Seeing as how this is basically the main thread for the Animated toyline (if we had one before, I can't find it), I'll post this news here.
Canceled designs for heretofore-unknown-about toys for a Deluxe Cybertronian Bumblebee and an Activators Rodimus have been found all these years later!
Transformers Animated scholar Keyan Carlile (who's been making all the big Animated Season 4documentaries) has received their CAD drawings and posted them to Twitter.
Keyan Carlile wrote:ACTUAL new discovery: At the time Transformers Animated was cancelled, a Deluxe Cybertronian Mode Bumblebee and Activator Rodimus were in active development. I was just gifted their CAD drawings. They never reached the model phase.

Below we have a review for the second pair of Cyber-Combiners that you'll shortly be seeing on shelves. Enjoy.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:If it continues the Cyber-Combiner subline might produce some of the best toys of 2024. The Cyber-Combiners are the best parts of Crash Combiners, and the Energon Powerlinx system, enhanced for 2024. Twitch and Robby make for a great pair but having both sets in I feel that the best combinations are between each human mech and each Autobot. I recommend the line and look forward to what's to come.

Thanks to JTPrime17 and Silver Optimus, we have word of several upcoming Transformers figures due top found listings.
The big one would be the next crossover figure with GI Joe being Optimus Prime as a MOBAT tank with a General Hawk figure. That means it would probably be the second version of Hawk since the original Hawk was only a colonel.
There is also news of a Studio Series 86 Blaster which will be Target Exclusive and simply a repaint of the Kingdom mold (so the same thing we saw with 86 Cliffjumper). You can discuss more about that figure here: /energonpub/studio-series-86-discussion-p2174642.php#p2174642
We also have listings for an unknown type of toy called Mixmashers, here are the codes:
TRA MIXMASHERS BASIC FIGURE STARSCREAM
Product Number: F9732
TRA MIXMASHERS BASIC FIGURE OPTIMUS PRIME
Product Number: F9733
TRA MIXMASHERS BASIC FIGURE BUMBLEBEE
Product Number: F9734
TRA MIXMASHERS DLX FIGURE MEGATRON
Product Number: F9736
TRA MIXMASHERS DLX FIGURE OPTIMUS PRIME
Product Number: F9737
There is also an Amazon Mayhem deluxe two pack and Prime Changers from the Transformers: One movie. What's interesting about those Prime Changers is that they have a street date of August 1st, which helps us know when we can expect the shelves to have Transformers: One product.

We thank Kanrabat for letting us know of a video review which was posted for the yet to be officially revealed Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Shockwave, now in voyager class. You can check it out below. It does go through the articulation, cementing the fact that there are no bicep swivels.
We also have comparison images to the Prime version which this design takes inspiration from, at least for the alt mode, and comparison images with leader class Bumblebee Movie Megatron, which shows that they are almost the same height.

Thanks to fellow Seibertronian Chuckdawg1999, we have a new video review for a brand new figure from the upcoming Legacy United line, Tasmania Kid! Tasmania Kid is a character from the Japanese Beast Wars II universe, and is part of the first wave of Core Class figures in Legacy United. Let's see what Chuck has to say.
I'm not that familiar with Tasmania Kid, either the toy or the character. I know it comes from the Japanese Beast Wars II cartoon but that's about it. The figure we have here is nice, but I find parts of the transformation fiddly, there will be some lines as is the case with some beast figures. While not the best Core Class figure in United Wave 01, it's not the worst and I know fans of Tasmania Kid will be happy.
It looks like an interesting Core Class figure, with a rather unique transformation. Is anyone adding him to their ranks? Let us know what you think below!

Below you will find both a quick written review and video review of the upcoming Cyber-COmbiner two pack from the Earthspark line which has a transformer combine with a human who is in an exosuit.
chuckdawg1999 wrote:Once again another early Christmas present in the form of the Cyber-Combiner two packs showed up from Amazon. The Bumble and Mo Malto set is fun and takes the Crash Combiner concept to a new level. The increase in size allows for more articulation for each figure and the combined mode. Yes, there are some hollow bits on both figures and the combined modes but they all feel solid with some heft. Bumblebee and Mo Malto are fun figures for big and small hands alike.

