Drooling all over the place and wishing i could add MP-10B to my list of preorders. Alas, when it came down to it the cassets just seemed more worth while. Then again, these pictures make him look very tempting. DAMN YOUR AWESOME PHOTOGRAPHERS TAKARA TOMY

I can't lie...those are pretty. And very much wanted. Dang shame that Soundwave is soooo expensive. I surely do hope we receive a domestic release for him.

A pity that Rumble and Frenzy are essentially the same transformation and extra bits are needed to complete their robot modes.
But I've never cared for them much anyway. The real star of the show is Ravage and his new mold.

I just can't get into Ravage. Every new design they have for him never looks as elegant as the G1 version. These new releases try to make him too wide with shoulders and hips and it just totally ruins the feline aesthetic. Just looks chunky and awkward.
The jumping pose looks alright but that's all about the angle of the photo. The shots of him in a static pose on all fours is disappointing. The rear legs look terrible.
It's too bad. He's my favorite of my G1 cassettes (along with Steeljaw). With this MP release they should have stayed more akin too the original design. In my opinion of course. I won't buy him.

The Cassettes shall all be mine. Its just a shame the paint work on them is so shonky! Honestly, are they the FINAL products or were they painted at home by a kitbasher?

Paintwork is 'shonky' because they most likely are indeed hand-painted (resin?) prototypes, probably on a mono-chrome model. Likewise, the rivets on Ravage seem badly assembled, once again due to these being hand-assembled samples, and not the finished, factory-fresh products.

I wasn't gonna buy MP-10B but the paint job on this is absolutely amazing. Depending on price, I may add this to my collection. Rumble and Frenzy look a little thin in the legs though there really isn't a way around that.

In the end, this all boils down to our ability to purchase the products. And of course the Q.C. TomyTakara employs on their products. If this turns out to be another Hotrodimus ...........
The pics btw are prototypes. A lot more could be improved for the final product though I suspect this IS the final form. As for those critiques on the design, I really doubt it will be feasible to make an actual anime accurate product without compromising some parts/details. so we have to live with skinny legs for the two hooligan cassettes brothers.

I'm guessing that is where the weapons store when he is in tape mode. Also, I'm hoping the pile drivers become batteries and store in the battery slot of Soundwave.

Those cassette minions are looking really awesome, but the price is still ridiculous for what you are getting. I'm betting Hasbro will release MP Soundwave w/all cassette minions sometime next year for SDCC - that's when I'll make my purchase.

The cassettes are super nice. I wonder what that extra bit that looks like it connects to the piledrivers on Rumble/Frenzy is? Looks like it almost might clip to their backs to form a backpack, or perhaps be used in attaching to Soundwave.
Interesting idea, that could be it! I'm really hoping the pile drivers can store in Soundwave too.
Yeah, they look like hand-painted prototypes.
Oh, and Black Convoy is looking really slick. Great use of the teal on the waist. But, like many black Prime repaints, I can neither afford nor do I need this one.
