New Galleries: Unite Warriors UW-EX Grand Scourge plus Superlink PKS-01 Grand Convoy Super Mode and PKD-02 Grand Scourge Hyper Mode

Great figure, but the supplied stickers are poor quality. They are paper stickers, in the same style as the "scanner" style Transformers Adventure stickers are (and similar to the original pla-model kit's paper stickers).

The yellow "Unicron" faction sticker (it comes with a blank white sticker, a Decepticon and an black, inverted G2 Autobot "Destronger" symbol, too) hardly shows on the white background, and the yellow smeared off mine onto the white background, when I tried to smooth it down.

Also, TFwiki's entry states that it comes with a G2 Decepticon/Autobot symbol, which isn't true. Could someone update it, please?

Here's a shot of Grand Convoy, with Nemesis Prime and Nemesis Grimlock.

Looking at the galleries of both UW Grand Scourge Hyper Mode and the original Super Link Grand Scourge Hyper Mode, an idea dawned upon me. Given the colors of the Super Link figure's Hyper Mode limbs (purple, black, yellow, and teal), one could use the limbs of the forthcoming CW G2 Menasor to somewhat replicate the original limbs colorwise in a vein similar to how UW Convoy Grand Prime attempts to do the same with its own limb bots. The only exception would be G2 Dead End being red instead of purple, but UW Ironhide is likewise an exception by being red instead of orange.

The same thoughts crossed my mind while I was working on these galleries. But then I just kept thinking that with as basic as the Combiner Wars deluxes are, let's just cut to the chase and make a drill, a submarine, and a fire truck to go along with the existing helicopter mode. They immediately get 2 uses out of them, plus the drill could be from Nosecone (I'm a believer!!!), the Fire truck could be for Inferno with a crane remold for Grapple, and the Submarine could be for Seaspray or Depth Charge or whoever since we've oddly not had many Transformers submarines (if any outside of Microns/Mini-Cons) ... or it could be a new hovercraft mode for Scourge so that we can do Galvatronus right with 4 Sweeps.

I'm hoping a third party company makes an Energon set, which includes a trailer and straight-up drone limbs (available in Energon, Nemesis and G1 colours), plus a Power Master set, with a parts-former trailer double set that becomes his armour and god-bomber armour.

I think both sets would sell very well.

I think that Grand Scourge's "Vorpal Blade" looks far better on Nemesis Grimlock (or maybe Nemesis "Big Convoy" Prime), due to the primal details, such as teeth, dragon head pommel, etc.

I expect it would look nice with the Black repaint of the (Voyager size) Hunter Optimus Prime mould too.

I wanted that one, but couldn't afford it at the time. I intend to give brand soothe a different blade, and give his existing one to Grimlock or big convoy.

A Masterpiece Dinobot (official or otherwise) might look nice with that big Hatchet too.

I think the weirdness of his combined mode really fits this character more than OP.

Though, if I had this guy, I'd transform his hips like this:

The galleries of Seibertron have updated with tons of new images of the newest behemoth to grace a Transformers collection. Bruticus features mostly repainted or retooled versions of previously used molds with the one true new mold belonging to Brawl. Onslaught is a retool of Hot Spot, Swindle is a retool of Rook, Blast Off is a repaint of Quickslinger in his upgraded fighter jet alt mode and Vortex is a repaint of Alpha Bravo.

Generations Combiner Wars Bruticus

Well I was afraid they'd have Bruticus' codpiece just hanging like that. But I guess there was no way to peg it in and still have the hips poseable. I wish the head was fully grey like in G1, but still - this is a "must-have"....

But why couldn't they give the hands/feet/chest piece that silvery sheen, like they did with the wave4 figures? May have to swap them out

So nice for them to release the Combaticons with normal colors at mass retail, unlike last time...

I'm gonna give an opinion here: Bruticus is the best regular sized combiner we have gotten from this line overall.

Here me out, this is why:

1) The Firetruck torso is the best since it gives very beefy legs and proper proportions, plus a good broad chest. Superion has skinny thighs that are good with me but are still a wee bit too small but still good proportions overall. truck mold has weird thighs and proportions.

