That rocks in so many ways!!
First the Target version, then the Magnus re-paint, now this!?!
Our boy Roadbuster is finally getting the hookup!

I wouldn't expect G1 colors, though. That would too easy.
But, as a G1 purist Roadbuster has never been on my radar. Same with Jetfire. If it wasn't an original Takara/Diaclone product and wasn't officially featured in the cartoon I don't care.
Plus, the new 1/60 version 2.0 Yamato Macross line put The old Bandai Jetfire (and all other Macross lines, including the 1/48 line) to shame.
I'd rather buy these reissues than pay even more for complete versions of the same toy with Transformer stickers.

You're probably better of buying the original on E-bay, or this modelkit, which also looks good:

Besides, you have to paint it yourself, so you can choose the correct Roadbuster colors.

Hasbro's not going to liscence it, and there will not be a japanese produced "G1 Colours" version. It'll only come in the original Dorvack colours (as shown).
Also, knock-offs of CM's Corp product have never, to my knowledge, happened since they produce everything within Japan, to my knowledge, so no Chinese folk swiping molds etc.

Outer armor- ugly, I wouldn't use it
Double barreled gun- attractive but not Roadbuster
Jetpack used as tripod cover- nice, too bad original doesn't do that
Articulation- this has to be the winning feature! I'd get this just for the articulation (and the preservation of my original).
I got a set of Reprolabel decals just waiting for application.

Blackstreak wrote:Ooh! Ahh! I like it. As one of the few who has the original 110% complete (although antennae is not in the best of shapes) getting a shiny new one w/ articulation is appealing. It'll save on the stress caused from transforming the original. The new one even has features the old one doesn't:

ANd, you are aware it'll run you a good 300$ right? (23,000yen plus shipping from Japan etc.)