Hasbro is going big on the Bumblebee movie Cybertronian designs in 2024. Below you will find a review to the triple changer leader Megatron we'll be getting soon. Also, we now have the first images for the upcoming voyager Shockwave from this same subline. It is basically the same design we got with the core class version but now the size of voyager BBM Soundwave. The alt mode is still not much to look at. These images come from Transmimi over at TFW2005.

Peter Cullen, a man that needs no introduction to anyone here, has been honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2nd Annual Children's and Family Emmys this past weekend. The ceremony was originally part of the Daytime Emmys before recently spinning off into its own thing. And who better to present such an award to Optimus Prime than Megatron himself, Frank Welker?
This is a great way to kick off the 40th anniversary of the Transformers franchise which Peter has been a part of the entirety of. Since there's a real chance that you weren't sitting at home watching the presentation online you can watch Frank's presentation and Peter's acceptance speech on YouTube below uploaded by Optimus Production.

Haslab Deathsaurus, however, leaves no room for speculation now that he is in the hands of collectors. Here's what we discuss in this episode:
Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave. Tidal Wave was showcased as the Titan Class figure for Legacy United.
Recently revealed Cybertronian mode Wheeljack completes the pairing with Origins Bumblebee!
A leaked listing of a possible Studio Series 86 Commander class Optimus Prime calls for much speculation.
Haslab Deathsaurus is finally here! The crew shares their thoughts now with the figure in hand.
Transformers Issue #3 is out from Skybound. SPOILERS are abound as the issue is briefly discussed.
The Machine Wars and the Beast Wars are in full gear in this week's 1997 episode of the 40 for 40 segment.

Big news, the Transformers Legacy United line is being distributed across the globe and starting to appear in stores. This particular sighting is from a Toysrus in Singapore and it's only for the deluxe class figures. This includes Cyberverse Windblade, Rescue Bots Chase, Animated Bumblebee and Magneous, which is part of 2024's Rock Lord type gimmick for the line.
We have videos if you want a better look at the figures coming from Prime vs Prime and Chuckdawg 1999.
The images of the sighting come from Isaac who posted on Facebook.

Below we have a two part review for the Haslab Legacy Deathsaurus. It is almost an hour long combined, but it goes through all the accessories and how they are used in either mode when appropriate. We also see the weapon storage both in robot mode and on the throne, along with the three modes for the Eaglechest/Eaglebeast and Tigerchest/Tigerbeast figures. It also goes through any issues the toy may have, which is predominantly left to tolerance, friction and some parts coming undone under certain conditions. All in all, the QC appears much better than Victory Saber's and Hasbro has indeed taken more care into packaging the figure to make sure the chromed areas aren't scratched.
With this review, those who weren't able to get the figure then can see all that is offered and see if it is worth whatever aftermarket price is available at the time they see this. And those who were never going to get the figure can see what it's all about and further debate if the toy is worth the price point it was originally sold at.

Keegan-Michael Key is becoming quite the dominating force in voice acting roles for big animated films. We heard him as Toad in Super Mario Brothers and you can also hear him in Migration. He also voices Bumblebee in Transformers One. However, unlike other voicework where he tends to disguise his voice or sounds different than his usual self, he will not be altering his voice for Bumblebee. In the short clip from Collider below, he states that the director didn't want him to change his voice and to simply sound like himself.
However, we do have to remember that these are robots and thus there may be voice altering or an effect added in post production. He can only speak to his performance and not the finished product.

