Third Party Scene at the Victoria's Ultimate Hobby and Toy Fair 2011.

Sixshot is really really really huge, I'm still stunned at how awesome it was to see it in person. Can't wait to pick up G2 Devastator. MakeToys Fallen is really stunning, it's just got that Cybertron/Galaxy Force blocky feel but it just has very nice aesthetics.
Apologies that I couldn't make it to talk about the convention, was really busy chasing girls around with school.

How were their paint apps? Good posability?

Any chance we could get an episode where you guys all get locked in a room with a Rabid Monkey with only your favorite transformer being utilized as a weapon? Basically turn it into a Battle Royale and the victor is the one whom emerges with the least amount of Rabbies infection. That would be epic and I'd love to listen to that episode..... Scratch that film that ish!! It could be a payperview exclusive.
My money would be on Jon for a multitude of reasons. One being that he would just Confuse the monkey with all his voices. Kind of like Timothy Treadwill did in Grizzly Man minus the eventual getting eaten part, but he did last a several years before he did.
Think about it....

Gojira101 wrote:@ Counterpunch - Dammit, well I'll have to give it to you that you sucked me into listening one more podcast but at least I learned my lesson. Kudos for that, but once again we got the same brand I should have expected. No actual tears were shed in the making of this Podcast, great disappointment.

Well, I have no intention of playing along with not-so-subtle trolling.
However, if you actually have constructive criticism, go ahead and post it for everyone to discuss.

So, awesome episode, again... loved the time travel segment, even if the extra-loud BTTF Theme threatened to blow my portable speakers...
As per usual, I threw the show on while I worked, but as an added bonus I was using the aforementioned portable speakers, so now I'm subjecting my innocent and unwitting co-workers to the gang's signature brand of insanity. Made for some great enjoyment out of another long, drawn-out boring graveyard shift! Remind me if I ever meet any of you lot to buy ya a round of drinks, and I look forward to the next show!

Thanks dude.
This gets said a lot, but it's precisely responses like this that make putting in the work worthwhile.

So you take no humor at all in that fictitious and ridiculous scenario at all huh?
No sense of humor I take it.
Here's my criticism then- loosen up
Because come on think about it, we're talking about plastic toys here after all, based on a 80's cartoon.

How can you hate Cybetron Unicron. That thing is sweet.
I hope Hasbro does an actual FOC toy line, instead of what they did with WFC, just putting them into the Universe line. I'd be fine with a larger scale, like the Marvel crossover scale, around 15 bucks, larger allowing for more details.

Packaging was top notch, quality control was a bit iffy.

Your comments on the podcast for the past few episodes haven't exactly been funny. You say that we should chill out because this is about toys. Well the folks you're listening to happen to spend thousands upon thousands of dollars on these figures. It's their hobby, it's what they put their heart and soul into. These guys are experts in their field, in fact mostly everyone on this forum is a dedicated collector. Yeah, toys are serious business. If you want to try to be funny, then go ahead, if you want to criticise, by all means, but hey, if you just want to do this for shits, giggles, and put downs, then it's not going to be tolerated.

I'm a hardcore Masterforce fan. Any info you guys need on it, I'm free to give.
Gotta stop at half-way through and go to bed. These 2+ hour long podcasts are killing me.

However, if anyone does find a way to start doing video commentary/discussion episodes, count me in! I'm no stranger to cameras, even if I don't update my youtube account nearly as often as I'd like..Razorclaw0000 wrote:thunderjacker wrote:i have to admit that i have not listened to this last podcast. for me, it is not the content or the collaborators that i have a problem with. it is the medium. i believe and hope that in the future, seibertron.com will have a regular video commentary that discusses the hobby that we all love. similar to the early days of the G4 network regarding video games. however, i realize that such passionate fans, such as myself, live very far away from each other and we will simply have to wait.

Regarding the idea of the Japanese trying to shoehorn their dub of Animated in with their dubs of the movies, turns out it never came to pass. Aside from renaming Bulkhead "Ironhide" (and Ironhide "Armorhide"), their dub of Animated was pretty straightforward and faithful script-wise to the English version. I'm guessing that it may have been planned for them to retcon it in with the movies, but after seeing how wildly different the two were, they dropped that idea and just gave Animated a good and accurate dub to the original.
Agreed on getting the voice of WFC Bumblebee (Johnny Young Bosch) for Prime Bumblebee.
Hexatron better include Sixshot's seventh "Wingwolf" Mode.
An old 1988 toy commercial claimed that Quickswtich was Sixshot's son.
Greatshot =/= Sixshot. That was a fan rumor. Greatshot has a different history from Sixshot.
Long live Ravage the Insult Comic Bot.

That's good to know. I'm glad they didn't try to fit it in, as that would have been awful.

Agreed. 'Twould have been interesting to see how'd they weave it in, but it's definitely better like this with them separate.Razorclaw0000 wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Listening to the second half now.

Still, the Japanese did cut a few scene snippets here and there, left three episodes unaired (but were dubbed and included on their DVD releases), and added the new live action segments with the Otoboto family. Oh, and let's not forget its GORGEOUS new openings, cool new endings, and silly next-episode previews.

@Sabrblade - Ravage lives @ http://youtube.com/ravagetheinsultcomic - new video going up today. (and I agree about the length of time just so you know.)
@Samsonator - doing my best to make it to BotCon '12 and Auto Assembly '12 next year. I will be glad to take you up on your offer.
@thunderjacker - the general belief is that more people would rather download and listen to audio either on-the-go or on some mobile device rather than watch it on a computer or smartphone. it's much more distracting to have to watch something than just listening to it and most people listen to it while driving or working. listening allows for easier multi-tasking than a video format does. personally, I'm a video guy, but even I would most likely not sit and watch any kind of program for over 2 hours. it took everything I had inside me to sit all the way through Dark of the Moon. I generally avoid 2 hour+ movies.

About the Masterpiece line,i think it would lose the concept if they made every repaint just because they can.
I dont really all that much excited for third party.
Transformers Prime is awesome.
And what part of your movie collection are you selling Counterpunch?
PS:No Striker Prime talk?
