With tidings of good cheer we also bring you news, couresty of fellow Seibertron user, Nemesis Primal, that a couple of new Studio Series toy reviews have been uploaded to YouTube! The first comes to us via YouTuber TonTon Reviews. The review is one that has been long awaited, and that is a video review of Jet Power Optimus Prime, the combined form of soon to be released #32 2007 Optimus Prime and #35 Revenge of the Fallen Jetfire. This combination is seen at the end of the Revenge of the Fallen movie as Jetfire gives his spark up so that Optimus can use his parts to power up to battle the Fallen.
TonTon Reviews - Jet Power Optimus Prime
For this second and third reviews, we turn to non-English speaking Kevin Liu, who provides his own review of Jet Power Optimus Prime, but of more interest is his review of #34 Dark of the Moon Megatron! His toy is leader Class and comes with an Igor minifigure. Whereas his old Voyager class toy had a moulded cowl to hide his damaged parts, this one uses a fabric one instead.
Please note that these following reviews are not in English.

UPDATE:
Thanks to fellow Seibertron user, EvasionModeBumblebee, we've learned that YouTuber Kevin Liu has put out a new video as an add on to his Jet Power Optimus Prime review, showing that the left over piece of Jetfire's torso can be turned into a big cannon for Prime to wield. Check out the additional video below.
Are you looking forward to these toys? Do you think this version of Jet Power Optimus Prime is better then the previous attempt? Let us know in the Energon Pub and stay tuned to Seibertron for all the latest news and reviews.

Same for me. Beside, all of my Movie Megs in my collection are voyager and I got rid of all my leaders. So it have no place in my collection anywhere.

Looks aside, his truck mode is the same size as Voyager Optimus' truck mode and his bot mode is the same size as Voyager Megatron's so does it really matter that he's technically a Leader? Just curious.

It's...pretty small, LOL. Vehicle mode is about the same size as the movie 1 deluxe, and robot mode isn't even a head taller (although it does look a little bulkier and more film accurate).
I'm really let down by this thing

Also I got my SS bad boys together for a late family photo, they look pretty awesome/menacing together:
(Also I haven't seen Bumblebee yet, so if the movie itself has to do with people's dislike of Dropkick, no spoilers pls)

He seems pretty accurate when compared to voyager Prime so I'm not sure I understand the complaints...

My only complaints about him are that he won't really stay up on his landing skis in alt mode and I wish his eyes were bigger. Other than that, I think he's awesome. His alt mode looks amazing and barely shows that he transforms, I like his Jolly Rogers, his weapons are fun since they can be regular guns or rocket pods, his transformation is involved and hits all the good notes that Stinger's does, and he makes a decently threatening-looking angry assassin man.

I also got the figure the other day, and I have just about the same thoughts as you. Even though his jet intakes are a bit loose, a little polish can fix that; and while I initially thought that his hips were too far apart, opening them at a 45 degree angle makes them look sooo much better to me

I'd be shocked if they don't release a AoE Ratchet, but I don't think it's been announced yet. I can tell you from personal experiences that it will be announced the day after you buy the DotM versionRodimus Prime wrote:Will there be an AoE edition Ratchet in the line (perhaps with a detachable leg?), or should I settle for the DoTM Ratchet to represent AoE Ratchet as well?

I don't follow the movies or their toys very closely, but what would the differences be?

That's what I'm trying to find out. I need AoE Ratchet to go with Lockdown on my SS shelf, but there's no discernible difference between SS DoTM Rachet and Ratchet on screen in AoE. Except maybe the aforementioned missing leg, courtesy of Lockdown.I don't follow the movies or their toys very closely, but what would the differences be?

The deco on AOE Ratchet is the same as DOTM Ratchet plus the legs are on ball joints meaning they are already detachable, so I don’t see why we would need an AOE Ratchet in this line

I seriously have to recommend SS DOTM Ratchet, by the way. Huge improvement over the old DOTM deluxe and the shade of green they use is perfect and really eye-catching. I’ve been painting him over the past few days, the robot mode is pretty much done so I’ll be moving on to vehicle mode soon.

The listing on Robot Kingdom tells us why we had not heard of it yet, it is an exclusive item. We do not know yet who in the US will be carrying this exclusive item, but judging at how easy every other Studio Series exclusive has been to order or obtain in the US, there shouldn't be anything to worry about.
We also have more images of upcoming voyager Rampage and deluxe Scrapmetal found on the Snakas blog.

Scrapmetal is so very RID2001 Grimlock that I kind of want to see the whole Build Team made out of RotF Devastator.

