I had issues, but I read the prequels, and the story's good. Still not keen on the bot modes, though.

That'd have to go to Evan Almighty... Or does it not qualify as a letdown if nobody expects it to be worth the film it was shot on?

i voted for ff2, as it's the only one of those i plan on seeing. yeah, the first one was pretty bad, but hell, it's silver surfer! i just can't bring myself to pass up his big screen debut.
transformers? i've read the leaked script, and i haven't seen any signs of significant change since then. honestly, no matter how bad the first one was, it'd be a pretty major feat for ff2 to be worse than tf looks to be shaping up.

Transformers may just take the cake when cartoon Autobots and Shia LeBeouf become real people on the big screen.
So Shia is just a cartoon character? That explains a lot...

This is a little Ludicrous its not our job to be part of the marketing Junket for this film especially if you haven't seen it yet I implore wait till you see it before vote for it unless your employed by Dreamworks.

I doubt that Harry Potter is looking forward to the TF movie at all, he is busy after all.

Harry Potter is overrated and realy for families, The Silver Surfer is awesome!, but the Fantastic Four suck. As for Rush Hour3 I just don't see it happening.
Then again this is MTV, so expect the worst(something us fans have become use to)

No, it's not out job, but I do it because I'm a fan. Plus, I'd like to see the Transformers brand expand. If it were only those employed by Dreamworks voting, then isn't that kind of defeatign the purpose? I voted for the movie and probably will many more times.
Besides, you missed the point. The award is for the "best summer movie you HAVEN'T SEEN yet."

Of course Transformers is going to win. Even if we didn't vote, for one reason. "If it's based on something retro, it's 'cool', and MTV is all about 'cool'." Only reason why FF would win: Jessica Alba.
Look who's hosting, Sarah Silverman, yay for sub-par actors/comedians who have nothing better to do? The MTV movie awards are about as important as the Kids Choice Awards, meaning that, they aren't.
Edit: However, I did vote for TF, just for the sole fact the only other good movie is FF2, and I haven't seen enough on that to give it my vote.

If we don't show we care for the brand, Hasbro won't care what we will get in the future. It's the difference between getting a Neo Classics line or another Armada/Universe line.Phategod1 wrote:This is a little Ludicrous its not our job to be part of the marketing Junket for this film especially if you haven't seen it yet I implore wait till you see it before vote for it unless your employed by Dreamworks.Raymond T. wrote:That's what we do it for!Roboto750 wrote:it's great exposure for Transformers!

i have to say, that's pretty skewed logic. how are we telling them what we want in the line by blindly snapping up anything they slap the logo on? that just gives them an excuse to put out shoddy products (which some of us feel the movie looks to be) because they know we'll pay for it anyway. if you're so commited to "showing your care" for the line, tell me: did you make sure to buy all the animorphs toys when they were out? bottom line: just because the label says "transformers" doesn't mean it's good, or worth my money. as a fan, it's just as important for me to not support what i dislike in the franchise (which most likely includes this movie, unless all indications to this point prove wrong) as it is for me to support what i like. as you said, we don't want to get stuck with a crappy product, and that could be exactly where blindly campaigning for this movie will lead.

i think hes saying that this is a way to let the fans be heard so that people know that there are still fans that can be listened to or something

Speaking of Spiderman, that was one disappointing movie (based on myself and the countless reviews I’ve heard/read agreeing with me)!
TF just might have a chance yet. That is, if Dreamworks and Paramount would get off their lazy butts to promote the darn thing...

I realize that MTV is trying to create hype and get the audience involved but they should have titled this category "Most anticipated summer film".

Please explain to me the logic of waiting to see a movie before voting for it to win Best Summer Movie You Haven't Seen Yet.
