I was taken round by a nice lady. Movie stuff on display including Leader Starscream and Bludgeon. Game tie-in figures from War on Cybertron were on the stand - present were Prime and Bumblebee, Deluxe size is the only price point for this range. Both were in Cybertron vehicle mode.
Picture shows Power Core Combiners. She described them as 5 legend sized figures that combine. They look great.
Battle Ops Bumblebee on show - Price between Leader and Supreme points - £60ish - Looked cool.
RPMs were a surprise, the hot wheel sized cars. New higher price point called Stealth Force. The cars transformed into a battle mode with gun etc, poping out. The Prime was moterized with sound effects. I was told Bay liked this and is planning on using the idea.
As you can tell from the advertisement, we're getting Voyager Seaspray, Movie Deluxe Ironhide, the previously revealed Battle Ops Bumblebee, and Power Core Combiners - which look to include a combiner in the form of Bruticus.
You can check out the article at the Private Universe. If you're also a fan of any other Hasbro related figures, you'll be quite intrigued to take a look!

This Bumblebee looks like the same thing we saw prior to the preview of Battle Ops, but we had to take it down because Hasbro got mad. I'm sure he'll have the pull ring and glowing green stuff...

ANYWAYS WHY DONT THEY MAKE PRIME LIKE THAT HE WAS THE HERO OF BOTH MOVIES
that deluxe ironhide might not be bad
hes supposed to be small
ok here are my sizings that i think they should be
Autobots
prime voyager
ironhide deluxe
ratchet deluxe
bumble and anyone else who turns into a car scout class
stratosphere bigger than supreme (the cargo plane he turns into is bigger than devastator so yeah BIG)
Decepticons
megatron ultra
grindor supreme
starscream leader
long haul ultra
mixmaster voyager
rampage voyager

I don't know what to think now.
That seaspray looks cool. I'm hoping for a G1-style repaint though.
I think I'll wait to see more of Bruticus though.

Seaspray isn't as eye catching as I had hoped and the feet bug me. Unless that tug-boat has a third creepy merman mode I want nothing to do with it. And I'm straight "geewun" or what ever the hell it is.
Now moving onto the PCCs. I can officially add 2-packs and 5-packs to my list of favorite packs. (previously only 6 & 12 packs)
I'm eager to see what they can do with scout sized target/weapons masters and legends Gestalts kinda gets my nerd implulses going. Can't wait to see more!
BB actually looks cool.

Okay? Why would Prime be a voyager? Are you one of those people that think semi trucks are smaller then you think? I have a friend that still thinks Prime would only be as big as Ironhide. And why would Megatron be an ultra class? And Prime a voyager class? I thought we all wanted these figure to be more size accurate!

Well, they're removing the Revenge of the Fallen name from their packaging, and they haven't made anything official toward a Universe/Classics line again. My thinking is that evverything will be made into one line (Rumours are calling it Transformers: Generations) and it will have the astetics in between Universe 2 and ROTS that the recent ROTF figs like Brawn and Bludgeon are aiming for.

*jaw drops slightly*
*confusion*
Well well well. Don't know where to start. Oh yeah, ENOUGH WITH THE FRIGGIN MOVIE LINE ALREADY HASBRO! Gee wizz, can't they finish it up? That says "Autumn/Winter 2010" If they're planning to have RotF going on all of this year, then I'm goin' to be very disapointed indeed. But hey, maybe it'll give me enough time tofind a nice Energon Dreadwing for about $15 (hint, hint, hint) Now for my verdicts on idividual things:
Deluxe Class Ironhide: I thinks it's ok, but Recon is waaaaaaaaaaay better. I don't think I'll get it though. He looks inacurate to the movie and not a lot of fun overall. Too bad, I was hoping Dlx. Ratchet would have a friend. But again, Voyager Ironhide does look better compared to Leader Prime. Anyway...
Voyager Class Seaspray: Why in the name of Vector Sigma is this part of the RotF line? I thought it would be part of a classics line (which, ahem, Hasbro, ahem, you should actually be, ahem, planning for instead). Anyway, he's a bit too beefy and (color wise) dull for me. Another pass.
Battle Ops Bee: Didn't want this anyway. If Hasbro is gonna sell this for, say $60, then I think they're gonna have the same issue as they had with Desrt Tracker Ratchet: poor sales because of price, figure, and nothing new/that good to expect. Again, pass.
New Package Look: This, I must say, actually is the best packaging I've seen in a long time. For this, nice work, Hasbro. But regular old Sideswipe??? He'd better be Premium (though I can't see how much shiner he can get), otherwise this is just a waste of fine packaging.
Power Core Combiners: What the heck is this line doing in RotF? I thought it was going to be a completely new line, but no, it has to be Movie. Really, I'm getting tired of it. Let's move on to something fresh and new, like War for Cybertron, which I'm growing fond of. But, it's a limited line (that's what I heard) and won't have many figures to last us another year. But, Bruticus looks sweet, I have to admit. If the price is right (for the quality we're getting), then I'll pick it up. Hey, it might look good next to Legends Devastator.
I have no more to say, so good night, fellow Seibetronians; autobot-jolt is out.

but anyways im happy to see that he actually has some character to his bulk and am pleased that he is a voyager.
cant say im all that intrested in deluxe ironhide (expecially since i dislike deluxe ratchet)
and im not even going to bother mentioning BB *insert negative comments*
as for bruticus, that shit looks NAAASTY (good way) cant wait to see some more (and better) pics of it! my hopes (that will be let down) are 1 that the 5 pieces are all unique
2 that they are interchangeable with the old energon combiners *fatchance*
and 3 that there are no shitty weapons for hands and feet (good chance)
cant wait to see more of the upcoming line and also for some pics of the new RPMs

Where on the new packaging does it say that this line is ROTF? It doesn't. ROTF line is done. This is a new line in the same asthetic.