Now there's a Megatron with ACTUAL PAINT. I knew I bought my SS Megatron too quickly.
This one seem much better through the packaging. Looking forward in hand images.

Those cars should have all been voyager class and figures like Megs, Prime, Starscream etc should have been leaders. Blackout should have been way bigger than that.
They are in scale, they're going off of the official robot mode scale chart, the vehicle mode scale doesn't matter to them
Even the botmodes are not correct, Prime is smaller than Megatron and Blackout, which should be the biggest Decepticon is not the biggest.

Also, that Scrapmetal isn't so "Bay-ish" that it wouldn't work as a custom figure in other settings, given a new head.

Who’s a bigger Decepticon from the Studio Series so far? Because remember, Studio Series is running off of a new Robot Mode Scale, not one that already exists from previous movie toy lines.

That's probably because he's an extensive remold of Combiner Wars Scavenger. I'm honestly surprised with how so few people recognize this, assuming you hadn't yet yourself.
Sorry if that sounded "snobish", I meant it as an observation, not a condescending remark.

Its not being mentionned now because everyone already did back when he was first revealed, and we have moved on since.

I doubt that actually. In this day and age, reusing parts and bit of engineering is so commonplace, everything is called a retool

To be fair, the legs and the arms are similar in construction, but Scrapmetal is all new in the part department, so technically not a retool in the slightest.
And #31 is a battle-damaged Megatron? Surprising. Good call on the head, Hasbro

Posted by william-james88 on December 31st, 2018 @ 12:38pm CST
Knowing at least half a year's worth of the 2019 Studio Series offerings, there was one glaring unknown: SS 31. Well, now we know both what it is and why we had not heard of it before. SS 31 turns out to be none other than voyager Revenge of the Fallen (ROTF) Megartron with Battle Damage. That damage includes a new darker deco and a new head to reflect what he looked like at the end of ROTF. This was revealed on Hobbybase's Facebook page where it seems to be available in that particular store in Hong Kong.

I'm not even collecting these figures, and I'm glad the numbers all work now (even if it is a pretty low -hainging-fruit repaint) with a new head. Transformers and numbers-in-series has always been a BIG deal for me

Deluxe (argument against retool: different Class), along with Hightower. By contrast, Rampage and Long Haul are Voyagers.

I like his digitigrade legs and Muppet hands.
Know what else he vaguely resembles?

I would not mind if they made a Bumblebee movie Wheeljack. I have grown to really love that design. He's my favorite Cybertron mode of the movie bots, period.
I'm super excited for the voyagers, leaders, and WWII Bee. I'm saving an amazon card to help buy them once they arrive.
The combination with Jetfire and Prime looks pretty dang good. I'm happy with it and can't wait to get it beside the RotF version.
As for a wishlist, I'm glad you brought this up Densh. Here is mine before this line ends, besides what is already known to be coming (constructicons wise really since we are getting Devastator [squeals]) and in order of appearance:
-Movie 1 Megatron (the existing voyager was my first TF ever, I want an update to stand beside him)
-Skids + Mudflap in their RotF chevy bodies (I got the Ice Cream Truck and DotM versions, DotM skids isn't good at all)
-Dino
-car Soundwave
-Leadfoot
-Roadbuster (needs weaponized)
-Topspin, if necessary. The first is already awesome
-voyager Slug
-WWII Hot Rod
-Proper Infernocus (preferably leader sized)
-Onslaught
-Mohawk

I did that with Optimus, thats why i always buy my figures as cheap as possible. So that i can then sell them as equally cheap if ever need be and not be stuck with a bunch of unwanted figures.

I’m so glad I just picked up some of the RotF Constructicons, because these SS ones are looking pretty lack luster so far, in terms of bot modes. I know they had to make some sacrifices to form a combiner. I’ll still be getting them though.

That's what I see the most, especially because of the hands. Interesting how they're all combiners.

Here is the breakdown:
2019 Releases
- Scrapmetal deluxe
- Hightower deluxe
- Longhaul voyager
- Rampage voyager
2020 Releases
- Mixmaster
- Scavenger
- Scrapper
- Overload
That Scrapper is intriguing since he seems to take on the entire arm instead of half like Scrap Metal, meaning it would be a different toy. We do not have confirmation for the size classes of the Consttucticons coming out in 2020. What do you make of all this? Let us know!

I disagree. I cannot speak for everyone but money isn't necessarily tight but it doesn't flow like a tap, so splitting the 8 figures up over 2 years spaces it out and allows smaller purchases across time that spending about 200 quid at once. particularly if I'm right and Scavanger is a leader class figure.

I mean, they could have done it in the span of a year, 8 figures across 3 size classes, shouldn't have been difficult;
