Over here the latest stuff is wave 2 DOTM. Nothing else beyond that. Would you like to know what I pay for a deluxe? 19,95 euro. 36,99 for a voyager. 69,99 for a leader.

'kay?

Bloody. Hell.

Those are Japanese prices, without Japanese access!

19,95 is $25.38
36,99 is $47.06
69,99 is $89.05

RhA wins.

19.95 -> 24.81 AUD (we have paid up to 27)
36.99 -> 46.01 AUD (roughly the same)
69.99 -> 87.05 AUD (anywhere between 90 - 100. On "special" they'll go down to 65 but those specials are rare)

Oh my god........

I'll light a candle for all the European Transformers fan...

But seriously, what is their excuses to make the toys so bloody expensive in Europe? That's ridiculous to no end!
Is there a Grinch overtax or something?
:HEADHURTS:

This also make me remember about the video game sitiation in Australia. Not only Grand Theft Auto and the like are illegal in that country (remember, video games are only meant for little innocent kids), but the average price for a new game is AU100$! And the Australian dollar is about the same value as the US or Canadian dollar...

Is the Transformers situation a unfair as the video game situation for you Australians? At least, you are closer to Japan so importing might be a good option.

It varies. For the most part we get the first few waves, then it sort of dies off. We only got the first wave of the ROTF Human Alliance figures (which sucked because I liked that line) but we did get DOTM Jetwing Optimus Prime ... even if he was $160. (Thankfully I got him for $100 at TRU)

Importing from Japan? Yeah, it's a common option. I've done it a few times, price wise it works out a couple of dollars more but at least I know I'm getting them then. Plus I've now got a line into Singapore through Mach so that should help out even more. I just haven't told him yet. Image

$100 a video game ... *sigh* ... I hate that. It's effectively why i'm not much of a gamer these days. By the time things become affordable (i.e. War for Cybertron) everyone's over it. Plus we're still waiting on that R18+ classification so we can get all the rude and violent games.

Bad distribution, try living in the UK. Hasbro(UK) don't seem to give a toss about us TF fans.

Maybe I win on prices, but we've had a couple of things like Masterpiece Magnus and Jetwing Optimus ... plus we had Windcharger in great abundance before he even made it to the US.

Yea you win on prices, I win on distribution. All stores near me are sh*t, except for one that every now and then gets something past wave 1 or movie, but only in really limited numbers, like maybe one case which is usually bought by me, at least the stuff I haven't imported yet.

So yea Kran, be thankful that you live relatively close to the US and can therefore import the stuff you want cheaper than the rest of us.

Are you asking for sugestions?

because i often use bbts.com whenever i have a hard time finding TF toys at retail or from over seas. if you buy multiple stuff you save on shipping fees.

Right now,I don't care about TF toy distributions in my area. because I'm done buying anymore DOTM toys,I got the four i wanted five months ago.
I'll only be buying about 15% of the TF prime toys. Personally the 15% TF prime toys I want aren't super awesome,So I can't afford to wait forever to find & buy them.

You live in Germany, right?

I used to live there for a while and THERE WHERE NO TF'S ANYWHERE. When I moved back to Holland and I was in Germany on vacation a while later I did find some alt. Ravages (the 2nd version) for 24,95 at the Globus. Pretty sweet find.

But yeah, German distribution blows.

Yup.

Yea, there was a time where the only TF you could find was Alt Ravage, literally.

I'm pissed!!! Not just with my area, but with the entire country! Why is it that Canada has the TFP voyagers and the US doesn't!? Is it really that hard to distribute toys to a country right next to the one you're distributing to in the first place?

Wait... What?.. Where?.. HOW?!

Where the hell did you find Transformers Prime Voyager figures?

All the stores right now are still recovering from the holidays onslaught. The ailsles are empty from the various boxing day specials. What remain is just the overpriced old stock.

TrU had the lead in TF Prime figures but I only saw Deluxe BB and Screamers.

Walmart had the Lead in Generations figures, with Wheeljack, Kup, Thundercracker, and Warpath finally appearing.

Zellers have the lead in DotM figures with Airaid and Darksteel.

Is there a fifth player that I should know about? I'm in Québec BTW.

GOD I'M SO GELLY. No really, that is very awesome. I started collecting only at the last quarter of 2010 so I missed a lot. Just to make me cringe more, by the standards of your area, are they selling them at full retail prices, or is there some kind of sale going on?

On a side note, all the Zellers in the Montréal area still have a few "exclusive" ORANGE voyager The Fallen. As far that I remember until right now, they are still shelfwarming at a whopping CAN40$+15%TAXES each. I don't think they will ever go on sale. I found one with the box smashed up and asked the cashier if I could have some discount on it. She responded NO they will instead just send it up to the back for returning or something. They will keep them all... FOREVER!

For once, we Canadians (and even Québécois) got the big end of the stick. I blew all of my money on this, buying at a TrU way out of town, and it feel good:

Now, most Americans feel what I feel for all the figures they got while in Québec, we got nothing: Frustration and anger.

Let me put it this way, my tiny town's walmart still has the first wave of DOTM and has piles of Track Battle Roadbusters and both versions of DOTM Deluxe Prime.

I just checked my local TRU. It's still all DOTM: MechTech ****. I don't care for the DotM toys at all, or any of the Bayverse toys. I'm only concerned with primarily Prime toys. Thank god, I have the internet. As of right now, I currently own from the First Edition Prime toys: Arcee, Starscream, Bee, Cliffjumper, Voyager! Bulkhead, SDCC! Prime, NYCC! set, and Voyager! Prime is on his way as well. I have an inside source up in Canada that has been importing the toys for me. I'm still debating about purchasing the Prime! Entertainment pack on ebay, since it looks like the America's will never see that one.
