Description:
Limited to 500 pieces worldwide, the WST Dark Retribution Giftset includes all five Dinorobots in their sinister evil incarnation! In an alternate world the Dinorobots pillage and plunder all surroundings, seeking to eliminate all sense of life much as the Dinosaurs were mysteriously exterminated millions of years ago. Each includes chromed swords, die-cast parts, and comes in deluxe display packaging. Randomly inserted will be 10 lucky draw sets, in all translucent plastic and chrome, like the Crystal Henkei Convoy. Final colors and product may vary, other details to be revealed closer to the release date.

The box was mostly junk. It looks nice, but mine was a bit crushed, and the top was coming unglued.
But the real awesomeness is of course the toys, which are awesome!

Seems like it could be about forever with how many delays Alternity Convoy is seeing.

I only have the regular WST Snarl, but even that came with a poster of the Dinobots fighting the Constructicons. (Folded several times in the tiny box, still trying to press out the creases.)
Add a big poster of the Dark Retribution Dinos in devious action and I'd be sold.

From what I remember, the cover/box art is the only new'dark retribution'.
The inserts were nothing new, and I believe a card was included with a B/W version of the dinos fighting the constructicons.

After black, red, and green editions, what is next? Pink? Purple? Orange? It is kinda getting ridiculous. Do we really need to rush out and buy something simply because it has a limited release and is somewhat exclusive? Go ahead and call me Mr. Buzzkill.
Indeed you are Mr. Buzzkill... These are DINOBOTS after all, and well they are black variants. You sir, need to get these, and if not, well, enjoy your collection as it has a gaping whole in it. And yes, I do believe a lot was added in the color change.
But you are talking to a guy who likes black, or chrome, or translucent variants.

I have never bought any of the WST Dinobots before, but the giftset price is lower than buying all 5 by themselves.
And black repaints are always cool.

You haven't seen them in person have you? The box is superb and the Dinobots look georgeous. Mine are staying MISB though as I have no display shelves available.

Why do things generally look so much better in black?!?

Both statements were true to me. Import tax sucks for non US buyers but they do look good in black.

It says right there on the front page that all boxes were damaged and they did not receive any mint boxes-so mint box orders will be postponed.

Wait, you paid an extra £14 on tax? I only paid £11. I call shenanigans on Parcel Force.

Yeah sort of, £8 of it was Parcelforce's fee. The value declared on the parcel was $35. I wouldnt put it past them trying to rip people off or just stuffing up the charge.
