We have all seen those video reviews for Transformers figures in which the host goes on and on about the shade of blue font underneath the box. When really, we are only looking for as much information as possible on the toy. Well youtube.com user, YouHeidx has a review video of the Kabaya Gaia Guardian set. From opening box, threw the assembly process and into comibining robots, this video is extremely entertaining and informative. Check it out below or click here to visit YouHeidx's youtube.com channel.

Allow me to provide dialogue starting from the transformations:

"Purotekutobotto-Tai, TORANSUFOOMU!!"

"Sutorītowaizu, TORANSUFOOMU!"

"Fāsuto Eido, TORANSUFOOMU!"

"Gureizu, TORANSUFOOMU!"

"Gurūbu, TORANSUFOOMU!"

"Sukaifezā, TORANSUFOOMU!"

"Hītorokku, TORANSUFOOMU!"

"Purotekutobotto-Tai, GATTAI! Gaia Gaadian"

"Eh, Nani? H-Hotto Supotto-shireikan!"

"Graze, Transform!" (Note: Graze is Blades' Japanese name)

"Groove, Transform!"

"Skyphaser, Transform!"

"Heatrock, Transform!"

"Protectobots, Combine! Gaia Guardian!"

"Eh, what? C-commander Hot Spot!"

Off topic question about the Super Sentai model kits, where is a good place to buy them?

Very good video!
But I just need some clarifications first.

You guys say they are "candy toys".

Can we eat them? how do they taste? I do hope the stickers are edible.

How sturdy are they? should you use glue (a non-toxic glue, of course) or they snap well together? What kind of glue to use so the taste of the toy remain tasty?

Summer is comming soon and I do hope these luxury treats will not attract ants.

The reason behind being called candy toys is each set comes with a sugar candy

I could have done without the cheesy overused stock sound effects, but other than that it was a great concept for a review. I applaud him for doing something different.

I had my doubts it was something like that. I just couldn't resist.

Beside, the sturdiness question remain. I don't want to spend a fortune on toys that will look and feel like some dollar store knock-off.

Right, it would have been "Sukaifeiza" otherwise.

Think of it this way: They're more like small snap-together model kits, since you have to build them yourself, and have comparable quality. They have very limited articulation and basically fit together by snapping and pressing parts together, and while the molds are quite detailed, all the 'paint' details you would see on a full figure are stickers instead. Sometimes you have to disassemble them to transform them. So the plastic quality is better than a knockoff you'd find in a dollar store and they aren't going to break easily, but they are more like tiny models with an added novelty of transformation than real figures. The stickers can make them look a little cheap if not applied well. If you have painting skills they could definitely be done up to look really cool though. That said, they look very awesome displayed with small-scale figures:

Our friends at the Transformers Galaxy Hong Kong Fans Group facebook page have posted a nice gallery of Kabaya Series 5, which features Deathsaurus, War for Cybertron Optimus Prime, and Hot Spot. Deathsaurus gets most of the love, but we get a good look at all three. Images mirrored below.

Blame the face sticker. Those things are tiny and absolute bastards to put on.

I'm more disappointed in Prime's alt mode, it clearly needs some more stickers.

Hot Spot is much better than I was expecting. Come on HLJ, deliver my parcels faster!

That too. It's just kinda plain.
