Metrodome has put up their official trailer for the UK release of Transformers: The Movie - The Ultimate Edition. As can be seen below.
Metrodome also released the following statement on their board.
"Hi all
We are extremely pleased and excited to announce that after 21 years since its first release, Metrodome will be bringing back Transformers the Movie to the big screen! Opening one month before the Ultimate Edition DVD release, the movie will show exclusively at the Apollo West End Cinema in London from Friday 4th May and run for a two week period.
This is the perfect chance for all you fans that missed out on the original theatrical release to see how the movie was meant to be experienced in its full cinematic glory – the planet destroying mass of Unicron and Prime’s momentous battle with Megatron will never look better than this!
Tickets go on sale on Monday 30th May and with such an exclusive run of only two weeks, they will be high in demand so get in there and pre-book your seats on the Apollo’s website www.apollocinemas.co.uk or call 0871 220 6000.
And of course one month after the opening of the movie’s theatrical run sees the DVD release of Transformers the Movie – Ultimate Edition: newly remastered and for the first time in widescreen in the UK! Chris McFeely had said that Metrodome was working on that. But since the rights belonged to a third party, getting the official licence for it was difficult. As it turned out they were not able to get the rights to it in time for the dvd release. Chris McFeely does the fan commentary on the dvd's, but is not a employee of Metrodome.Stickshift wrote:I may have remembered wrong, but I thought it was stated a while back that Zone was supposed to have been included as a special feature?