Ready for another serving of Tidal Wave news? Thanks to Transformers design team member Sam Smith (by way of our own Seibertronian Sabrblade) we have a rather hefty load of info on Megatron's #1 fan! Plus we've got a video at the bottom of the turnarounds that Sam shared on Instagram (mirrored on YouTube by Cybertron 21) and our first look at the amazing box art!
Sabrblade wrote:Tidal Wave designer notes from Sam Smith. Click each link to see all the pictures and videos:
With the daunting chant on impending doom and having been officially announced at Cybertron Fest Singapore, let’s get into the details of Titan Tidal Wave. With the launch of Legacy United, we knew that there was no greater time to revisit this character at the titan scale. This guy was a blast to work on, but we had so many priorities we needed to define out of the gate. As a Titan, Tidal Wave needed to deliver a large scale super articulated robot. As a vehicle, he needed to deliver a large flying aquatic war craft, which needed to be assembled out of 3 smaller vehicle form factors (the dark fleet). Tidal Wave needed to combine with Armada Megatron, to create Burning Megatron and we felt that he needed to have an alt mode that was achievable without the need to separate the vehicles in assembly. I’d like to say that we were able to achieve 4 out of the 5, but in the end, we did them all!
Shogo Hasui (Hasui san) was an absolute rockstar to work with on this project, and continued to find incredible solutions in delivering such a massive undertaking. He continued to push this figure forward despite all the curve balls that we through to him.
In the end Tidal Wave delivers a super articulated Titan robot, with waist, ankle, clever butterfly shoulders, wrist and neck. His chest weaponry all 8 turrets points are articulated for rotation, with the larger 4 featuring articulated barrels and 5mm ports for blast effect compatibility. In addition, his palm cannons also used 5mm ports that can be utilized in robot and alt mode
Tidal Waves color spec is primary based on the Armada animation with a few pieces of influence from the original toy, similar to Armada Megatron.
What are your thoughts on Titan Tidal Wave? Was he a worthy selection for the next titan figure? Our would you have preferred to have seen him at a smaller scale? Let us know along with any other questions in the comments below!
Transformers Legacy United - Titan Tidal Wave - Alt Mode
We decided early on, the importance of delivering the dark fleet as 3 separate vehicles to align to the original toy, and the consistent onscreen combination sequence that took place on screen. Due to this figure being super articulated, we would not be able to have him transform from robot to combined war craft without separating the vehicle forms. In order to avoid having him be referred to as a parts former, we introduced a secondary alt mode as a battle station / weapons fortress.
In order to combine with Megatron to create Burning Megatron, miniature versions of the dark fleet can be extracted from various parts of Tidal Wave in order to combine. To avoid being left with a partial titan during the combination, we introduced a secondary transformation to the hands to keep them in tact so that a very in tact titan figure remains. The miniature versions are able able to be displayed as mini dark fleet vehicles, that convert into their armored accessories for Megatron.
To assist with the added weight of the components, and to deliver a more frightening Megatron, Foot extensions are included to raise the characters height, along with the ability to port the arm weaponry into the sides of the arms or the upper shoulders.

The Transformers Team over on the Hasbro Pulse YouTube channel decided to have a little fun between BMac, Evan and Mark and do a sort of sports style "toy draft" picking their favorite figures of 2023 without duplicating picks for their "teams". They're picks were broken down by class as well as a wild card pick in no specific order. While mostly just something done for fun it did include quite a bit of banter between the three that has given us some insight into what we might find in the future as well as insight into the design process of figures they chose.
- It doesn't sound like they're working on a blue G2 Grimlock... yet.
- There was a brief, not by name mention of Dino King when talking about Core Scarr
- They actually called Nemesis "dommy mommy"... (Link is at least visually safe for work.)
- They said they have way more female characters than most people know about. Not sure if that meant to pick from or in the works.
- Apparently Takara gave the go ahead for SS86 Rumble and Frenzy to get their cartoon colors matched to their names (RiBFiR) after Siege went the other way (seemingly at Takara's request).
- Mark actually said Ultra Magnus has been under represented leading to the SS86 figure.
- Mark used some of Aaron Archer's original concept art when designing Commander Class Armada Optimus Prime.
- Mark was also the one that got Buzzworthy Tow-Line made.
- They joke about only making 4 SS86 Dinobots. They must hear that alot.
- Lots of gushing over Retro reissue pink Hot Rod and praise for that line in general.
- Mark actually went to a dump and waste management site for inspiration with Trashmaster (who was named by their copy editor).
- Tease more Insecticon repaints (but definitely no more Dinobots).
It's a little telling that while they praised the Studio Series line, most of their picks came from Legacy. Was there anything big that was missed? Let us know in the Seibertron Energon Pub forum!