Where did Hasbro say that Universe 3 was actually happening, and would be in exactly the same asthetics as the previous line?

Maybe it's a mock-up? Wouldn't be the first time we've seen new packaging using an older fig as a filler.

I don't really like the movie aestetic, so this is kinda bad news for me, I suppose. Still, there's plenty of pricey products out there that fit my bill, so I can't say I'm too bummed out. But the pictures are so, so small. The figures might look nicer at a better size.
Posted by Autobot032 on January 29th, 2010 @ 8:44pm CST
Deluxe Ironhide: Pass.
Voyager Seaspray: Maybe.
Battle Ops Bumblebee: Pass.
Powercore Bruticus: Maybe.
Powercore Huffer: Maybe.
Figures being repacked and resold: Meh.
I'll wait for ToyFair in February (which will have clearer pictures and include video) before making my final decisions on these, but so far...I'm seriously unimpressed.
Fortunately, we'll see the end of Animated (Arcee and Ratchet rock, btw.), we'll have War For Cybertron toys (and they look to be rather incredible), and with this new "one size fits all" packaging, we should see the return of Universe 3.0, and Powercore might be worth a shot, but Bruticus looks to be one ugly sumbitch so far. =\
I...dunno.
So, there will be something for everyone, I just think the Powercore line is a bit...unnecessary. Especially when you see FansProject's Bruticus set...geez that thing is incredible.

I was just saying, they should be working on something like it. Ummm.. from Seibertron's own Q&A from December.
Seibertron.com: Setting aside the 2 limited G1 Reissues released recently this year, how does Hasbro plan to reach out to the adult collector market? With Alternators not planned for the near future, the homage based Classics "on hold", and no further Special Edition figures announced (didn't Overkill, Dragstrip, Megatron, and Optimus Prime sell well?), there appears to be more incentive for adult collectors to purchase reissues and other more targeted merchandise from outside import vendors and '3rd party' companies. Why has Hasbrotoyshop.com not established a collector service to provide Encore, Alternity, and Masterpiece figures in the same manner that MattyCollector is attending to their adult fan-base? Where are the previously seen 'Red Classics Mirage', and upgraded Classics Cliffjumper going to appear (theorized to be next in line as Special Edition toys)? Is there anything in the plans that caters more to the Transformer collector market, rather than just the whole of the Transformers brand market?
Hasbro: We think one of the reasons it may feel like there's not as much collector-specific products is that we are right in the middle of the "movie madness" and we haven't made any formal announcements for the Fall 2010 line and exclusives. We continue to look for opportunities to bring out the G1 re-issue characters that haven't been released as re-issues before or do them in a new, different way. We are trying to avoid releasing the same versions that were released in 2003/2004. We will continue to find these opportunities (like we did with Soundwave at Comic Con in 2009... hint hint). We will continue to bring Masterpiece toys as retailer exclusives where appropriate - there will be one in 2010. And as discussed at BotCon, we will be continuing the "Classics/Universe" toys in the back half of 2010 with a new name (it won't be called Universe 3.0, but that's the idea). In addition we also try to include fan favorites in the movie line like Bludgeon and Brawn as well as assortments like the Human Alliance assortment.

the reason why is because HASBRO says megatron is be bigger than prime
hasbro even says primes 28 feet tall and megatron is 34 feet tall and what ever hasbro says is correct
dont go by the film(and besides the special feature disc from the rotf movie even says megatron is taller)
and dude that truck prime turns into is only 14 feet is not that big

Nothing is confirmed yet. What we do know is that it will be a hybrid of movie and fan wank. Like Seaspray and that wee Bruticus.

Umm... no. A Peterbilt 379 (the model he turns into) is a LOT longer than 14 feet. Its wheelbase alone (which is significantly shorter than the full length of the vehicle) is 216 inches, or 18 feet. The total length of the vehicle is probably closer to 24 feet.

Can't wait for Power Core Combiners, a very promising line with the superior-than-before minicon gimmickiness
Seaspray looks quite nice and bulky, but that flat bed at the back of his alt-mode looks to become a flat pane of bot-mode kibble. Deluxe Ironhide - can't really see the details on him properly.
Battle Ops Bumblebee - he looks set to be very close to being a Masterpiece Movie Bumblebee - I wouldn't mind picking him though I already have a HA Bee and 2007 concept Bee. Should've seen the look on my little cousin's face when I showed him the pics of BOBB.
All in all, everything's nice

You're right, it won't be called Universe 3.0. My argument isn't about what its going to be called, it's about whether or not the Classics/Universe line is even returning. Mkall stated that Hasbro hasn't announced its return and that he believes the movie aesthetics will be used for future toys. As you can read, they clearly state that they are "continuing the Classics/Universe toys". That to me, means that it'll share the same aesthetics as Classics and Universe. And not that of the movie.
So for all intents and purposes, Universe 3(Classics/Universe) is happening, it just won't be called that. That's my argument.

If that happens, I will gladly eat my words, then buy the entire line.
However I'm calling it based on what I've seen so far. And it's far too early for either one of us to be right. We each got arguments to stand on, and evidence to back it up. For the time being though I'm willing to wait and see.

And I agree, we've only seen a sampling of Hasbro's product for the fall. The upcoming Toy Fair, but more likely Botcon, will reveal more of what's to come.
