I'm still hoping "Bay's Wreckers" are new characters with zero G1 reference.

Now to me this could most definitely be Mirage. I never really made the connection with the mullet-eque helmet in G1. Plus, Jimmie Johnson's car colors do nearly match G1 Mirage, and even though this is a stock car, it's still a race car.
And I'm sure Bay is trying to make the GeeWunners shut up...
