Transformers Colombia, a Facebook fan page, has provided the first official in and out of package images of the upcoming Constructbots Dinofire Grimlock, courtesy of group member Felipe León Nájera.

This set was mentioned in a press release during Toy Fair back in February. Here's the product information from that release:

TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION CONSTRUCT-BOTS DINOFIRE GRIMLOCK
(Ages: 7 & up /Approx. Retail Price: $39.99/Available: August 2014)
Construct, change and customize the ultimate DINOBOT warrior with this huge, 10-inch tall electronic version of the breakout character from the new film TRANSFORMERS: AGE OF EXTINCTION! Kids can build GRIMLOCK and convert him from robot to dino-mode and back without taking him apart. Plus, GRIMLOCK unleashes his fire breath in dino-mode with electronic light-up jaws and 3 rapid fire projectiles! Armor up for battle with two additional rapid-fire cannons and an epic battle sword. All of the parts for TRANSFORMERS CONSTRUCT-BOTS DINOFIRE GRIMLOCK can be interchanged with parts from any other TRANSFORMERS CONSTRUCT-BOTS action figure, so kids can create the ultimate DINOBOT action figure! Also comes with a DINOBOT RIDERS-scale OPTIMUS PRIME figure that can ride GRIMLOCK in dino-mode, and which also features customizable parts that work across all TRANSFORMERS CONSTRUCT-BOTS sets!

Is it sad or happy that this is the best/coolest looking Grimlock to be released? The movie line can't even compare to this.

It's always happy if there is something you like. But I do not see what anyone else sees in this toy, those dino feet look so huge on the robot mode. So let me know how this is better than the actual Grimlock AoE figures

This is by no means a desirable toy to me. I am just making a sarcastic comment because the movie leader and voyager class Grimlock both look horrible in Dino mode. Despite the big clown hands and feet catered to kids, this Grimlock is well proportioned and has the best looking Dino mode compared to the other two IMO.

Ok, that's actually pretty badass. :APPLAUSE:

Is it just me, or are the Construct-Bots turning out to be the best part of the AOE line?

I just noticed something and if anyone can confirm or add to this, it would be most welcome.

I just realized that the evolve deluxe AOE figures might not be the same as the generations deluxe figures.

Here is deluxe evolve

And here is deluxe genertions

But are these simply redecos or more extensive retools?

I ask because unless he is mistransformed, generations Strafedoes not seem to transform at all from his alt mode to his robot mode:

Maybe this is old news, but I wanted to know if you guys also caught that and if we know if this robot does transform and if so in how many steps (I cant find a picture of the back of the box anywhere)

Edit:

After further scrutiny on my part, it looks like its the same figure. Actually, every generations figure on the hasbro page I linked below is the same as the ones we have seen but they look more like crap since they arent promotional pictures. This kind of saddens me. Dirge and Slash get hit particularly hard by these new pics and take away a lot of their cool factor I thought they once had. At least it gives us a better idea of what they will look like once we open them. http://www.hasbro.com/en_CA/shop/browse ... l&items=50

^ The fourth picture in your post, in robot mode, is mistransformed. Look at the box art on the in package generations release and you'll see that they've mistransformed the legs and done nothing to fold away the dino heads.

so that means that the robot head kibble seen in the alt mode will remain there?

Those Construct-Bot Grimlock images do a good job of hiding the fact that half of his dino body is hanging off his back. He's pretty nice as Construct-bots go, but I wouldn't buy him at full price.

Reports have been coming in for a while now, but Seibertron member reluctantyouth was kind enough to drop by with some photographic evidence that the Transformers: Age of Extinction mainline has started popping up at retail. Pictured below is Deluxe wave one, which consists of Crosshairs, High Octane Bumblebee, Scorn, and Slug. Keep in mind the official street date for these figures is May 17th, you may encounter issues actually purchasing them. Good luck, and happy hunting!

One SE Michigan TRU just put this case and those Sparker things (OP on Grim, and Drift on Slug) out on Monday, but I was broke so I didn't think to scan them, because I thought the street date was May 1st instead of the 17th. The price tag on the shelf was $14.99 for the deluxes.

Don't want to say more until I double-check availability tomorrow.

I've asked the user about the location and price, but haven't heard back from him yet. Will update when we get the info, or maybe he'll just post it here in the topic.

Hot on the heels of the earlier Transformers: Age of Extinction Deluxe retail sighting, we now have a report of the Leader class figures showing up as well. Instagram user andydbodine found Optimus Prime and Grimlock a Target in San Diego County. Again, the actual brick and mortar street date for these figures isn't until May 17th, they may not ring up properly during check out.

that picture has to be fake cause no TRU is ever that well stocked. now that i think of it thats probably why the AoE stuff was put out, the TF section was empty as usual and some new guy actually did their job.
