Fellow Seibertronians, TFW2005 member BattleUpSaber has reported finding the RID Platinum set in Singapore, where the set is priced at 129.90. The set, first seen at NY Toyfair this year, is of particular note, as it utilizes the Takara Tomy voyager class Grimlock - an extensive retool of Fall of Cybertron Grimlock. The picture has been mirrored, and can be seen below. And, as always, let us know what you think of this in the comments below.

Indeed, somewhere near $100 US, this actually makes sense, if hasbro had nothing to do with this mold, they probably had to pay a bit to help offset TT's cost of making the mold. I still find it inexcusable, and won't be buying it, but at least it makes more sense than any of the other ones >:oP

I am wondering if anyone happy with the announcement that this mold was coming to the west will still buy it at its approsimate 100$ US price tag. And while that price blows, it is very close to the other prices we have seen. If 3 insecticons cost 75$, a deluxe and voyager set being around that is not unimaginable.

Do note that toys tend to be over charged around here, so if the set goes for $130SGD here that should be around $65USD, not $95.

Which is still overpriced, but it's better than what we have here.

HA! No way it's going to be that cheap, $65 is actually comparable to a decent deal

I'm just glad I got the Takara version when I could. The price was a lot better and the Takara color scheme is more screen accurate.

But they dont. Time and time again, Singapore seem to have had lower prices on these sets. Look at the platinum seekers: http://www.seibertron.com/transformers/ ... jet/32433/

They were priced at $109.90 SGD which is approximately $78.89 USD, and Target sold them for $82 USD. So yeah, I really think it will be closer to 100$ for that 2 pack.

I still remember the era of G1 reissues being close to normal price - Prowl, Hoist, and Sideswipe being $15 each at KB Toys and all three insecticons packed together for $35 at TRU.

I was happy to hear it was coming to the US, but I knew that it was going to be overpriced. If it was just Grimlock and not another Beedeco I might consider it, even with Platinum pricing.

I guess if someone was interested in that Grimlock mold; what's the magic price point to make it worth your while?

But then again Tak's can be picked up from Amazon for under $45 shipped... :-?

Just as a reality check, a 2 pack set containing the same grimlock mold (prior to retooling) with a healthy amount of chrome and superfluous chromed up deluxe movie prime were released at retail for $30 (currently sitting on clearance at most shops at £17.50 near me).

There is no way that 1 voyager and a shampoo bottle simplified up-scale figure not intended for my demographic are worth $100 together.

What are you referring to? The Bee it comes with is the TAV/RID Bumblebee toy.

A "simplified up-scale" of what, exactly? That Warrior Bumblebee mold is its own mold.

We learnt at Toy Fair 2016 that one of the Transformers Platinum sets would have the previously Takara Exclusive Voyager Grimlock retool and a Warrior Bumblebee redeco. This set is now available at Walmart.ca and selling out quickly.

One of the reasons for this might be because it's price is not that bad. It is CDN $80, which is the equivalent to about USD $60 which is about the same price it cost to initially import those two toys to the US (Granted the Bumblebee mold was also available in the US and this Platinum deco is different to all the previous decos of that mold). If anyone is curious, that Grimlock is long gone from any site offering him and is now only available on e-bay for the price of this whole set. There is no solid evidence indicating where and when this set will be available in the US.

The listing offers us something extra too, some new photos. We can now see the alt mode deco and it seems that Grimlock is not painted black like the Takara version but rather gun metal black/dark grey, with some more grey at certain places making him less show accurate than the original Takara deco.

Even at $60, that's asking WAY too much. That's the thing I really can't get behind with these "Platinum" releases; they charge a hand and foot over what they're would for a regular release. Makes them an easy pass. >:oP

Though that Platinum Dinobots set sale on BBTS a couple weeks ago was pretty great, I wish I had more interest in those, because whoever pulled the trigger on those got a great deal.

Fellow Seibertronians, courtesy of Oscar Fung, who posted several in-hand photos of the upcoming “One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall” box set, we get our best look yet at this much anticipated new Platinum set. The “One Shall Stand, One Shall Fall” set includes a repainted Classics Voyager Optimus Prime and Classics Voyager Megatron, both of whom are sporting new decos and a rather large amount of clear plastic. So check them out and let us know what you think in the comments below.

I'll be passing on the "'Till All Are One" set for sure. I've never been a big fan of translucent plastic outside of windows or the like. Plus, I've already got the perfect (for me) versions of these molds: Transformers Cloud Optimus Prime with the wind vane from Evolution 2-Pack Classics Prime, the smoke stacks from 2006 Classics Prime, and the rifle and axe from Generations Orion Pax; and Transformers United Voyager Megatron.

I gotta say, I like how the windvane's deco looks like tech detailing in gun mode (and not, y'know, a shredded Autobot sigil).

No, insofar as we know, he should be getting a retail release, this is simply an alternate deco to play up a scene from somewhere.

The Autobot Heroes '86 Movie set looks interesting, but only parts of it are really worth it for me. I want to see some clearer pics of Ultra Magnus. If that's indeed a deeper blue than the individual Hasbro release from last year, I'll be sold. Springer, Arcee, and Kup are of no interest to me, as I have similar (or even superior) decos thanks to Takara Tomy Legends Springer and Arcee and Autobot Warriors Kup. Blurr looks marginally better than the first Hasbro release from several years ago, but with the much more G1 inspired Blurr coming up in the Titans Return line, plus the excellent paint job Takara Tomy will give it for their Legends line, I don't think a minor upgrade will be worth it when I can have something so much more satisfying. Again, looks like I might only get it for Ultra Magnus with possibly better blue plastic and more attention to paint detail.

I am so thrill with TFTM Boxset especially my boy UM. Thanks goodness and glad that I could not find the Gen.UM in store, otherwise, I would've kick myself now. I passed on TTomy Legend UM because of the red thigh. This is the version I have been waiting for, blue waist and white thigh. The white circular on the pelvis is a plus too. Love everything about him. His overall white and blue color look more richer and deeper than the previous Gen.UM. I wish they would've painted MAmbus to Alpha Trion like TTomy, or even as Wheelie, Kranix, Exo Suit, to fit the celebration of the 30 Anniv. of TFTM/S3 bots better.

Anyway, that Magnus is sweet it combines the dark Takara blue and Hasbro Minimus. But the others in the set don't interest me.
