How about we don’t take the word of people who get their stuff through questionable means before they’re even announced, yes?
He comes with two to emulate the old double canon in car mode.
I see you're assuming, too.

Nemesis Primal wrote:If that's how you want to interpret what Hasbro said, then sure. I'm more willing to go with that logic than "the wiki said it so it must be true", since anyone could make an account and change the wiki.
It's not just the wiki though, it's the fact that Hasbro, according to previous posts here, based their designs upon the original G1 cars, which were repaints of the original Diaclone toys, which were named after the actual official cars. The new versions look like them.
There's no "interpretation" at play here. These are cold, hard facts.
However, if you feel challenged by those facts, feel free to misinterpret them any way you feel like.

Menasor was designed as a complete figure, so each component was designed at a similar time. Breakdown and Wildrider sharing the same parts was decided before anything went into production. So neither one is a retool of the other, they are simply 2 figures which share parts. That distinction could be crucial because through this lens we can see how the alt mode was not designed to be specifically a ferrari or a lambo but simply a sports car that could accomodate either make in a generalized fashion.
Does Wildrider look more like a ferari than Breakdown looks like a lambo? That's my question.
Because if they are both generic enough, then technically Wildrider is the first retool they showed us.
How about they both look like cars 99% will never be able to touch let alone afford?

He does come with 2 Guns. It's just that because of the detachable spoiler, he now has 3 "accessories" (yay this is what we always wanted right, more accessories ;) ) but no practical way to utilize them all at once, at least as far as we know for the moment.
According toChris Mcfeely the person who took the photos said he only comes with one https://twitter.com/chrismcfeely/status ... ZhRNPZkuwA

This.
(Watch the pile on from certain detractors because we didn't agree with them and theirs is the only opinion that matters)
I mean at the end of the day, those of us who complete the Stunticons are going to display them combined as Menasor, and you won't be able to see Breakdown anyway so it's kind of a moot point.
Heck, people could display smaller figures in front of Menasor so the legs can't be seen and you could get away without either of the leg bots thus saving some money and being triggered because a little white toy car not looking how they think it should.

Yeah there’s no assuming we know he’s coming with 2 guns but sure let’s take the word of someone who 1. Doesn’t prove packaging. 2. Doesn’t say where they actually acquired it. 3. Conveniently picked up a second only to get a gun with again zero proof of packaging, purchase or showing both in a photo one in bot mode and one in alt mode. But hey, we’ll know in 16 hours.
Also as others pointed out his characters description rumor says 3 accessories. So there’s that.
Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve proved ya wrong would it?

It's not just because I'm going to display them as menasor a lot, but also because I genuinely don't care how they look, the wildrider figure is nice and the colors on breakdown look really clean, so I'm excited for it. Transformers change, I try not to get hung up on appearance, I feel the same way about velocitron scourge

The new look for Menasor is a wonderful change, vastly superior in virtually every way to Combiner Wars Menasor, but people are getting hung up over Breakdown?
eh ... like you said, they look good regardless.

I loved cw menasors devil horns instead of legacy menasors bug antenna, but there wasn't much else to like about that mold

I don't know whether to be happy that I'm not the only one that's posted about this, or confused that both of you folks' posts haven't been similarly removed/edited/complained about by those among us who might be easily triggered by them ( Seibertron
transformers-legacy-line-discussion-p2145465.php#p2145473 ).
The only ones that know anything for sure are the people on the inside. I'm surprised that you of all people are stating a rumor as a fact.
Emerje
Exactly. Even the bonnet isn't fully "known" right now, so it's best to wait. Any potentially "teefed" (or even officially sourced) figures that aren't ready for sale may differ from the final products. They even state this on the official packaging as they often use such figures for the packaging...

I agree that neither is 100% "correct" in terms of resembling his G1 self. However, if you look at the 2, IMO the immediate conclusion is that Wildrider looks more accurate than Breakdown, even with the latter's spoiler. Therefore I make the conclusion that when the mold was created, it favored Wildrider.
That would mean that even though they were on the design phase at the same time, it was Wildrider who got looked at first, and since they look very similar, Breakdown is the one who is more inaccurate.
Calling him a retool wouldn't be exactly correct, if he had gotten a proper Lamborghini front, then he could be considered a retool of Wildrider, since it was the Wildrider design (by virtue of it being closer to an accurate Wildrider) that was the starting point for Breakdown.
This is great. I don't know my cars too well, so I was really trying to open more of a debate by adding this dimension to it. So thanks for responding and giving me your opinion on whether or not one looks more like a retool than the other.
As for my opinion, I've not been a fan of any of the stunticon alt modes so far, all of them have a bit that bugs me (best one being Wildrider so far). So I'll either have them in combined mode or robot mode most of the time.

The people sharing their recent Breakdown purchases all got theirs on Shopee.

Still won't mind getting the figure in the end, I'm considering keeping these versions in robot mode since they seem more toy-accurate than the CW versions but probably keep the CW versions combined as Menasor since that's more toy-accurate than the Legacy version - not by a long shot but the limb bots actually form limbs yadda yadda.
I also wonder if we'll get official insight on why BD's a retool, beyond the obvious reasons like cost cutting and similar functionality in combined mode.

Or use duct tape or something to stuff into the mechanisms which control the spring-loaded 'doors' which cover up Menasor's shins. If you can just jam those mechanisms and force those doors shut, then you REALLY don't need either of the leg component deluxes.
