Wait, is Laser Prime's Matrix a different mold too? It looks a bit taller than ER Prime's

Looks pretty nice and seems much more worth the money than ER/K Leader Optimus. But I think I'll go with the family and wait for the inevitable Select Scourge/Nemesis.

Confirmed what I thought all along. Shoulders are locked in place by transformation piece. That makes him an easy pass.
And I was hoping I was wrong. I wanted to want him bad.

Uh ... G2 Laser Prime is an all-timer. It's a mold that advanced articulation, but it didn't stop there. It had one of the most well executed light up gimmicks of all time, light piped eyes, working headlights and trailer that was a mobile arsenal with three different types of projectiles.
In other words, it was a toy that went above and beyond.
This just seems to be treading water. Instead of working missiles, we get panels on the shoulders that move up to reveal some clear plastic bits. No rifle, but a dumb looking shield thing. Kind of limited articulation in the shoulders and an overly complicated transformation.
I don't know, I was looking forward to this, especially after they hit it out of the park with stuff like Rodimus last year. Now I'm just a little disappointed.

I'll stick with G2 and TR. I might consider a toxitron repaint but the shoulder would need replacing some how so it is likely a pass at leader+ pricing.

Ok, is the shoulder pylon fixed in place, or the whole shoulder? I see rotational joints, plus a panel that flips up.

I think the shoulder pylon is fixed. The shoulder itself looks like it is made up of 2 rotating joints, with the part connected to the torso allowing the arm to swing forward and back, and the second joint allowing the arm to move outward away from the body. If that is correct, the fixed should pylon will limit the range of motion somewhat, and I suspect that is the reason for the flaps, to at least allow the arm to be positioned straight forward.

Thanks to a heads up from Seibertronian D_Maximal Primal, we have word of a Twitter account (@QueenStodge) posting a picture of the first Wave of Legacy Voyager Class figures at retail in France. This marks the first worldwide sighting of this highly anticipated line. No word on whether or not any other figures in the line were sighted at the same store.
Check out the photo below, and let us know if you see Legacy figures in whatever corner of the world you're in!

Good to hear this line is starting to ship out already. I have Bulkhead and Arcee on pre-order from Hasbro Pulse UK with a shipping date of July, but if wave 1 makes it to the UK before then I'll cancel those pre-orders and buy them wherever they come up.

Apparently just the pylon with the missiles is fixed.
The shoulder itself under there appears to be a universal joint, that moves forward and back and out to the side. However both movements are limited by the pylon, which means you can't get it to hold his sword aloft and say "for the power of..." sorry got off track. Nor do the "pull sword out of his back" pose. Though the wrist would prevent the aloft pose anyway.
Outside of that, it looks like it has regular shoulder articulation.

So far I'm not impressed with the selection in Legacy (I'm sure that will improve) but I gotta say the packaging is well done.

Are those Legacy voyagers just open in packaging? That is definitely a huge downgrade. Never noticed that before if so.

Voyagers are 30 Euros in France?
Around the same price as Canadians and Americans. I expected the things to have the usual European surcharge. Interesting.

This is the type of figure that I want to like.
As much as G1 holds the corner of the nostalgia market for me personally, I'm open to other stuff.
And yet I still find that a figure like this Laser OP just doesn't deliver.
I think the overall look is alright.
From there, it's very mehhh...
And for being leader class, this is a really easy pass for me.
From what we know is confirmed from Legacy, my most anticipated (in this order) are:
Blitzwing
Motormaster
The rest of the Stunticons
Kickback
Blaster
Skywarp
(although with him the excitement really drops-off compared to the others. The list seemed so short I just threw him in there for grins)
This also may be all I purchase from this line.
Which seems bizarre after the last year and half to two...
My most anticipated overall is still without question, SS86 Sludge.

Can't wait for this to become another awesome Nemesis Prime/Scourge/Black Convoy recolor that only 2 people in the world will find in a mall in Japan.

My wants for Legacy are slimmer than my Kingdom wants, but still not as few as my ER wants
-Motormaster+the Stunticons (and their hopefully inevitable G2 deco)
-Bulkhead (Wasn't a huge fan, but oh well)
-Arcee
-Laser Prime
-Blitzwing (And possibly the Overcharge repaint if it happens)
-Inferno
-Dragon Megs
The big maybes are
-Armada Screamer
-Jihaxus
-Skids
-Cybertron Metroplex
-POSSIBLY Knock Out (Depends what he looks like)
Hasbro's still getting my money, but I'm partially hoping the next line is less intensive on the wallet, especially with the price hikes

Yeah, plus those increased prices…
I used to make a “maybe list”…
Now pretty much anything that would be on that is a “most likely not”.

Only of he's properly done in red and yellow and his own mold instead of a repaint of someone previous and at voyager size.Autobot N wrote:Well they are doing a Jhiaxus, so that'll be pretty coolRodimus Prime wrote:So far I'm not impressed with the selection in Legacy (I'm sure that will improve) but I gotta say the packaging is well done.
