Scott really likes cats. You can tell this, as the humans in the movie ruined it for him. (presumably, it would have been saved for him if it included an all cat cast as opposed to the human cast.)

Agreed.

I didn't even think it was newsworthy.
No FP&C for me yet again.

You know, every real person I've met who has seen the film has said nothing but positives about it. Every real person I've talked to has really enjoyed the movie.

Sorry about that, but I'm sick of this thinking everyone has seen the movie and just want to put the record straight. That is all. I will now go back into exile until I have seen it.

It's just that I usually just come here for news. It's rare that I actually have news to give before someone else has already posted it.

I would so buy that remake.
The human use for Bumblebee got me there. Everytime I've seen that movie that end scene has me wondering what in the WORLD they're doing on the alien car. Especially with his alien car friends watching right beside him. Product placement in the movie didn't bug me at all, so that panel didn't amuse me as much as it could.
But sad Bumblebee headlights? Oh yes.

Uh... it's different from having a couple of human characters talking about the movie? Two things to understand about VGCats: (1) Leo and Aeris (the cats, as in VGCats) are the main characters of the comic, and generally turn up to pass comment on whatever's caught Scott's attention lately; and (2) as the title VGCats suggests, the comic is mainly about Video Games - hence Leo talking about the game as well as the film. It's pretty simple, really.

So... being on the internet precludes being 'a real person'? Especially if you're a TF fan on the internet...?
I've heard reviews in both directions from 'real people' - both those I know online and those I know IRL. The overall feeling is that the TF fans were more mixed, while the non-fan blockbuster audience was more or less universally positive and the 'serious' film reviewers tended to ignore it as far as possible - pretty much what we expected all along. What I don't get is why it's suddenly become almost as much of a taboo for fans to honestly say that they didn't enjoy the movie, felt disappointed by it, or for whatever reason simply weren't enthused by it, as it once was to admit to liking what we'd seen of it before its release.

With near certainty, yes.
The internet separates accountability from people and their opinions. How many people that you know of online, who routinely run their mouths, act the same way when confronted by other people in person?

I wouldn't think so. I think it lets them live a different life to some extent. I've seen lots of people say lots of rude and out right retarded things to others, but when I went to Botcon I saw none of that.
That's not entirely true, the only tools I saw were a couple of idiots with megaphones yelling the same joke over and over again in an attempt to try and be funny. Kinda gives the impression that they thought they were funny online, but were completely devoid of real life humor in person. Mind you, other then those two everyone I met at Botcon was a really nice and cool person I would sit down and have a beer with any day of the week. So I would have to conclude that there are many folks online that are nothing like they are off line.
Wait... this thread is about VGcats right... damn it I love that web comic.

It's called street cred.

Me, Grimlock, think VGCats dead-on. Too many squishies in movie. Me want to see more robot fighting! Not more america ball-massaging with soldiers.
Plus, me also like cats. Cats make me, Grimlock, laugh.
I'm bored, so I felt like writing my post as Grimlock.
