New RID 3-Step Blizzard Strike Drift Kmart Reveal

Posted by LOST Cybertronian Aug 23, 2015 at 3:41pm CDT 32,085 views
Kmart has let the cat out of the bag again on a previously unknown 3-step figure. Like their reveal of 3-step Thunderhoof a while back we now get a listing for 3-step Blizard Strike Drift. The odd thing about this figure is that this is a new mold which skipped the normal drift coloring. This could possibly be the wave mate to the previously mentioned 3-step Thunderhoof. Check out the images below which show in-package, robot and alt modes.

Was there a normal-colored 3-step Drift at some point that I never saw?

Blizzard strike ? What a joke. Night Ops, Stealth, Toxic Slime, all these "themed" repaints are stupid as hell. Cant they use the money instead to make one Decepticon that isn't part of 1 3 step, 5 step, or shampoo bottle kiddie line ? Or was the wolf guy the only deluxe class con this TV show gets ?

Am I just seeing things, or are those two different head sculpts? #-o

X - I'm just playing evil capitalist empire devil's advocate here, but why spend more money to make more money when we can just make more money without spending any?

Agreed, That is a cool looking deco though.

Because silly themed repaints dont make money...especially kiddie simplified molds. The shelves are warm enough already. They dont need insulation too. ;)

Also, Cobotron, would your argument for capitalism still work if this is a new mold? Because thats what this seems to be.

It is? You sure?
If so, then well of course not.

For the record I don't really care either way. :-P
Hence, "devil's advocate".

I see, and yes that is the big joke with this figure. They are releasing this deco before we actually have a 3 step drift. Hence this is the first mold of 3 step drift we are getting. I find that awesome in a strange fun way.

I agree, strange and awesome. Maybe since Drift got the deployer treatmeant, the didn't want to flood the shelves with orange Drifts. So there would be some variety. I dunno.

Well great, because here are two brand new figures for you: Transformers Robots in Disguise Titan Heroes Autobot Drift and Grimlock. These make up wave 3 of the RID Titan Heroes.

Here are their descriptions from the Kmart website (where they are not currently available):

Here's a positive spin. I would gladly let my kid take these out to the sand box, that way the real transforming guys wouldn't get all messed up. :D

What was that about not wanting too much orange?

Well then you will be happy to see that none of the two newly revealed titan hero toys are repaints :)
