I am sorry, it looks crappy....

It might look better if the person had transformed it correctly.

I like it though. I'm really looking forward to this entire set and the Decepticons.

A far as the color difference between these and the promo pics, itlooks like it may be an issue of the background. If you look at the first pic it's sitting on a table and looks pretty close to the promo pics. The others are on a pure white backdrop hence they look like a lighter green. As I said that's my conclusion. Still looks pretty nice, but can't afford it.

Looks like two different colored figures to me. In the first photo the figure match the blue color exhaust/gun but the rest of the photos the figure is a different color than the exhaust/gun.

Not gonna even entertain the idea of this guy. Especially with DOTM looming and a few more Generations and RTS out there I am still looking for.

Being shot on the white background gives it a sort of aqua marine look to it.

For that reason i think it's alright. If i were to get it for the price of a deluxe at retail i'd have no complaints.

You know, this is what happened with Dark Skyfire. The pics shown were having him look like he was going to have astrotrain colors, but he wound up being black with Skywarp-esqe colors.

If you notice also with Kup he is the same color as United Kup, but with blue parts painted for the toy. So far, I don't like the blue-green because it's gawdy, at least the light blue would have made sense.

Oh well I paid for it I'll get him and sell it.

I think e-hooby used a back drop that caused the colors to look different.

Look at Kup in the promo pics, and then look at Kup in those comparison pics of the United, E-hobby, and Generations versions and the colors are exactly the same except for the blue paint in certain areas, and the battle damage paint.

This set could have been a lot less than what their charging for it. I'm a little dissapointed.

Looks like someone just had the wrong saturation on their camera, or the wrong light setting. These colors look very similar to the Armada Unicron of Light. I had to run all of my photos through a filter I set up in Photoshop to adjust the blue from my camera to the correct green of the toy.

I actually like the green much better. It makes more sense since it's supposed to be the moment the matrix light washed over Rodimus / Hot Rod when Optimus Prime was handing off the matrix to Ultra Magnus.

Counterpunch must be sharing his Hateraide with all the hate for this. I think it's awesome. Although I'm curious so see the real colors of the United Decepticon set now.

Ugh, this mold was bad enough when it was in G1 Hot Rod colours. Why won't it die?!

hmmmmmmm..... Ive had this on preorder at TFsource since it was announced and tbh it aint floating my boat.

I wanted Kup for the G1 resemblance, then i read Spotlight Kup and Igear make the new head. Now he's not so appealing.

I wanted Scrapheap for Wreck Gar to ride, but then i snapped a bit off my first Wreck Gar, bought a spare, and Scrapheap becomes redundant for the deal.

I wanted Hot Rod because he looks cool. then i got shadow scythe and realised soc Rodimus was ideal for the armour and im getting TFCC Sideburn. Dont need 4 of the same mold, thats just overkill (unless theyre Seekers).

for the cost versus the fact theyre repaints of largely recent figures i think im gonna have to cancel my order, TFsource can keep it. Just wish i didnt have United Scourge on the same preorder!