2) Balance of limbs: Superion has a great set of limbs that make his combined mode look amazing and sleek, as he should be. Truck mold has weird shoulders that don't flatter the arms and the legs are just too long. firetruck mold has proper thick and shorter thighs that when the legs are added work out. And the Legs on Bruticus are nick and thick, and while they do not provide knee pads the combiner does not have robot mode feet to hide and the legs dont have lots of kibble on the lower legs that make it look strange (like breakdown).

3) arms: Superion would win this category with his twin jet arms. Defensor would lose this since he has a skinny and bulky arm, and the hands look strange on the car molds for arms and much better on the planes. Bruticus has planes for both arms, giving him sleeker arms that match the hands better.

Overall, Bruticus wins because he has excellent proportions, lack of kibble, solid legs, sleek arms that match the hands, bulk, beef and yet he can be sleek where he needs to. and he does not have any robot mode feet obtrusively sticking out that need hid. Superion would win if his thighs were a bit thicker and the back kibble was slightly better. Any combiner with the truck mold would need a whole new torso. Defensor would win if it weren't for Blades compared to the rest and the large torso robot mode feet (which kills victorion since she cannot hide those), and Sky Reign I cannot judge yet, but I still feel Bruticus is the best overall

I agree, but - unless there is some catastrophic engineering flaw in sky lynx a'la brawl - Sky Reign is my hands down winner because: Angry Egyptian God Combiner; of course any repaint we get would immediately supersede Sky Reign, but I doubt we'll be seeing one of those

It's like I said: gotta wait for him before I can rank him next to Bruticus, but of the 5 and all the repaints of ones to come, he is the best to me

He might be one of the few perfect figures ever, along with cosmos (I guess, haven't got one, but heard good things), and Blackjack; huh, they're all legends class...

Would definitely get another one if a repaint ever gets released individually

I can tell you the legends Cosmos was the best that there ever has been. He is a great figure and I love him to death

Well the legit rumors (thus far) for next year have a remold for cosmos slated for release, definitely gonna get him (plus he's a I think)

Can't wait to get Shocky.

The only thing I don't like about the mold are those rockets on the back of the gun. They look fine in gun mode, but in robot mode it looks like he has guns on each arm, plus his other gun arm which altogether looks a little off.

Still a great looking figure.

Continuing the galleries for Hasbro's Transformers Combiner Wars Bruticus wave, we now have Voyager Class Onslaught, the Combaticons leader. This toy is a retool and redeco of Combiner Wars Hotpot but with the alt mode ingeniously being reversed where the front is now the back and the back is now the front. We also have a video review up showcasing him and his ability to form Bruticus.

This wave is appearing at retail in North America so here is your chance to get a good look at the toy if you are wondering if he is worth the pick up. If ever you spot him in your neck of the woods, be sure to tell your fellow Seibertronians in the sightings section.


Generations Combiner Wars Onslaught

Onslaught = awesome. There's something about the head NOT having those silly robot lips that just makes the figure look cooler. If only they had given Blastoff a proper G1 style face mask as well. Those flat gray parts are just begging for some silver paint...

It's hard to tell, but is the Olive Green paint on Onslaught exactly the same as the paint on Brawl? You don't see matched paint like that on separate figures too often.

Once again, this is a great looking team. Cannot wait to get this guy

I assume they've gotten a small stock in and I just happened to order him early enough to be part of it. That's what happened with my other Combaticons.

Anyone who's had the misfortune to read me whine and complain about the glut of repaints/retools lately knows my stance on the matter. But dangit if this bot is not a prime exhibit of the most simple yet effective retooling. For an armored anti-aircraft vehicle, I'm convinced. Well done. Nice lookin bot too!

I just hope he wont be TT exclusive. There isnt any rhyme or reason to it anymore. Its been 3 UW figures that are for everyone, and 3 Exclusives. Some had new stuff Hasbro didnt have and others not. So its a toss up.
