When I read some of these comments it absolutely astounds me how some of you GROWN MEN forget this is a cartoon based on children's toys.

They don't care what you think about the look or idea behind this show, because IT IS FOR CHILDREN.

With that being said, my children will absolutely love this show. Looks good so far.

They are the same person. He lost his memory of certain things due to the black hole. That's official.

Logo looks cool, it appears the current visual update for Age of Extinction is a run-up for this. Smart move on Hasbro's part to keep the branding consistent. Parents and retailers won't know the difference while we fans can still enjoy non-movie releases at the same time.

There's nothing wrong with speculating about an upcoming series. It's done all the time, and it's not exclusive to Transformers fans. Whovians are sitting around talking about what they want to see in Series 8 of Doctor Who. Bronies are discussing their wishes for Season 5 of FiM. You don't think we know that the writers don't always read the forum boards for feedback?

Even then, saying the writers don't care about our opinions is a load of bullshit. The creators of Beast Wars consulted fans quite a lot during its production. Not giving two craps about what you're putting out with the pathetic cop out that "oh, we're writing a kids show" is exactly what makes modern children's programming so unintelligent and ridiculous. A good story is one that everyone can enjoy.

Also, just to put your ignorant and hypocritical comment into perspective:

Meanwhile, you'll sit around and bitch about all the flaws of your transforming dolls.

the logo looks really bland & i dont like that they are using the RiD title again, its going to cause confusion especially on ebay when the toys roll in. Are they really so out of ideas that they couldnt think of a different name or are they just that lazy?

He might have been referring to all the negative comments about the show seeming to dumb/childish, poking at the fact that grownups are criticizing something meant for kids.

I'm betting that, like a LOT of things lately, the new Hasbro team simply liked the name but "didn't know" that it had already been used for a series.

With all the weirdness and goofs we've gotten from them lately, they don't exactly have the best track record thus far. :|

That makes more sense, though its still kind of hypocritical to tell others to stop complaining about the looks of a show because its for children while you actively criticize the looks of children's action figures.

A little voice talent update for yesterday's Transformers: Robots in Disguise cartoon news, Constance Zimmer will be voicing a Transformer. Yesterday's Variety article listed her, but didn't mention who or what type of character she would be voicing. She joins Will Friedle, who will reprise his role as Bumblebee, Darren Criss as Sideswipe, Mitchell Whitfield as Fixit, and Ted McGinley in a yet to be revealed role.

Zimmer tweeted the following earlier today:

I'm a Transformer!!! But I can't tell u much more, yet...

She's either an Elite Guard cadet, a bombastic Dinobot, a Mini-Con (if it's not Fixit), a Decepticon, or something else.

Fixit could be female. Armada Sureshock I think was implied to be female, since this is an obvious homage, they might carry it over.

Highly doubt she'd be a Dinobot. Not being sexist here, but the idea of a female Dinobot is just...wrong? (Go ahead and curse my soul fangirls :HEADHURTS: )

My money is on Fixit, Unknown Cadet or a 'Con

A female Dinobot could be a girlfriend for Grimlock. All he has to do is act a fool around her until she understands that Grimlock likes her.

Or she could be, you know, her own character not tied to any man.

Just sayin'.

I'd think it'd be better to have a normal Femme that causes Grimlock to lose his grim side. It'd be sweetened with a bit of character development, regarding her thinking of him as just another dumb Dinobot (I'm lookin' at you Sludge), only to figure out he's not all that stupid.

I get the feeling that, should she be the Elite guard cadet, her character and bad boy Sideswipe are gonna be the "it" couple of the series that all the shippers will be pairing together. :P

Are we ignoring the possibility of a human character? The only shows that haven't had a human sidekick were very experimental, which I doubt RID 2 will be

Well, Ms. Zimmer's Tweet did say that she's a Transformer.

But since you bring up the possibility of new human sidekicks, I hope that any new humans in this show are at least as decently-written/decently-depicted as the Burns family.

I hope it continues the Prime feeling and tone.
What I also hope it that these are just illustrations of the characters and not what the actual animation models will look like. Similar to the artwork we've seen for Prime.
I would love for the animation to be very close to Prime, just to have a bit of consistency for once.

A female Dinobot would be cool, especially if it's an old school Dinobot who's dumb as sh*t and awesome and adorable, while also being a freaking behemoth. I would really like to see a female version of that kind of character, since they're rare.

In Transformers: Robots in Disguise animated series news, the CEO of Polygon Pictures Shuzo Shiota has mentioned on Twitter that the studio is indeed once again invoved in the animation side of the new series. They were involved in the production of Transformers: Prime, too, so might we see some more CGI soon?

New TV series the transformers, the title has been announced. 2015 spring broadcasting. Again in the PPI are responsible filmmaking

As long as this show isn't all CGI, I'll be happy. Pure CGI cartoons are a bad idea.

My fingers are crossed for at least some of the human characters to not be new. Raf, in particular, seems almost necessary to bring back, given Bumblebee's role in the show.
