Emotionless, coldly logical, utterly ruthless… killing is all Shockwave lives for.” — Optimus Prime Prime 1 Studio is proud to present MMTFM-14: Shockwave from The Transformers: Dark of the Moon. Shockwave was left to watch Cybertron by Megatron long ago, arriving on Earth to hunt for the AllSpark shortly after Megatron. "Megatron must be stopped, no matter the cost."
In conjunction with the release of the new trailer for Transformers: The Last Knight, we are proud to reveal the teaser for Superior Optimus Prime, designed by the 'human Primus', Josh Nizzi.
The Superior Optimus Prime is the first in a new line of Transformers collectibles designed by Josh.
The New Generation is an amalgamation of both classic G1 and movie design giving you one of the coolest, most detailed and most unique Transformers Collectibles.
The NG Optimus Prime will look great displayed with Prime1's G1 and movie Optimus as it shows the different look for this iconic character.
Stay tuned for more updates and information.

"snore"
Wake me when they make a more original design for something not an over-expensive non transforming statue.
Save your money folks no statue no matter the detail is worth the bankrupting prices they ask for.

Never said exactly.
It's still just a slight change to the G1 Prime recipe while still being the same.
It's still just another G1 Optimus which just looks boring.

That sure looks more like Movieverse Prime's face to me.Deadput wrote:Sabrblade wrote:Show me where G1 Prime ever looked exactly like that.Deadput wrote:Oh boy another G1 redegin without actually changing anything?

Sure the face is but the body without Jetfire parts is pretty much a movie G1 version just like their previous G1 movie statues.
You can stick Optimus Primal's face on a slightly changed G1 Prime body and it would still just be a different version of the G1 body.

In style perhaps, but not in directly inspired by the movie character. It just seems like a design that's gone through so many drafts and redesigns and over-designing that it ends up at a point where it really doesn't look like the original.
Still, it does look awesome, and I'm really digging that tank tread cape.

Something a bit more original like thise should be what designers try to go for instead of generic designs like all the Autobots from RID.

Reminds me a bit of how the tank treads drape from RotF Bludgeon's shoulders. I like it.

Yes. Tread cape. Put kibble to good use.
And, while I do see and agree with the latter point, they don't exactly have the budget for that...

Honestly, they kinda do. Figures like Fracture and Bisk prove that RiD can be very creative and intuitive, they just kind of... skipped leg day on the Autobots.
Regardless, yes. Tank tread cape is easily the best element of this design. I'm really not sure on the rest - I have no idea where that head came from and I have no idea what part of this design says 'G1' - but there's at least a few very cool things here.

Eh it's easier sometimes to make a design look better in a static image compared to a moving scene but maybe change the head to the ROTF Megatron helmet which actually looks pretty great and this would be good design.
Also change the cannon to look a little less cartoony since right now it doesn't really fit with the rest of him. (In my opinion of course)

There also was a display featuring toys from all the 5 movies, where in the miserable TLK section, I believe I have spotted the Taiwan TRU Lucky Draw Optimus Prime and Bumblebee!

Though nor did it to Hasbro when releasing several toys of Berserker who only appears for a five seconds in the film and doesn't get to go with the other 'cons.

Hopefully the Bumblebee movie will be successful enough that the "Decepticonvicts" will get their own spin-off where they actually get some development. I want some more Nitro Zeus goddamnit!
With regards to the statue itself, it looks amazing but I don't have the budget to be buying a hyper-costly, xbox hueg immobile statue of a character who did absolutely bugger all. Now, if it were a smaller, less expensive "build it yourself" resin garage kit I might buy it, mainly because of my love of modelling.
