Scalextric Racing Set Images and Press Release

For some strange reason the URL doesn't work. (probably because of the comma's) So just copy past the url (http://www.scalextric.com/news-and-even ... 3,SNS.html) and check the release.

The whole 'combat racing' idea is nice, my little brother and I would do the same thing with our slotcar set, only the only way to fight was to win the race...

However, the track seems overly dull and a 'decorated map' isn't enough. It's flat! Where are the banked turns, the overpasses, the loops?

I like it, but I don't know if I would use it enough to justify buying one.

It's the same scale as other Microscalextric sets, so the track should be compatible. There's a set in my Toys'r'us called 'Mini Mayhem' (with Mini Coopers, obviously) that has a fairly interesting layout and would go well with this.
