We have seen several images of the latest Takara Tomy Transformers Legends releases from over the weekend too, such as here, but thanks to regular Seibertronian source Matt in Japan, we now also have a video review of LG-64 Seaspray along with Titan / Headmaster Lione!
You can take a look at the embedded video below, featuring comparisons between both the Hasbro and Takara Tomy releases of the figure and the slight differences in paint (some of the last we will see, going forward), in both vehicle and robot mode, plus quick reviews of Lione too. in this case, i like hasbro better. the almost non-existent, albeit painted, windshield turns me off compared to hasbro's distinct black windshield.

I thought there wasn't going to be any difference between the Hasbro and Takara releases anymore.

Legends is still a line that predates the unification, much like Movie the Best.
Lines going forward from here, such as Studio Series and Power of the Primes, no longer have differences.![:D]( "Very Happy")

I bought all of this wave mostly for the stuff that comes with the figures.
Targetmasters and Lione head... Sheesh.
I have the Hasbro Jumpstarters with Reprolabels on them and I'm quite happy with how they turned out. I'm not sure what to do with the LG versions if anything at all.

Thanks to site sponsor RobotKingdom and their official Facebook page, we have some new images of Takara Tomy Transformers exclusives figures from the Legends line - specifically, the two big bots under the name of LG-EX Grand Maximus and LG-EX Greatshot, or rather, their packaging!
The former is a redeco of the Generations Fortress Maximus Titan class figure from the Legends line, and an homage to the character in Japanese animated series Super God Masterforce, in which he is the younger brother of Fort Max and a Transtector, which Grand takes charge of.
The latter is a redeco and retool of the Leader class Sixshot figure from the Titans Return line, sporting a new rhino head for one of the alternate modes, and chest wings accurate to the Victory animated series the character showed up in. They were going to give one with Grand Maximus if preorders hit the 2000 mark in a specific time. They didn’t, so now Grand Max will be shipped without one![:-(]( "Crying")

If it wasn’t for the baffling shipping costs in robot kingdom I would’ve bought Greatshot on day one.

It also seemed like that time limit was like a day after (like I think literally the day after) they hit the "to make mark" on Grand. With the way it went down, it felt like it was more a con job then anything else with getting the pretender shell.

I used to be able to stomach it on large orders but something's not right about it lately. Seems like it gets based on the cost of the item and not the actual size or weight. Not that I'm one of those people that always has to correct everybody but the 2000 preorder mark was to make Grand and there was a goal of 3000 that had to be reached for the pretender shell to be included. It only hit the first goal, so at least it got produced.

Sort of like the last person to say they didn't like to correct people then said they were going to PM me the "correct" information, only to never send the PM, probably because when they went to find the information they noticed I was correct. But I digress...
According to the original announcement, as I recall, the 2000 mark was for Grand, and had a set date, then yes you needed 3000 to get the pretender shell which was an extended date. The scam part here was that their extended date was a day later. In fact, if I am recalling correctly, they called it even before the initial date hit, and they basically ended it as soon as they hit the 2000 mark giving once more the appearance that the pretender shell was just a scam to get the initial run orders.

I wonder how well the blue of the existing third-party Fort Max upgrade hands (which are awesome) would go with the blues on Grand Maximus.

This is easier for you to aquire than people in Japan since you can find this at a bunch of online vendors while it can only be purcased at 1 online vendor in Japan (and risks being sold out).

It certainly was not a day after, it was like a week or two later.
I'm pretty sure no one is stupid enough to actually have made that a one day thing.

The shell was announced from the very beginning as a stretch goal with a proper end date (listed on the store).

What made it seem like the next day is that it took that long for sites to properly report it as such, most (including Seibertron) thought the first 3000 came with the shell not that 3000 orders were needed for the shell to happen thanks to the language barrier. By the time everyone caught on and properly informed the campaign was nearly over.