Once again we find ourselves mourning the loss of another Canadian voice actor. Pauline Newstone, much loved voice of Airazor in the Beast Wars series, passed away on May 5 this year, though cause and age aren't known. The news comes from Garry Chalk collaborator Candice Santora who was spreading the word of her passing on Tuesday as it came with little fanfare at the time. Chalk himself apparently spotted her name during the UBCP/ACTRA Awards (British Columbia's actors union) In Memoriam segment he attended on November 25.
Outside of Transformers she was the first English voice for Frieza in Dragon Ball Z, Mum Mew in Monster Rancher, Mistress Centipede in InuYasha, Agatha Harkness in X-Man: Evolution, Haka in Mummies Alive! and various voices in Captain N.

When a YouTuber also gets to help set up the displays at a toy show it also comes with the perks of being able to handle figures early. That's what happened with Ben Custom Toys was able to work the Hasbro booth at Cybertron Con 2023 in Singapore this weekend giving us early access and our first look at the newly revealed Transformers Legacy United Origin Wheeljack. Surpassing expectations, Voyager Wheeljack does not appear to share any parts with the previous Deluxe Origin Jazz and for the most part seems to be on par with the previous Origins releases. As with the previous releases he's expected to be a Target exclusive, but an image of the box shared on Baidu appears to be a normal United box rather than Buzzworthy Bumblebee. The package also shows that much of the alt mode shell can be removed and probably isn't required to be hung off his back.
Also handled in the video are Studio Series Bumblebee Movie Megatron and Rumble, United Tiger Hawk, Thundertron, Animated Optimus Prime, Animated Bumblebee, Cyberverse Windblade, Rescue Bots Chase, Gamer Edition Starscream, 86 Scrapheap, Reactivate Soundwave, Optimus Prime, Bumblebee and Starscream, and closeups of others.

After years of demand and and a long wait for a reveal we finally have our first look at Transformers Legacy United Titan class Armada Tidal Wave in all his glory! Our first look comes via several sources including Toy Scope on Facebook, Ben Custom Toys on YouTube and social media platform Baidu user ????? (I Love You 3000). Unsurprising the figure is massive and features his cartoon and original Takara toy colors and his two alt modes, Dark Fleet and the massive airship. A little more surprising is he also includes a fourth simple base mode complete with ramp that doesn't seem to be compatible with your sprawling Decepticon cities (but maybe there's a way?), as well as smaller parts to attach to Legacy Evolution Armada Megatron to at least imitate their combined mode and can be added as towers to the base mode. Unfortunately, like Cybertron Metroplex, he will not include his Mini-Con Ramjet but we seem to be getting quite a bit for our money this time around.
We should be seeing him in stores in the summer with a price just under $200 depending on the whims of the stores. We can probably expect a bigger reveal in the coming days and an upload of the video played at the show. Thanks to Seibertronian Rodimus Prime for the heads up!

There were rumours of this circulating the web but now we have proof that the commander class toy of 2024's Studio Series line will be Optimus Prime. The idea of a commander class prime is not far fetched when we see how minimal and barren the trailer that came with leader earthrise Optimus Prime was (who was a retool of Seige Prime with vestigial parts). So this means we will get a new voyager sized Optimus Prime mold with a new trailer that should have more functionality and detail than before. We thank Nemesis Primal for letting us know of this update from JT Prime 17.
Nemesis Primal wrote:Well according to JTPrime, the listing for next year's Studio Series Commander Class figure has updated to actually name the character, and it's.....
